    This guy makes excellent content. I was super skeptical the first time I clicked on one of his videos, but I’m sure glad to admit how wrong I was. Clearly knows his stuff, covers important things that typically get left out, is self aware enough to effectively traverse the comment section of TH-cam(and the internet as a whole). He’s also great at giving all vehicles a fair shake and making sure people don’t make the wrong choice about a bike they might only think they want. He clearly gets that there is room for all types of riders out there, and recognizes that some people may want to push their bikes harder than others. Seems super down to earth and very unlikely to sell you a bike that’s wrong for you, just to move inventory, and that is about all you can ask for. Thanks for all you do, sir!

    I bought a 2022 Z900 SE last year. Absolutely love it. I hate that for the 2023 model year, they replaced the green finish on the frame members with black. I love that candy lime green.

      @PeterLoweOne  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I film in Canada, and while the SE has a black frame, the other models have a gorgeous green or red frame depending on colour scheme. I agree that colour scheme is beautiful! I decided to use the higher spec bike for this video, but the other ones look great on video.

    Solid video! Ive got a 23' ZX-6R and have been thinking about switching to a Z900 RS Cafe, this video certainly helps point out some of the less obvious differences!

      I just bought a Z900 RS SE, and I'm excited for the riding season! I'll have a lot of riding content on that Z900RS in the spring and summer, so feel free to subscribe. I do try to point out some less obvious things.

    Highly informative VDO comparing these two interesting bikes 👍
    Thanks a bunch for your diligent work, Peter 🙏
    You are right about the differences between the riding positions 👍
    I rode my Ninja 900 (GPZ 900R in many countries) for a nonstop 12 hours/1200 km trip (Beograd to Lake Constance). That was, in fact, quite a challenge.
    A similar distance on my Z900 RS is as comfortable as sitting on a couch (a fast one, though) in comparison 😂

    Thank you for an awesome comparison video! I’ve been going back and forth over these two bikes for months now. I’ve always wanted a supersport, but now being in my 30s, the Z900 might have a bit more longevity. Plus similar power figures vs price make the decision that much harder. I hope to ride both before I make the purchase, but time till tell. Thanks again!

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm the same way. I ended up going with the Z900RS SE because I loved the style and it's every bit of superbike that I need.

    • @toofastnobrakes
      @toofastnobrakes ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Similar “peak” power. But the Z900 will feels so much faster “because it is” all that torque, and similar peak power at 4k less rpm means the z900 will launch soooo much harder than the zx6r

    • @MotoDP
      @MotoDP ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@toofastnobrakes I appreciate the info! I think for me, the idea of the high revving race bike with lights 636 sounds incredible, but given how I actually ride, the Z900 just makes more sense and I think would be a better fit. Trading a couple ponies at the top end for more torque sounds A-OK.

    Nice comparison but you forgot an important thing, the z900 is much more forgiving for vertically challenged riders (I'm 5'6 30inseam) as opposed to the taller 636. Pretty much why I got the z even though both look incredible and honestly both are waaaaay above my skill level.🤘

    How is the Z900 on tight switchbacks/ mountain roads? I have a Versys 300 and love how it handles but sometimes want more power.

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both bikes are going to be excellent on any kind of mountain roads. If you look at the typical racetrack, they usually have several very tight corners. A lighter bike is usually better for tight turns, but I think I'd enjoy the upright seating position and wider bars of the Z900 but keep in mind that I have a bias, and quite like the Z900 as I bought the Z900RS SE which has a similar riding position, and nearly identical weight because it shares the chassis with the Z900.

      I ride my 2023 Z900 SE on every kind of road. I am 5'9" 140 lbs, and the bike fits me perfectly. Ride is comfortable (soaks up bumps well), handling is fantastic in all situations, and of course the acceleration is very strong. My favorite bike.

    I know that they’re different but can you do a side by side comparison between the Ninja 1000 and ZX10R, I want to buy one but not sure which

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I can, I absolutely will. Right now we have 1 Ninja 1000 SX due to arrive soon. And 1 ZX-10R also due to arrive sometime soon. If they're both at the store at the same time, I'd like to do that comparison as well. I almost bought the Ninja 1000 SX before I ended up buying the Z900RS SE instead, so I'm looking forward to doing more videos with the Ninja 1000 SX, and the ZX-10R is just an incredible bike that I'm looking forward to sharing with everyone. So what's the top speed on each of these bikes?

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kawasaki doesn't list a top speed, but there are all kinds of TH-cam videos showing people hitting top speeds. I'll be honest, on bikes like these, I don't even think about it. It's way way beyond what I would ever need. I only pay attention to top speed on lower displacement bikes where highway passing power would be an issue if you didn't have a decent top speed.

      with perfect gearing if zx6r go 255-260 km/h gps in the same condition z900 se go like 240 km/h gps with perfect gearing cos manufactory can make shorter or longer gearing like they want for overgear or fpr increase elasticity . anyway zx6 r more cos have similar power if not lil more + is lighter + have lower drag 100-200 zx6r 6,5 sek z900 se 8 sek 👍🏻0-100 more less the same cos whelly and tire grip ….as he was correct with 5 vs 5 k rpm at the same velocity roll z900 pull away up to 10 k rpm than he was wrongthat they must be on the same gear 🤭 unless the same gear give them the same rpm at the same velocity if not than NO !dosent matter higher or lower 🤮
