I can't believe they left Hawkeye out of all these sets. He would fit in with either the civil war set or the logo set. I would have loved him to be in the logo.

That white spider logo on that shield piece is such a tease for Insomniac sets. Lego is basically saying: “Hey we heard you wanted Insomniac sets, so we are just going to reference it again”.
They just keep teasing us forever 😆 like how they’ll never stop teasing Bionicle fans

I love your channel guys! Great discussions that does not absolutely just glorify Lego, you guys actually criticize when it’s needed, overall I love this years first leaks, both mech sets have amazing figs(AV could have had a little more but still great), venom needs some kind of update, spider woman is good, Spot looks amazing along with Jefferson(Miles dad) but Spider Gwen and Miles kinda feel cheap and underdone, could have definitely benefited from some leg printing or arm printing, Hawkeye being excluded from the logo is such a cop out. I do like the battle scenes or displays, but this should have a little more exclusivity and not 3 minfigs using the exact same pants. But it is the worst set of the leaks. One last thing. Dewpider!!

The Buildable Ant-Man sold by itself and went to Clearance and then shipped wherever unsold unwanted Lego sets go, apparently to be repacked in an overpriced Minifig pack Set that's still missing HAWK EYE!!

The exciting thing about the Spot set is that it has modular holes, probably means we're getting lots of these smaller buildings in the future.
The civil war set is so bad, I think maybe Lego is doing a dlc like No Way Home. Everything is so bad, not just the build: Bucky with wrong hair, bondage torso, NO ARM PRINT, Black Widow remake with no armprint, Spiderman remake with no leg print, Black Panther with no print on the horns(had them last civil war set), Scarlet Witch remake without cloth and pink blasts, Captain America reuse from he Ultron set instead of an Civil War accurate torso. The only actual good figures that don't have better versions are Falcon which is a reuse of the Avengers Tower, and the amazing Mark 46.
The only way I'm getting the set is if they make the dlc with the missing characters, War Machine, Vision, Hawkeye and Antman. It could work cause they have some synergy for sets, Vision shoots War Machine out of the sky and Hawkeye Antman have the combo move. If this is it, I'll probably pick up a Iron Man and that's it. Hopefully they'll be a smaller set with Iron Man so the prints aren't used in only one set. Age of Ultron had a smaller Iron Legion set and Avengers Tower had the Leviathon for a cheaper access to the suit so I'm hopeful.
Sorry for the rant but the Civil War set is probably the most disillusioned I've ever been with Lego.
Oh and the Marvel Logo is cool but not for me, hopefully the ww2 cap and undamaged Mark 6 will be in other sets cause that is definitely cool. Getting closer to completing the new helmet Iron Man suits, especially with the new Hall of Armor

@ bro literally at one point has the opportunity to kill Thor, has brawled with some of the strongest heroes like, black-widow, black panther, vision. Had gotten the jump on a speedster, fought against and alien army and robot legion, with one what if, showing he can hold his own. Bro is doing more than most.

I would get the mechs for the figures. Skipping the muscle car. The Spot set is like a parts pack for a city. I really like all the signs that will fit into a city. I like the Marvel logos look but not thrilled about the price. I'm not sure I will get it. I like other commenters ideas of switching out the figs. All villains would be fun. I will be 100% skipping the Civil War battle set.

I don't get why Lego makes cars for villains but still no Overdrive or Big Wheel.
Sure those characters are more obscure but so is Anti Venom or Julia Carpenter's Spider-Woman. Honestly outside of Spinrette and Gwen Stacy Spider-Women and Spider-Girls are pretty obscure, Marvel has to get around that.

