Let’s be honest, there’s plenty of aging rockers who are hanging on when they shouldn’t. Robert is NOT one of them. Still a great singer and performer. ❤
So right! Never was a Zeppelin fan. Just not my cup of tea. But, there was never any question that Robert Plant was a commanding presence on the stage, both vocally and physically. Now, Krauss and Plant have been performing together for nearly 20 years. It's a tribute to both of them for their versatility and enduring artistic talent.
Robert plant has aged like fine wine. He is a great singer who doesn’t try to do what he can’t anymore. Sad to see so many do that. He is still great but those LZ tunes require something most singers never had and Robert no longer has. What he does have is a great voice for his age💯
I saw him live with Zeppelin in 1973. Then saw him last August in Portland Maine with Alison. He was great in 1973 but he was awesome last summer! I actually liked their show better than the Zeppelin show. Plus he spoke to the audience quite often and the audience really liked and appreciated his sharing
Robert Plant is about the music, not the money, not the fame, he has been offered the world, he is about grab you by the soul roots music, and he seems to be content doing just that.
I see everyone is praising Robert Plant. I get it, he's Robert Plant. Alison Krauss is a great singer also. You may not like the country music she normally sings, but she has a wonderful voice. They seem happy singing together. They have been singing together for years. I used to listen to Nights with Alice Cooper. Alice couldn't understand why Robert Plant was wasting his time singing with Alison Krauss. Plant years ago decided not to join the other members of Led Zepplin for a reunion tour. He was happy just doing what they are doing in this video. Thumbs up,
@@davidanderson8469 after being a Journeyman Carpenter most of my life listening to saws and compressors, not to mention all the rock concerts I've been to in the early '70s I can still hear pretty good.
She is starting to show how much fun she's having performing with Robert. Love watching their interaction. They have much love and consideration for each other.
Love - Love - Love it, when my two favorite singer's duet together ‼️Their Black Dog duet is Outstanding ❤ Robert Plant my man, you are Forever Hot AF 🔥 🥰
The vocal blend, the great band, the choice of material, what a great thing when artists can do what pleases them! Super talents, super music! Thanks a billion!
I sure do hope that this song gets put on a live album !! Just the way it is, Raw !! I love everything about this video, the music is incredible and that killer Bass opening is addictive. Allison is a goddess and Robert still has it.
super, robert napriek svojmu veku je charizmaticka osobnost, alison s robert tvoria krasny duet, ich zive vystupenia su velmi krasne, ziari z nich nostalgia.
@@olafbigandgladi had the pleasure of seeing him with Paula Cole on her tour for This Fire. I’ve never seen someone lay down such a consistent groove. The fact that he also plays with such sensitivity in the t bone Burnett projects is very cool. He never calls attention to himself, yet you can’t help but pay attention!
They sound good together. Krauss taught Robert how to stay in his lane with singing with someone, and it shows. Plus, he still sounds like Robert Plant.
It makes me happy to see these two legends having fun performing their craft. The band is exceptional too which I would expect considering who Alison and Robert have played with in the past.
They are such an inspiration to me, those two! I remember first hearing Allison when she first hit the air waves. Wow! She was like from another planet with her voice and fiddling. And Robert Plant looking like a complete wild/crazy man. If you didn't know who he was... But together they have this unexpected wonderful chemistry. Wow, they're my musical inspiration. ❤
First time I have ever seen Alison without her violin and dressed in blue jeans. I met here at Winter Hawk Bluegrass Festival back in the 80s and she looks fantastic.
@@RobertHill-y7u I also met her at Winter Hawk Bluegrass Festival in the mid 80s and it was just her and my friend under a large tent before she really got noticed. She looks a lot better as she aged then when I first met her. Voice like a songbird for sure.

I wasn't even sure it was her with all of the plastic surgery she's "obviously" gone through.
Maybe I'm missing the point. Robert won't do a Zep reunion because he said it was music from another time. Yet, he brings back these rockabilly, bluegrass type songs from the 40s, 50s, and 60s no problem. His work with Alison is very impressive, but so is Robert's work with Zep. Despite that, I'm really glad he is out there having some fun.

Has a Bo Diddley vibe to it.
He could have played an old Sears guitar and it would have sounded the same.
Is he bazuking that Alison?
Super unique man.
@@texanleons yes, indeed. But is he bazooking Alison Krauss? 😄

Rock until you die!
Yes he is 👍🏻 ZZTop is also still doing great too. I saw them recently and Billy still has it
Seeing him in July in Hershey PA. Can't wait!
I agree about ZZ Top. Saw them a couple of months ago . Still got it @@coryjackson3131

I think he could still hit those high notes if he wanted to instead he went an octave lower
And he has got that soul...depth of experience.
he will bust out a full voice LZ vocal just to say==i can still do it! it's spine tingling!

That is very nice. You are a fine apologist.
They are a fantastic duet! Who would of ever thought a rocker and bluegrass could ever sound so awesome!
I know what you mean - they sound good together! Zep had many blues, verging on bluegrass songs over the years. He’s got a versatile voice for sure
When you are a great singer 😊 you can sing anything 😊always love Robert 😊
Ummm....BC they're both amazing?

More Grammy’s than anyone except Beyoncé
Beyonce has the most grammys?
Shes famous for being a bluegrass singer. Not country

Looks like he's having fun. I'm 70 and still having fun jammin on my Rickenbacker and Marshall 😊

Unrelated but shes always so well dressed, i love this outfit ,the hair, what a great lady!

How totally cool to see Mr Plant looking and sounding great, smiling and having fun.
Saw that drummer play with Molly Miller a few weeks ago -- absolute beast on the drums. Check out the shaker tied around his ankle. Great performance.
Well he's not exactly Jeff Porcaro is he. That is a fairly easy number to play with that 2/4 feel.

Not if you’re dead. 🤷♂️
Jay Bellerose! Fantastic “feel” drummer. Super nice guy and fun to talk to. Saw him play with Molly Miller as well.
He made me, for the first time, really appreciate the drums (drummer) as a musical instrument. Not just a keeper of the beat ❤️
Saw them both back in 2008 after Raising Sand and loved it!!!
