They were a great machine 40 years ago. Have many happy memories of my uncle driving one. Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad this popped up, these old hymacs bring back childhood memories of seeing them in the bog and some farms when I was a young boy mad about machinery like all young boys I guess. I see this is a new channel I have subbed I also watch farmer Phil's so this is good to find.
These old diesel engines are amazing, some chance of one of them electric yokes running after being left out for years.
Mighty job , really enjoyed that one lad thanks for sharing
Great vid, can’t wait to see the new paint job 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
You and me both! 😂😂
Of course it'll start its a ford six cylinder engine without addblue and DPF regen crap.
The first excavator i operated on roads and sewers and plotworks.
No quick release buckets in those days and the pins were like bananas.
14 lbs mel hammer and adjustable spanner was a comprehensive tool kit.
Have the same engine in a fordson major. It came out of a hymac too. Great engine
What make of an engine is it, great that it fits in a major, not many majors around these days either.
@@martymartin2894 Engine is a 6 cylinder Ford Dover or more commonly referred to as "D-Series". They came in lots of things from the early 1960s through to the late 70s as Ford sold crate engines to manufactures more back then.
The Ford Cargo truck also came with this engine
Great machine to head for building site
Brilliant stuff
Good man .. ya could jump it with 24v but ya’d want an extra pair of hands.. it flys them over when they have been sitting.. is she going for export 😂 would still do a job with a bit of tidying .. well done 👍
Fair play for sticking with her . The 6.38 is in super condition

Restoration videos nxt
For the record, the earth does not go from the solenoid to the chassis- jump leads dont make good power cables or earth cables.
