Bravi!
I never thought I could be addicted so much on music. I never listened to classical music tho. This is like I cant express how I feel. one may say - wow, this is a masterpiece. wow this is a genius. but this is like more, I can not express it, I just have to be quiet and listen to it. I dont understand how SOMETHING can be so impressive and addictive.
Music is the ultimate healthy and transcendent opioid for the soul. Though paradoxically it may also excite and sharpen and not just dissipate tension like opioids do.
Wow! The technicians should take some credit for producing a near as perfect recording of a near as perfect performance (or maybe the previous recordings I've heard were by less competent technicians with inferior tech?) I'll hear this live for the first time in Cambridge (AAM) on 24th
BRAVO.....BRAVISIMO..!!!
Wow! Beautiful rendering. (Surely all the tempo disagreements are a bit fastidious. It is often what one is used to hearing or the mood of the particular performance. It could get boring if always played the same. I guess Bach himself may have varied it from time to time.). So good, well played!
Yes, and it sounds massive when there are 110 people playing together but anyway the baroque orchestra sounds a lot better. You know, like 100 strings and you can't even hear the woodwinds any more behind that wall.
@@jjf6257 If you can't hear the woodwinds, it means it wasn't well orchestrated. A 110 pieces orchestra has in general 60 strings players (far from a hundred).
really great interpretation, i love the faster tempo, also, if you don't know check jakub burzinsky and the tempesta with the vivaldi works they are fast tempo also and i think its the best interpretation.
I never could dig these 'tempo' comments.. fast/slow... the same piece can be genuinely plyed almost at any tempo. it's not what music is about, it's about breath, feel of harmony and timing... yes perfomance can be for example hasty sometime but it's not because of fast tempo.
Piekne wykonanie! Gratulacje. Grajcie tak dalej. Porownalem je do renomowanych (William Bennett with Neville Marriner) i wasze brzmienie jest nie gorsze. Martyna - dobre prowadzenie. Kto gra na flecie? Wygladacie bardzo dobrze. Jedna sugestia (PR): eliminacja moherowych beretow z pierwszych rzedow.
I feel the opposite way. Often, Bach's polonaises are slowly played and appear as an old-fashioned and formal, even stiff piece of music. This ensemble offers a lively and charming interpretation.
Also ehrlich. Viiiiiel zu schnell. Ganz schlimm 🙉
THIS IS THE 18TH CENTURY PROPORTION OF SOUND VOLUME, UNLIKE THE 19TH CENTURY METAL FLUTE IN MUSIC OF THE ROMANTIC PERIOD. THE FLUTE MUST BE INTEGRATED AND NOT DOMINANT.
This is the most vibrant interpretation of this piece out there. Martyna Pastuszka and her band are truly wonderful!

I love the grace note added by Georges on the flute at 4:36. Never heard that on any other recording of the overture. Heavenly
Honestly my favorite interpretation of this piece!
Bellissima interpretazione.
Grazie.
Such perfect tempi. And such-an underrated dark work. I love that every movement features sad sighing figures and is so melancholic.

Souffle..sehr gut)
Merci !
Plus que parfait

It's interesting how back then a orchestra was max 10 people and now it"s 110
Right? I prefer 10 :)
Probably they didn't have ubers and airplanes back then ^^. Three days and our guys now can tour 4 cities.
At the time, there were already very large orchestra, but it was rare.

it is not just about fast|slow, it is also about continuum, read between the lines

Sonia Meiyi my favorite part
10:37 No doubt this one makes me crazy. The way the notes are in harmony with each other and still surprise you is just divinely beautiful.
I'd never heard that accentuation, don't know if I like it.
@@eduba7393 Sounds like hip hop for a split second
17:21 FUCKING GOD
+Shlomo Shekelstein What if...... Bach is God ! Boom !!!!
+Amazing Infidel I think Cioran had said something in Tears and Saints like: "I know of no-one who owes everything to Bach as much as God does."
💙
Dzięki!

Turn the flute mic up!!!!

Please-someone, tell me who this flutist is!!!
I’m really loving this performance. What a fabulous ensemble.
It's in the video description. Isn't he great?
It is wonderful Georges Barthel!!
Only one thing… I think the Minuet was abit fast.
Other than that it was fine
The badinerie too. Playing it at 75% makes it kinda slow... so at 85%-90% must be perfect.
Well done - but not easy to spoil it!
Terso violi
no Bella!!!
Does anyone have some more information about Adam Pastuszka? The second violin player from left. Thanks
+Martha Ning Yes of course, please just contact oh@orkiestrahistoryczna.pl

Hello
That Polonaise and Double would be better if you didn't exceed the speed limit!
I feel the opposite way. Often, Bach's polonaises are slowly played and appear as an old-fashioned and formal, even stiff piece of music. This ensemble offers a lively and charming interpretation.
Come on, lets be serious about the historic interpretation, but I dont know what is this Ouverture?!?!?!?
Also ehrlich. Viiiiiel zu schnell. Ganz schlimm 🙉
Find ich auch!

orchestra is too loud, flute is too quiet
Super Flute Unfortunately that's how soft they sound on these "authentic" flute reconstructions. Very annoyed by this state of affairs.
THIS IS THE 18TH CENTURY PROPORTION OF SOUND VOLUME, UNLIKE THE 19TH CENTURY METAL FLUTE IN MUSIC OF THE ROMANTIC PERIOD. THE FLUTE MUST BE INTEGRATED AND NOT DOMINANT.
Not sure what you mean, I can hear the flute clearly throughout. This us an orchestral work, its not a flute concerto
Too fast, hard to enjoy!

Karajan version is hopeless, too fast....
in my opinion is too fast, too chaotic, too massy...thousands of keys with no atmosphere
Is this played a bit fast, tempo too fast?
Interpretazione pessima
Horrible the Overture
You're right, the Ouverture it's not a great performance.
Everything else seems to me a decent performance.
G.A.
Maybe just because we are not use to it?
The Badinerie is a bit too fast
For me Badinerie is to slow. It's a Presto in 2/4
Maximilian Rothe , so you are under influence of bad performances, which are mostly too fast
Its not a presto. Nowhere does bach mark it like that.
HORRIBLE!!
Bravo !!
Wow!
