- With a few hours spare to go fishing I had a look at the tide times and decided to try a new spot over low. I headed down to Camber Sands in East Sussex to try the river mouth of The River Rother. There were lots of seals around and some good fish action too! I hope you enjoy the video and please subscribe to my channel to catch all the content.

Really enjoying your videos, certainly encouraging me to have another crack at fishing my local Kent sea venues. Looking forward to next adventure.
Quality session ... Great venue... Brilliant camera work 👍👍👍
Thanks👍
Were I fish in the summer we have a residential seal he/she is called sammy it’s great fun fighting with the seal because it takes the mackerel of the hook there was one day the score was 6 all normally sammy gets more lol. Good video
Another enjoyable video, thank you for sharing.
Good video,
Never fished that location. Keep up the good work.👍
Nice session on a new Mark, well done, whiting kept you bussy.
You know what I enjoyed the video Greg keep going mate
Another great video as usual Greg. Shame about the flatties. Looked good for a late season Bass though although I have never fished there myself.
I think the seals are quicker to any bass than me! 😂
Good job buddy, locals to me keep saying about fishing dropping right off now, on West Side of isle of wight, but still pursisting, as haven't seen the weighting like you. Had 11 dogs other night though. Tightlines
Yeah, I'm struggling to find good fishing at the mo but it's good to be out!
Looking forward to you fishing Dymchurch beach. Similar sort of water with deep water drainage outlet
I'm definitely going to do Dymchurch
Thanks for another great video. I suggested to Fish Hunter UK (Rhys), that he try the Warren at Folkestone, as he's absolutely fed-up with catching whiting where he's been fishing. He hasn't acknowledged my comment, so...
You should give it a go. I've been there 40+ times since June, night and day and had 1 (yes, 1) whiting. One night in Summer, I had 6 species, including a nice sole. It was my PB for number of species in one trip. I went last Friday and fished 2 hours before and 1 hour after high tide. I had 2 30cm bass, 2 large pouting and a baby thornback. I would have stayed longer, as I caught 1 pouting and the ray on my last cast, but it was getting dark and I didn't have lights. It was really rough, I had trouble seeing bites, so left my line in probably longer than needed.
You can fish a 2-minute walk from the car on the first plinth, or if you fancy a 1.5 mile walk, you can fish where I go (I take my bike!!). The parking is free.
It has been on my list of venues to do a vid at so I'm might try and get one in over Xmas. I like the Warren and have had some good schoolies fly fishing in the summer
@@gsp - I saw & spoke to a lady fly-fishing on the left-hand end of the first plinth in summer. She caught a few. I had my one & only bass lure fishing with a black minnow that day. If you can get to the far end it's worth it, but boy is it a hike!!
I'm game for a hike!
@@gsp - A hike is what you will get, my friend!! Have you been to The Warren before? If not, you will encounter a length of road where you will see a sign that reads "*arrow left* nowhere" *arrow right* the beach/caravan park". You can go right and park by the caravan park (free - ignore the double yellow lines), or keep left and park further along. One is less walking, but a bit of a hill, the other is a tiny 40 metre hill, but further walking. It's not worth having your first cast until 2 hours before high tide & last cast around 2 hours after. You'll see why - you're casting from the promenade down. Get to "The Pyramid", which is a piece of kind-of-pyramid-shaped cliff-fall, which juts out of the water 60 metres out. Fish just a few yards the Folkestone side of that, so you're still close to rough ground. If you look on Google map, you'll see the U-shaped cliff collapse. I cast just there (and have lost tackle, but not much). You have rough ground and sand just the Folkestone side. I had an 8lb thornback off the sandy section on my second rod during summer. As I said, I caught a baby ray just the other day. Not many people go there because it's so inaccessible. I've seen only 3-4 other groups fish there in over 40 visits. Good luck and I look forward to the video.
Yeah I've been down there a few times and last time I went nearly got flatten by some nutter who was a wanted man and flew down to the gate by the caravan park at about 60mph! Decamped and ran before the police followed 2 mins behind
You always get seals there mate, there come right up to meet you when we’re surfing there. It’s veryyyy shallow there, I can walk out miles even before you can get into deepish water.
Didn't realise they came as close as they did!
@@gsp I used to fish there, an they was a nightmare as they used to keep taking the fish 😱😂😂😂.
Plus omg .....such a long walk 🏃😂👍
Thanks for one more great video, Greg.
Can I ask you what was the Moon like?
I never caught a fish on full moon. Do you thing that it affects?
Thanks in advance.
The moon was 1st quarter when I fished at camber. I do tend to agree that fishing is not great on a full moon
Well done, I bet your feet were frozen.....
They weren't bad at all!
