Its not really cheap. You get the same condo for 200 to 500 US Dollar Short term. You paid to much. You paid the stupid tourist airbnb prices. You also can rent directly in the Building. Very Building has there own building management how also rent some condos for short term rents. I lived in Bangkok for 6 years.
That area looks great and very convenient! Wish I can go on vacation there one day too! You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing! Take care! Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏
I'm nomading in Asok next to Terminal 21 for $750/month also through airbnb and the apartment has all the same amenities and quality. Other monthly costs that are usually left out of these types of videos... figure about $50 for Visa(I'm on a 60 day single entry eVisa), $130 for health insurance(varies by age), $20 for toiletries, a weekly massage adds up to about $100 which also covers a haircut.
$1200 a month seems like a ton for Bangkok. I live in Hua Hin which I don't think is 'that' much cheaper than BKK and I pay $1100 a month for a huge 3 bedroom pool villa in a gated community with a large yard and large pool. When I first moved to Hua Hin, I stayed in a similarly sized condo as yours and after one month I hated how small it was.
@@DamienYuen7718 You still can see get luxery condos for 200 up to 500 US Dollar for 1 months. But its right other digital nomads how dont check what are a good prices, destroy the city prices for others.
Another great Zane video. Could you let us, technically challenged people, know how you do your searching for places to stay? Thanks again for all the information you provide.
not to be a negative nancy, but that place seems quite pricey for the size. i saw a video of a couple in malaysia that are in a 2300 sq. ft. apartment/condo for about $1000 usd/month. your place is still nice, though.
That is a an idiotic comment, negative nancy. Malaysia is a DIFFERENT country. That's why it has a different name. Even in America you wouldn't pit a state against each other. Oh!??? You pay $1852 for a 650sqft apt in WEHO, LA? I can get a four bed house in Louisville, Kentucky for $1000. Not to be a negative nancy.... See? That would be stupid. I would be a fool to make that comparison. Even within the same country. So, to compare totally different country's?? Come on. Come on. You wouldn't compare USA and Mexico or Canada. Why lump the Asian countries together?.. Come on.
Very nice air b&b! Looking back to the air b&b in BGC in Manila when you interviewed an american TH-camr, could you do a comparison in price, features and benefits, etc on both manila condo and bangkok condo? I've only stayed at Pathumwan Princess which is at MBK Center for many many times. Have always looked at other hotel properties around BKK but never had the courage to try other places out. If an AirB&B is your best recommendation for digitial normading. How about for folks who do long stay vacationing at 4-5 star hotel properties? Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure why you state AirBnb is a “grey area”. You even show a screenshot with a summary of the laws. It is legal to rent out a property on AirBnb for 30 days or longer. And, if the owner has a hotel license, they can rent it out for periods shorter than 30 days. So, the law is very clear about this and I’m not sure what about this is “grey”. The only questionable thing is whether you as the traveler will personally land in trouble with the Thai law. That is unlikely. However , a quick search on the internet will give you some instances of people who rented short term via Airbnb and were thrown out when reported by other people in the building and Airbnb were unwilling to refund them.
@@TheKingOfBeans a grey area is defined as “an ill-defined situation or field not readily conforming to a category or to an existing set of rules.” In this case, the laws are very clearly defined, so it is not grey at all.
The funny thing about Zane and how he films is, on occasion, he will turn his camera at the worst time. What I mean is there will be a person or couple walking by and he’ll turn in the same direction and speed they’re walking so it looks like - to them- that he’s purposely filming them. I know I’d feel awkward if I was them. I know he’s not doing it on purpose it’s purely coincidental but I’ve noticed it quite a few times and always makes me laugh. Look at the look the guy gives him at 17:53 😂
Each time I hear your accent use the incorrect syllables to pronounce super it sounds like 'stuper' and it completly changes your context. It's so interesting American's aren't taught the use of syllables in the English language, it's mixed up😂

Thanks for sharing. I am nomading in Danang Vietnam where rent is on the higher side where 1000 USD per month is average here
It's amazing the value you get compared to 1,200 that buys me a closet in the worst neighborhood in NYC.
If their ain't a pizza, it ain't a Zane video.

I was just in Hua Hin last month looking for a pool villa. I will be back next year. I cannot decided if I really want to live in Hua Hin or Jomtien.
Bangkok is a major city so prices are obviously going to be higher then Hua Hin.
@@DamienYuen7718 No not really, you get the same luxery condo short-term for 200 up to 500 US Dollars.
This just destroy the prices.
That depends on what part of the city you choose to stay in. Bangkok is not as cheap as it once was. Thank the digital nomads for that.@@BadboyMax1986

Great new video with some really good info on costing. Always love these kinds of videos.
"No surprise massage" sounds like a good name actually!
Subscriber since the beginning of your channel. Very informative video. Thank you for producing this type of content.
I actually thought you would get more for that price there. Thanks for posting this video.
Another great video Zane. Thanks !
What a great place to stay! Very convenient!
Looking at AirBnB I see a bunch of month stays in $600-$800 range but it prob. depends where you want to be in Bangkok. Always enjoy the videos!
Yeah if you look a little further out of town you can save a lot but he’s staying in a prime area
Nice place and beautiful condo 😊👍
1st Zane, awesome Channel ❤❤♥
Merci pour la présentation 😉🙏

@Vanboys are in Thailand also, they have been getting by pretty cheap w/ the hostels and street food. But there are pros and cons with that...

$1200 in Thailand is insane! So they are now like Dubai

there must be cheaper options then Airbnb for monthly rentals in Thailand? Anyone know

The term "digital nomad" is such a cliche!
Tomorrow,26 Apr 2024, is the last day that you can contact me. Thank you
You could a saved a lot on accommodation by not using Airbnb