My ONLY issue is that several of these sets have a figure I need. I do not have the civil war Iron Man, the Mark 6 in the logo set, Anti-Venom, and then the entire Spiderverse set is great.
If that’s the case, don’t buy the whole set. Wait a few weeks / months for the minifigure to pop up on BrickLink so you can buy it by itself for much cheaper. That’s what I did for the X Mansion this year since I wanted Gambit & Iceman but didn’t want to buy the whole $300 set.
You guys are such a great duo. I have been a big lego marvel fan since they started making sets. These are just so lazy in quality. No dual mold legs for Spider-Man which they used to do, barely any leg printing, and many of these are cheap imitations of ideas we already got. I love you comment of grey soup on the airport set😄, nail on the head. I was really hoping spot would get arm printing. Fantastic four is sort of my last hope for lego marvel. If they botch that, I’d be really sad.
You’re too nice!! I’m sad you’re disappointed with the sets but it’s understandable.. Very reluctant about the fantastic 4 set 😅😅😅 the MCU sets based on concept art are always hit or miss 😭

I think with the Marvel logo, it might've been a good idea to just decrease the width of the logo instead of a 100$ box with a function for a set that's mainly made to be displayed. It doesn't need to be too wide just to be displayed I think.
For some reason having a full rectangular prism is satisfying to me 😭 but you’re right, it definitely inflates the price..

I don’t mind the logo thing too much actually it’s super iconic, I just think the way the figs jump out look goofy as heck. I think a cool way to do it would be that the marvel logo opens or splits and has the figs in a scene (maybe circled around like the og avengers movie.

Maybe one day when there’s a Symbiote spider man movie. Sometimes that’s what it takes for them to even consider certain characters 😢

Definitely in between cooking and dumpster fire… I’m not huge on venom car and really dislike the marvel logo and civil war set but like spiderverse and the mechs so more so cooking because the highs are higher than lows. its just the pricing isn’t great for spiderverse.
Spiderverse: 6/10 from Lego, 8/10 when discounted by $10, okay value at a push considering the extra head prints, great set but overpriced for what it is, should be 45 dollars at most. The reason why it’s a 6 is because I still like the set but means I just won’t buy from Lego and will wait for retailers to discount it.
Venom car- 5/10- don’t really care for it.
As for the mechs-
Iron man- 9/10
Spider-Man- 7/10
-they’re good mechs in my opinion and I like all the figures. Iron man is just a great set in general, and I think the Spider-Man mech is fun despite not being comic accurate for him to have this.
Civil war airport battle- 2/10- extremely overpriced and just doesn’t interest me, I don’t like any other the figures outside of Ironman and Spider-Man, captain America has no leg printing and the torso print doesn’t make up for this, like it would in sets like the quinjet for me, the black widow uses a hair piece that I think doesn’t work for her, and its weird seeing Lego keep using it for her, its fine on rogue I guess although not accurate. I just really think the build is plain for 100 dollars and that the giant man was unnecessary.
Marvel logo- 1/10- for me this is just a pure ripoff, selling a bland looking logo with no desirable figures like Stan Lee, a comic accurate namor, comic Spider-Man and the human torch would be great but this is inexcusable. Stan Lee made the company what it is and for them to make his logo without that and focus on the movies is just a bit ridiculous. Ditko would also be ideal.

I did get some wording wrong with the marvel logo as it doesn’t look bad to me, just bland. If it was 40 or 50 dollars and just on its own without figures or only with the iron man, I might say its okay, but the figures included aren’t premium except for the iron man for a premium priced product and that is my main criticism there.
And the iron man should probably have dual moulded legs just because it’s marketed as a collectors item. But I get the appeal I just feel you’re not getting the best from Lego considering the market and who the set could be aimed at vs what it is aimed at and the quality of the product, considering this is such an iconic logo, I think they should’ve gone CMF quality with these figures if this is the best roster of characters in terms of what is marketable, the best version of each one should be a guarantee.
For some reason a venom car makes sense to me. Reminds me of the scene in venom 2 where carnage hijacks a car and rides through the city.

