Harli, I work in an ER and had a rotten day including short staffed, a dr. cussing at me for something that was not my fault, and a bunch of critical care patients. It was so frustrating I cried on my drive home and sitting in bed. Tuned on this vid to distract me and I ended up laughing and built up the energy to shower and take care of myself. I appreciate you (and your family) so much. Thank you.

The most expensive plant in my collection is 80€ (aprox. 95$) - M. Thai Constellation (it is a full plant, maybe size M/L).
That is about my price range as well. I get a lot of the little plants for 2 to 3 dollars. It takes longer for thr plants to get big but I am patient (with plants) and can wait.
Same. The most expensive houseplant I've bought at this point was around $30. I can't afford to spend $60+ on a plant.

So true!!! The most I've spent on 1 plant is 24.99 for a pretty good sized burgundy rubber tree. I will shell out the money for those, they are my favorites, but, I have 5 of them, various types, and the burgundy was the most expensive one. I was blessed to buy a teinke and a Russo that was in the same pot for 19.99! Couldn't pass that up! 🙂

How sweet that Ryan's perspective changed upon meeting another plant lover and he now has an appreciation for us planty peeps. I know I can go on and on about plants with a complete stranger who loves plants too in Lowes or Home Depot.💚🌱🌿 I haven't spent more than $25 on a full size plant. My average is $4-$8, but I buy pretty common plants. Great job👍

Ryan, I am not kidding you... your reactions to everything is spot on to how my boyfriend reacts to me. Down to the shock in prices, not knowing differences and not recognizing a plant I’ve shown him a million times. It makes my hearts swell seeing my relationship in yours 😭😭😭
I never comment but wanted to respond to those last few moments of the video. I'm a front line combat veteran who's been deployed a a handful of times... I deal with PTSD, TBI and a few injuries on a daily basis. Two big things that help my mental/physical health is running and planting. My dog, running and planting keep me very zen (mostly) but when my body is in too much pain to run I've still got my planting to keep me chill (of course, my dog is always there). A good friend of mine introduced me to their plant collection and I was taken aback by how much she was into them. She gifted me a few easy care plants and taught me the basics. I noticed that anytime I would work on my plants I noticed some major calming and relaxation. I was breathing deeper than normal and my anxiety would chill out. Kinda like when I run, gulf or snowboard. I thought I was kinda weird until I started meeting folks from the plant community as well and I realized I wasn't more weird than normal lol Ryan through out the video was how I used to be and Harli is who I've become 😂🇺🇲 As a guy, I get a kick out of Ryan's reactions because that was me and I totally get it cause I was there lol Today's video was much appreciated 🙏🏼

I have spent everywhere from $3 to $200 on a houseplant - it varies so much on the size and if they are easy/hard to come by. Plants are great and make life a little brighter! Love your videos and had a few laughs on this one. Thanks for sharing!

My average range for spending on plants is between $20-$50. My most expensive single plant is my albo, my boyfriend joined a bunch of local plant purge pages and won one in an auction. He knows nothing about plants but did it for me. I got home from work and he said (get in the car I have a surprise) we got there and he said I bought you one of those albino plants you’ve always wanted. 😂🤣🤣😂

Same here. I really want a scindapsus splash and a truebi but I cant bring myself to pay the prices so I guess Ill have to wait until prices come down. I dont like having to wait but if we all start paying such high prices all plants will go up more and more. Im retired and live on a fixed income. I just cant afford 50.00 for a starter plant or a cutting.

Looooove Ryan being accepting and kind about how he realized that the plant world is way more diverse than he thought. I like to stay under $50 for plants but I also am unsure in my plant parent-ness about keeping the more expensive ones alive. I also enjoy hearing Kai’s baby squawks in the background!

It’s so funny my boyfriend was totally uninterested at first in plants but when he does renovation work with his dad he finds himself taking photos of plants for me, he points out plants he likes ( more and more varieties every time) and he is so kind and supportive in his own way I love it.... good for u Ryan for being on the videos even tho it’s really not ur interest it shows how much u care for harli and how ur supportive in your own way... even with the shocking prices lol 😂

That is exactly what my youngest loves about plant shipments! He gets as excited about the packaging as I do about the plants!

Humidity. Mine took months before the first root emerged. Rooting hormone, spagnum moss and heat mat. And a lot of talking and 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Good luck. They can take a while but don’t give up if it’s still alive. 🤗
I feel like that’s too much for just a node, u can get a starter plant for under 120 on eBay

Man you guys seem to have the closest thing to a perfect marriage. Your clearly in love with each other. From the few videos I've seen I get the feeling even with your kids you still make time for each other. Not to mention the banter between you two.
