Good evening guys 🌝 I hope you enjoyed this shopping tour of Solamachi 🙌 Which shop did you find was the most interesting?? It's a hard question for me, but I'd have to say it was Kitano Ace (with loads of curry 🍛)
Solamachi looks worth a revisit even if one does not go up Sky Tree. The gems are hidden in the underground shopping area. Thank you so much for showing us around!
It was so fun going shopping with you! Please bring us to more shopping trips! Things are a little pricey at Tokyo Skytree though. I would name that claw machine doll "Mooochi" after my favorite Japanese sweet. #TeamMochi💕
Didn't know about the Ghibli shop in Solamachi. One more thing to put on the list to check out when travel can resume to Japan. The tension while you were eating with a white shirt. The stress, haha. Thanks for showing us around!
I have been to the Skytree five years ago but didn’t get to check out the shopping area. There seem to be a lot of interesting shops. I definitely want to check the Solamachi if visit Tokyo again. Your video makes me miss Tokyo and Japan 😢 Cheers from LA!
I miss japan so much. Was an avid tourist before 2019. I visited japan very often and i really love and respect japanes people, culture and the country.... now i couldnt visit for 3 years and i miss it to the heaven :( Great video even if it makes me nostalgic. I would love if japan reopen soon for tourists... i need japan in my life
Green mochi cold noodles and a Green Sumikko Gurashi.. Prob good to name him Mochi.. hey and a clean white shirt after eating the noodles. Win Win day!
lol lucky got that cute little green doll, matcho, meaning matcha soba doll, since you got it after eating matcha soba haha. Btw that kind green noodle looks delicious since i like any type of ramen : )
1:54 🤣 And wow, those food samples, I guess that’s where the restaurants get them! I like the tempura socks you bought lol too cute🍤. Don’t worry about slurping haha, that’s normal noodle eating etiquette right?? The funny thing is when I try to slurp my noodles intentionally and fail at it hahah, practicing my slurp technique to prepare for life in Japan 😅 Team mochi rise up 😤🙌 LOL adult curry, 🔞 curry 🤣. Careful, TH-cam might demonetize because of this curry hahah OMG you actually won at the crane machine!! Amazing 🤣 I never win😭 I will try to think of some names for the new channel mascot!!
yup slurping is an etiquette in Japan! Don't worry nowadays a lot of young Japanese people can't slurp either 😂 I never win the crane machine game, but I guess I was lucky this time! 🙌
the look of enjoyment you got eating that soba got me in the mood for soba (currently looking up grocery stores near me for the ingredients). I also think Kitano Ace is the most interesting; next time I'm in Japan I might just get all my souvenirs from there. What makes a curry only for adults?
After I finished watching this video, I asked myself: "How come I never heard of Solamachi until now?" Confession time: I have never actually been to the Oshiage area, never mind the Sky Tree itself. Yeah, I know. It's pretty embarrassing, considering that I've been living in the Tokyo area for a year and a half now 😅💦 Anyway, I enjoyed this one. Take care!
@@TokyoFoodieSarah It's funny because I'd be in some of my favourite places like Asakusa's Nakamise Dori and Ueno's Ameyoko (both within walking distance to the Skytree) yet I never visited it. I'll put in a better effort next time 😅💦💦
Great video but the audio was off the voice overs werent in stereo it only came out from the left speaker not a major issue for me just letting you know about it.
I didn't realise that, so thank you so much for pointing that out! I tried using a different editing software, so that could be the reason why... I'll see if I can fix that for next time 👍
@@TokyoFoodieSarah Ah yes, Funassyi is such a great character. I'm a little obsessed too, lol. Well, I mostly just watch their TH-cam videos. I also love Nyango Star. And Chiitan is so funny. But speaking of Funassyi... Do you remember what you said about the girls of NiziU? How hard they worked to pursue and achieve their dreams. I think Funassyi has a similar story. Funassyi applied to be the official mascot of Funabashi, but was rejected. So Funassyi became an independent, self-employed character, and worked hard to become the most popular and successful yuru-kyara. I have another video suggestion. Not long ago I learned about a character called Inarin. He is a very cute red and white fox with sushi rice on his back who represents Inari Shrine which is famous for Inarizushi. I read that Inarizushi is very different from regular sushi. Apparently it's deep-fried! I would love to learn more and to hear your impressions. Will Sarah put Inarizushi on her menu?

Glad you enjoyed the video! Indeed, I believe Solamachi is good just for a meal / buying some souvenirs ☺️

You're right, I think these are the tourist prices 😅
Mooochi sounds like a cute name! Thanks for that! 🙌
I absolutely love your videos!!! Keep up the great work ❤️❤️
Thank you! ☺️

Thanks for the comment!! The Ghibli shop was filled with cuteness 😻 I always get so stressed when eating noodles with a light coloured shirt 😂
Omggg I really love totoro❤️😩 I think this is the sign to rewatch totoro🤣
Hahaha 😂
Love your happy food dances!!!

The deli around the end made me hungry.. I’ll try to make some for lunch…
Nice vid Sarah
They all looked sooo good 🤤
I would love to go shopping there! The Kirby cafe store was cute, although I would love to see Super Mario merch 😂 all the food looked so yummy.
I agree the Kirby cafe looked so cute! They also had some fancy looking soda ahahah

I gotta say it is highly underestimated how important it is to not make deserts overly saturated with sweetness. Also, TEAM MOCHI! :)
Right!? Although once in a while I crave some of these sugar bombs... 😂 Yay team mochi!!

Thanks for that! Matcho 😂
😅
I've never had time to visit Skytree when I've been to Tokyo in the past, but I'd like to. Maybe on my next trip to Japan.
Definitely! 🙌

Thank you! The soba was great ☺️
The curry is apparently super duper spicy 🌶🌶🌶
Yeah that's a bit weird lol
You REALLY seem to like matcha xD, even matcha noodles are on the menu. Perhaps name your new plushie after it? It's green as well lol
We do really love matcha 😂
So like, call it "Matcha" right? That's nice thanks for the suggestion! 🙌
Hi Sara! I would name him Mochichi. 💚💚
Thanks for the suggestion!! 🙌

Holy crap Chips. The bird toy can be called Pidgey.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Its the first time i've ever seen anyone win at the crane game, usually they fall at the last minute, oh + MnM's rule lol, i hope your well?
I normally never win the crane game it so I was super surprised 😂
I'm good thank you! ☺️
wow totoro!
You can name him (your little plush) Matcha-won 💚because he is green like matcha and you won him.Or you can just laugh at my suggestion 😂
Omg no that's cute!!
Thanks for the suggestion ☺️
Matcha because he’s green
Nice! Than you 🙌
Hello.
Name that guy ToFoSa.
Can you please make a video visit to ふなっしーLAND.
Thank you.

well at least its better than flying a few thousand feet above an active volcano and having doctor jelly hair gel
for sure 😂😂
This young woman is very appealing. Cute. Hello from USA. 👍😉
He looks like “Bob”.
Sarah you are supposed to slurp when eating noodles To not do so is rude is it not ?
It used to be, but not really anymore! Some young people can’t slurp nowadays
You buy a ramen-conscious top and, 20 seconds later,......... you're slurping soba in a white top.
You're trolling me, aren't you?
😂😂😂😂
At least I learnt my lesson and wore the ramen-conscious top for Ichiran 👍😂
@@TokyoFoodieSarah True. ;)