The Marvel Logo is good, and could probably designate a Marvel themed shelf, but if I were to get it AND display it with figures, I'd swap em out with their comic book variants. Also, I'm betting
the only minifigures that are realistically going to be exclusive to this set are 2 of the 5, if not 1. They'll reuse the prints for these in a heartbeat, and they didn't even give any of them dual-molded legs. If they hypothetically did have dual-molded legs, perhaps with print, a re-release would most likely preclude those and give us a lower quality fig later, but they didn't, both to save money and also to indicate that these figs are only exclusive temporarily. I say if not 1, because when are they going to re-release those goofy Hulk minifigs? In a Lou Ferrigno Hulk playset? He was probably made as a minifig because the designer was given a cheap budget, perhaps intentionally, as we have seen how resistent the LEGO group is about fans and their big-fig desires (Where's The Thing, The Lizard, Kingpin, etc.) Let's hope the LEGO Bigfig psyop they're pulling comes to an end. 🥱
Also, I entirely agree that it's corporate. It's a Disney schill product because the figures are mostly a gooning sesh over Kevin Feige's Marvel vision. If LEGO wanted it to lean more into the comics, they could have done so. Or maybe Disney just doesn't want as much comic acknowledgement when sets like these are an easy promo for MCU shit.

@@zhenchen7769 Honestly I would've just swapped out each figure to a more comic book look of the Avengers, but you remind me that the Marvel universe is comprised of a bunch of superhero groups (X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, etc.) and a figure to represent each of those would've also been an incredible choice that they for some reason avoided.

Both mechs are instant copps. Definitely getting the venom car and I’m gonna wait for the spider verse set to go on sale. Skipping the marvel logo and might skip the civil war battle. Hoping the iron man car set gets revealed soon.

I like the captain America civil war set because I have no marvel figs and I just like that this has most of the main ones
THIS is literally a good reason they exist. It’s a great entry point for new Marvel collectors, but a tough sell for those who already have a handful of figs.
I'll say that they're cooking with the Minifigures but they are terrible with the sets. That includes the Ultron and lex they both should have their own mecs.
We should have on our mind, kids really like playing with Mechs and cars. My kids play with them all the time, they don't care is it "canon" vehicles or not. They combine arms between them, add things on them, put completely crazy figures in them. They just play and use imagination. On the other hand I like buildings and big ships/vehicles, and like then accurate. However, I enjoy, as well as my kids, to get a new character. So if we get many new characters in some silly mechs, who cares 😂😅.
P.S. Yesterday I found a creation of one of my sons, Zane little mech with Warmachine arms and hose, and a head made from Jay core dragon, driver of the mech was Batman 😂😂😂
Yeah you’re exactly on point. There’s definitely room for the zany out-there sets aimed at kids, and creative display pieces with detailed figs for collectors. Doesn’t seem like they’ve totally found that balance yet.

Well, to be honest with y'all, I love the Iron Man mech chasing ultron because ultron was one of his rivals... along with the mandarin, iron monger, and Thanos. And I love the Spiderman vs. antivenom, too, Spiderman's mech does look like he is from the video game... and anti venom is also a good choice because we can't stop getting venom and carnage... why not riot, scream, or the green symbiote... they keep mistaking the green symbiote with toxin with the other name I forgot... and of course, I am very skeptical about the venom muscle car, but hey, I love the upgrade for Spider Girl... perhaps I can turn her into the black cat if I wanted to... and the rest I am not really interested in at all... and of course, I love the hood on the muscle car. I can use that piece for venomized maximus or something... venomized maximus is a blend between my oc Julius maximus and venom... just ignore it... I just love being ultra creative... I am trying to make ultimate creations that are my dreams... well that's all for now see you soon
I wish Lego would make a mandarin minifigure in the same style as the Iron Man and Ultron minifigs in the new mech. I would even buy iron man sets with iron man villains such as spymaster or living laser.

@ Lego can easily incorporate these villains into the average Lego set. We can get a small $9.99 set where spymaster is robbing a small bank and iron man is trying to stop him. Or we can get the traditional $29.99 spider man vehicle set where we get iron man and living laser with spidey helping out. Or they can start dedicating bigger sets to iron man like a comic book version of the hall of armor with a comic hulk buster, silver centurion, and the mandarin. I’m just saying it’s not that hard to get these guys into the Lego sets.
