my go to meal at the moment is to basically have fajitas/burritos, but don't have the wraps and make it like a chicken salad with rice. OBSESSED! really low calorie and really filling! loads of lettuce, cucumber, any other salad bits you want, then cook the chicken and peppers on the hob in fajita seasoning, then add rice and VOILA! plus i'm currently running 5k everyday for charity so it's a nice light meal to have after that:)
Btw, intuitive eating isn't just "eat what you want whenever you want". You can roughly plan your meals and focus on a balanced diet and still eat intuitively
I was going to comment the same thing! Intuitive eating is still eating mindfully of how you are fueling your body eg did that meal give me energy? Make me feel satisfied?
Yes! You have to intuitively feel what your body likes and does not like, and what makes you feel energetic and healthy. Eating excess sugar and processed foods whenever you feel like it is definitely not intuitive eating. Gotta have some dicipline too!!
hey taz! i really suggest investing into a slow cooker, they’re really good for people who don’t like cooking (me) because you just throw all the ingredients in the pot in the morning and it cooks throughout the day! i find it always tastes better too, you can make loads of dishes like spagbol, chilli, greek lamb stew with orzo and much more x
food decisions: decades ago, i was vegetarian. All pubs and restaurants had two options: cheese or curry. It was great: you can always answer the question, "Which would you prefer - cheese or curry?"
I loved this video! As a person from America (Texas) I would love for you to find an American nutritional diet and follow that for a week. Also interested in those from other parts of the world.
@@Merle-vz7tg to be honest the diet looks really nice and healthy. You definitely get the recommended amount of veggies every day which is really hard for a lot of people including myself. The healthy fats as avocado, peanut butter, seeds, nut etc. is a good choice 👍🏻 What I like about this, is that it is not a strict diet, because strict diets are not healthy and make you give up easily. It was great to see that there were some digestive cookies with chocolate in this diet because it’s okay to eat sweets and unhealthy calories once in a while, and the most important to remember here is the portion size of course. Whole grain products are so important, because it doesn’t affect the blood sugar so much and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart diseases. I never really used to eat anything whole grain until I started college. I am definitely going to try this diet or try something very similar to it. This is a very balanced diet, which is always recommended for people who wants to start dieting☺️ I hope this comment helped, I never comment on TH-cam so this is so weird for me😂 Have a nice day❤️
@@nataliebitar Thank you so much for responding :) I‘ve been trying to loose weight for quite some time now and because of people that said stuff like „you need to be strict with yourself, don‘t eat any sweets and never have fast food“ I failed all of them after like two weeks. Hearing people say that „screwing up“ from time to time without losing control is okay just feels really good and validating. Because I try my best but a strict diet just doesn‘t work for me..
@@Merle-vz7tg you’re welcomeeee❤️❤️ I really believe in you, and there is absolutely no need for a strict diet. Just start out slowly and then your body will get used to the change and adjust to a new healthy lifestyle❤️ good luck

I just want to say that I'm impressed by the progress of your cooking skills Taz!! Half a year ago it sometimes hurt to watch you cook (it was also fun and very natural to have to gain some experience, we've all been there..), but these dishes all looked very good! Great job Taz, just keep cooking, trying new recipes and as you'll learn more cooking skills you will probably start to like it more :)
Love the video Taz! Try home made pizza. Using a tortilla, Passata & a little tomato paste, you can add garlic purée and then whatever toppings you want, 10/15 minutes in the oven x very healthy x
I would recommend Hello Fresh to you. You have different recipes you pick from each week, you decide how many days you want each week and if you want extra meals. You can decide to pauze if you want to skip a week or several. The food gets delivered to your door, everything is in the box (not salt, pepper, oil and such). The recipes are in the box and you can keep them if you like them want to re-create them later. And it's also not super expensive! (at least not here in Netherlands, a bit more expensive than buying it in the store yourself but for us the difference is not huge. Cost about 56 euros for each week, 5 dishes for 2 people + toddler) It is a super handy service!
Finally!!! an influencer that do the job on positively influence eating choices. As a dietitian I support what you are doing Taz. Besides it was pretty interesting to hear your honest true comments in terms of food choices. This definitely gives an insight in terms of nutritional plans. Kudos! I'm from Mexico and there are not nutritional plans as there are in the UK, the guidance is set mainly in following the "eat well plate" which works as a traffic light. Green for vegetables and fruits; Yellow for cereals; and Red for pulses and animal food products. Mainly that is because diets in a way need to fit into the individuals' needs. Hence, they are usually customised. However, in the US I believe you can find the guidance in the USDA food and nutrition services. They also have myplate and I believe you can find recipes there.
I ADORE when the welshy comes out it you. I grew up in Newport and don't live there anymore and it just gives me a lil serotonin boost so ty ty and much love xxx

