Congrats on the sponsored video! How time has flown since the final pass. My experience was very different from yours, with my own obstacles, but agree overall that it is one of my greatest accomplishments! 🎉
I used Becker for FAR and BEC. I had initially purchased Wiley but I kept failing BEC so decided to go a different route. All study preps are great, make sure to see if your job can cover some of the study prep cost. Also, I loved Ninja bc they had a lot of questions you could just practice right before exam days. Good luck everyone, it’s deff possible!
You’re amazing Heaven!! I’m definitely gonna be binging your videos when I start studying in May… it’s my third time studying and I literally have never take a test. I need to buckle down!!
The exams are intimidating!! But once you commit to studying, get into a routine and don’t let anything mess up that routine. Stick to it and you’ll get it done! Starting anything new is the hardest part.
The comment about we are all paid the same couldn’t be more wrong. As a CPA I most definitely get paid more than others without a CPA and do the same work. My firm can bill more for a CPA than non CPA and in corporate industry there are certain positions that require a CPA so you have a ceiling if you don’t get it.
The person who asked that was saying specifically for government since we don’t have different billable rates and we all do the same job duties. But for public or industry, you’re absolutely right and it’s highly encouraged! Although in my experience at the State government level, it is highly encouraged too. But it varies from department to department and state to state due to budgetary constraints and agency needs.
@@HeavensAudventureso true, government sector won’t make a significant pay difference so if u have a CPA it makes sense to have a side hustle if hanging on to your cushy, no stress, good benefits government job
@@JCLPAAyou don’t need a side hustle for government jobs.. you can make very good money. There are a wide variety of different government levels and departments within each level. Many states and definitely federal gov level jobs make a significant salary they would put public accounting to shame. Do some research before making false claims on the internet.
I have the worst test anxiety. You can totally do this! Don’t put all the pressure of the world on your shoulders. Give yourself grace, be patient with a timeline and don’t expect yourself to pass them all on the first try. You’ve got this!
Heaven, I have been following you ever since you started the exams in 2018. I just wanted to let you know you were a big inspiration for me and helped me not give up and eventually get licensed. It’s awesome seeing your growth during this time. Also, I love your sense of humor. Glad you’re doing well and maybe I’ll run into you at some continuing ed conference or something.
My job during close is ROUGH. Multiple 15-16 hour days, and then after I get though those 4-5 days I’m mentally drained and even when studying I catch myself having to rewind and rewatch because I zone out 😭
:( having to study during busy work seasons is so hard and takes so much more discipline. But it is SO worth it if you keep pushing through and get through it!! I’m sorry :(
I am now half way through still have reg and far left, i am just overwhelmed with reg because i am not a US citizen and know bth of the tax system, what do u recommend i do for reg?
Obviously Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Thanks for sharing Quick question-if I pass CPA from Connecticut state in that case can I apply for job in any other state of USA? Or is there any other exam required?
if you get licensed in Connecticut, you are only a CPA in Connecticut but you can get your license transferred to other states if you meet the other state’s requirements. It just depends on the state!
@@CalebsCorner704 you can’t sit for the CPA exam in most states until you have 150 credit hours so I would time it with that. But it definitely depends on your state’s requirements.
Hello Heaven, I'm waiting for my approval to sit for the exam, and I won't start my job until August. So I have most of the Summer to study for the exam, probably beginning with FAR first, how many hours a day (Sun-Sat) should I study?
The CPA exam? It’ll probably feel worse than getting a masters degree haha but I think all 50 states do require 150 credits before sitting for the exam, which is the minimum hours required for a masters degree. So basically!
Yes. We have struggled to find good, quality candidates in the last year or so. And some of our clients have had job postings up for over a year for accountant roles they haven’t been able to fill.

Amazing video Heaven. Do the 18 months begins from when you set for the 1st exam? Or once you receive your score?
Once you pass the first exam, your 18 months start! You have 18 months to pass all 4 sections.
