    Its out of date information already visa exemption is 30 days upon arrival not 45 days. Changed a few weeks ago

      Wooh I’m amazed by how fast they changed! Hopefully it will switched back to 45!!

    Such a useful video Sara! Thailand is one of the best places to travel to as a digital nomad. It was so cool to see the Kidd nap co-working and that set (room) sounds familiar haha

    Can you not cross the border by land into Cambodia, Vietnam or Laos and it count the same as flying?

    • @joyoushapes
      @joyoushapes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do the land border crossing but it doesn’t count as the same as flying. They specifically asked me for fly ticket and bus ticket wasn’t accepted

    • @AbbathHeron
      @AbbathHeron ปีที่แล้ว

      they permit 2 land crossings a year and unlimited airport arrivals.

  • @samp3098

    Is it legal to work remotely on a visa upon arrival? Do you need a work permit in addition to it?

    • @joyoushapes
      @joyoushapes  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a tricky question as you can’t get a working permit for a short period (visa upon arrival is 1 month, extendible for another month), so you don’t even get an option. I’d advise you to ask a legal.

    Hi there! We are REALLY enjoying your content and are finding it super helpful 😀 2 quick questions if you have the time: 1) If you get a visa on arrival for let's say Thailand or Bali, and you intend to extend that visa, do you need an exit ticket for the first visa period (1 month for instance), or do they accept that you will renew your visa? So, if we want to stay in Thailand for 60 days, can we have a flight out of Thailand on the 60th day? 2) Was also wondering if a bus ticket out of the country counts as an exit. Or does it always have to be a plane ticket?

    • @joyoushapes
      @joyoushapes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stephan, I'm so happy you like the content and these are great questions!!
      1) You need to have an exit ticket even if you plan on extending your visa (yes, it's a pain!). I'd recommend getting a cheap flight to a nearby country and see if you are still on time to ask for a refund. There are also other sneaky ways to avoid buying tickets, like fake tickets - you can find more resources online and it seems to be working too!
      2) I'm not 100% sure but I think you necessarily need a plane ticket. Flight companies doesn’t consider border crossings by land as proof.
      Are you planning a South East Asia trip anytime soon?

    • @stephanstegeman
      @stephanstegeman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much @@joyoushapes ! So if I'm understanding your answer correctly, if you get a VOA, you need to have a ticket out of the country within 30 days, and one for when you actually leave 30 days after the first 30 days. So two tickets out of the country? That really is weird haha. You'd say you would could extend a visa on arrival 😅 BureauCRAZY hehe. And yeah! We are going to travel the world for the very first time starting september 🤩 Looks like it's going to be mostly Thailand and Bali this time, after watching a lot of (your) videos those two places seem to fit our vibe best 🙂

    • @joyoushapes
      @joyoushapes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stephanstegeman no, you just need 1 flight ticket out of the country (the number 1 and 2 in my previous comments where to answer your 2 questions haha - sorry for the confusion).
      You only need 1 flight out of the country within the first 30 days. BureuCRAZY is my new fav word lool!
      I'm SOOO excited for you guys, I'm sure it's gonna be an amazing adventure! Thailand and Bali are great but if you plan to travel the world I'd def recommend looking into countries like Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines as well.
      South East Asia offers many stunning countries to visit :))

    • @stephanstegeman
      @stephanstegeman ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, created this word specially for you @@joyoushapes! If we only have an extended VOA, we need to leave after two months so we would need two right hehe. But, might have one we can cancel or reschedule for the first 30 days like you said! We'll get the hang of it! And for sure on all the other countries! Might check some of those out too 😍

    Hi I want to ask about the international driving licence . Do you have or do you need to have a specific motorbike licence ? Or does no one check this and just have a car license and show the police this international driver's license and they will let you go 😂

    • @joyoushapes
      @joyoushapes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question!! 😃 You don’t need the specific moto license to drive scooter, you can use your car license, but you mandatorily need to have it converted into international driving license. But I assume that if you want to drive a “big bike” you need to have the proper license for it. Does that clarify?

    • @Explorers__eye
      @Explorers__eye ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joyoushapes oh really? 🙈 Yeah I just need scooter 😊 .. I was already looking at the possibilities of how to make an original Thai driver's license 😂
