I think your first pair of batteries is dragging down the jumpers. That was something to watch and you were smart enough not to let the smoke out of the starter too. Xena, the radishes looked great😎

I personally like the wind. It blows the bugs away and I can do things without sweating so much. 70°F is perfect with a 20 mph wind. Those flags all showed at least 20 mph wind. OK, got the beast to run, but gotta get the fuel flooding stopped. Good Job KoO. ben/ michigan
Had to do a google lens search on the flags I've never seen before, why two different flags for Manitoba? One with a red background, the other a blue background. Education is appreciated here. TY! 👍🤠 🇺🇲
The "blue" Manitoba flag is the old Manitoba flag, it ceased to be the official flag in (I think) 1905. Since Joey is the King of Obsolete, I thought it couldn't hurt to send up an obsolete flag with the others. Edit: The other 2 flags are the current Manitoba flag, and the current flag from Onscario, my home province.
I've got an Adams like that with that motor. I've got a manual on that motor if you need it. Didn't really understand your carbeurator setup on that, last scene showed the updraft carb mine has. I'd say your problems are no gas getting to the engine, should have started right up. Might be some moisture in your mag - be sure to cover it sparately from the rest of the engine when it rains/snows. I like these IH gas start engines. FYI the 16 is the 6 cyl equiv of the 10, the 18 is the 6 cyl equiv of the 14
thank you, i have all the manual on line and easy for me to look at on the computer because i can zoom in. my TD-18s and this UD-16 are direct diesel start and we took our time in getting the UD-16 running on its own on diesel. did not want to blow it up thansk

Congratulations, it's alive! It gave you a hard time though, hard enough you had to use a block heater at 20°c ambient? Would glow plugs help? Is there such a thing as glow plugs that could go in place of the spark plugs? I don't know much but enough to stay tuned! 👍🤠
yes took awhile because it had been a long time. glow plugs are pointless on these old motors, just plug them in to warm up the head then a sniff of ether and good to go thansk

Can you use the small electric pump to prime things up then shut it off? And do you have to run straight antifreeze at the end of the world?
the electric pump is to help the old worn out gear pump. we buy the per mixed antifreeze good for -50f below. thansk
What mill does that old military spec rig have in it?
Id love one of them with an ntc 250 cummins. Would be sweet…
it has the 855 cummins that just sips the fuel and starts every time thansk
