- Replacing the fabric on my Roman shades gave my livingroom a whole new look. Instead of buying expensive new Roman shades, or DIY-ing completely new ones, I chose to upcycle the existing shades by replacing the fabric! It’s not very complicated, i will show you how i did it. Its a simple and budget-friendly way to replace your window treatments! I mostly just wanted them prettier 🙂
I am Naomi, based in the Netherlands and I am currently redesiging, renovating and DIY-ing our entire farmhouse. I am taking you along and truly hope to inspire you in some ways!

A very rewarding upcycling project! Let me know what you thought and stick around for the upcoming major livingroom makeover!
You did a great job on these. I wish I had shades to redo it would so be on!!! -Jen
Thank you so much! Maybe you could find some second hand in some ugly colors! :D
Great job...
This looks great. It must be fun to be able to do it. 🙂
A ton of work but very rewarding :D
Ach ja wat kan ik nog zeggen, knap gedaan en wat lijkt het mooi bij de gordijnen! Alleskunner!!
Haha dankjewel weer! x
I could follow until you got to the gadget you put on the top. What are they called and where did you get yours?
I am not quite sure which gadget you mean, is it the system that rolls the curtain up and down? Because I actually took that off of the old curtains that I took apart. :D
Big improvement! Do you happen to have the original shade/hardware brand? I love that roller system as well. Thanks!
Thank you! I think they are by a brand called luxaflex… I am not sure if they are a worldwide brand.
What a great tutorial! Ditch the music; you ARE GOOD!
Thank you so much! 😁 That’s really sweet!!
I need to redo my shades, I have cats so they shred up anything i put in windows currently 🥹