It's supposed to be served hot with sugar and cinnamon, and a teaspoon of butter on top. Healthy it is not, but so delicious. Seach "Risengrød" = rice putting in danish
Hello fellow Dane! :) To be fair, I think anything that comes out of a can is not going to be very good quality. It is *definetely* better when made from scratch!
✨MEAL IDEAS✨ • Curry Zucchini with rice : Cook 1/2 onion and 2 zucchini in a pan, ad curry and garlic spices, 1/2 vegetable broth cube, ad 1/2 cup of water and when water starts to evaporate, ad cream. Let it cook 2 more minutes and it’s ready! • Squash soup : Cook oignon, squash and any other vegetable you like in a pot, cook it a little bit, then cover it with water, ad vegetable broth cubes, cook until vegetables are soft (with a cover), mix, and you can ad cream to make it fancy ! • Vegetarian Couscous • Tomato gnocchis with vegetables on the side : cook 1 onion, garlic cloves in olive oil, then ad basil, salt, pepper, and ad a roasted tomatoes can, you can also ad 1/2 beef stock cube, let it cook for 15min. Then mix it, ad gnocchis in the sauce and let them cook in it, ad Parmesan and it’s ready!
I started shaking my head the minute you held up the can of rice pudding. Where I grew up in the States it's basically rice cooked in that four-letter word - milk - with sugar and cinnamon and a few other spices in that family. You really have to like creamy milk-based food to like that. Plus, out of a can I doubt I'd even like it and I love rice pudding.
Would love to see the meal plans for the us and other places. Sounds like a fun time! Here for it. Glad to see you appear on the subscriptions again! Positive Vibrations 🤖✌🖤
Where I am from, rice pudding is like one of the most popular desserts/ snacks ever , we eat it very often and they sell them like little yoghurts. So I was very surprised to see it in a can.😂
It is recommended that you have a varied diet as the body needs a lot of things to sustain itself, including; fat, carbs, protein, vitamins and minerals and other micro nutrients. It really doesn't matter which country you are in or what you eat so long as you mix it up and try to get fresh produce. The problem we have in the UK is that 1) we eat too much, 2) there are too many prepared food choices for convenience, 3) Prepared meals contain too much fat, sugar and salt - they are not balanced and they are expensive for what you get. Exercise plays only a minor role in loosing weight but is vital for cardio-vascular health, proper function of vital organs, digestion, blood pressure and mood.
Make them from different countries as a series like your color food videos!!! That would be super interesting! Thank you for all your videos that cheer me up when I have hit new lows :)
That rice pudding looked nasty, but the ambrosia one isn’t good. Personally the blue plain muller rice pudding and the red strawberry packs are my favourite. There not mushy and gross and they taste great cold or hot.
Have you ever been tested for ADHD? I haven't watched all your videos, but in those I've seen, many of your comments really resonated (executive function difficulties in this one). May I recommend that you top the peanut butter toast with sliced tomato and freshly ground black pepper and salt? The juiciness of the tomato counteracts the claggy stickiness of the peanut butter. Peanut butter toast also works well topped with sliced banana and salt.
Controversial peanut butter tip! I’ve always buttered my toast before putting the peanut butter on, and then I spread honey on top of it. Makes it so much less sticky and way more delicious!
My family has peanut butter as part of our genetics lol. My grandpa taught me peanut butter with butter. I love the texture! People think I'm nuts though haha
Taz just keeps surprising us with bog standard foods that she's never actually tried: dark chocolate, rice pudding, apple juice. Next week: Taz tries toast for the first time. 😂😂😂
@@GraceCleo peanut butter is kinda popular here now but it wasn’t always. I first tried peanut butter when I was like 10, I don’t think it’s a common thing to give ur kids it’s more of a health thing that people have on toast

I would love to see you try the American diet plan 😁 watching you try different ones from around the world would be really interesting 👍 love your channel Taz, I look forward to whatever you put out next 😊❤
I related to this video so much! My family didn't have much of a culture around food or cooking when I was growing up. We ate a lot of frozen or boxed meals. It's taken me nearly a whole decade of being an adult to start understanding how to enjoy cooking as a hobby and a mindfulness activity and also to appreciate how much better real food tastes and how much better I feel when I'm not just eating 70% chemicals. Quarantine has actually been great for exploring cooking new foods as well because I just have so much more time at home. Since you asked for recommendations, I do have a few! Other people have probably already mentioned them, but I will admit that did not go read all 1,300 comments before boldly sharing my own opinion, so I shall tell you nonetheless. 1. Since you like having the menu already picked out for you, you might like one of those services that sends you pre-prepared meals ready to cook, like Hello Fresh. 2. I would 100% recommend the Instant Pot if you want to cook at home more but also be lazy. It's about $70 USD but TOTALLY worth it. You seriously just chop the stuff up, dump it in here, hit a button, and your food is done and fantastic in about 20 min without you having to stand over it and cook it. I use mine all the time, and I love it. It's especially great for stews, curries, meat that you would usually slow cook, things like that. Thanks for sharing this video! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I would love to see videos of you eating the recommended weekly diets from different countries. I hope you have a great week :)

the way non-german/-swiss people pronounce the word ‘müesli’ is absolutely hilarious to me, a swiss person
Wait how are you supposed to pronounce it? (From a non-German/-swiss person)
@@kiwi-yu2ku it’s hard to explain because there’s this thing called ‘Umlaut’, which is basically ‘ä, ö, ü’. ‘muesli’ in its original form is actually ‘müesli’. you’d have to look up how to pronounce it because there’s no way to explain it without hearing it.
we Turkish people also pronounce it as you do, because we also have umlauts like ü and ö!

Btw, intuitive eating isn't just "eat what you want whenever you want". You can roughly plan your meals and focus on a balanced diet and still eat intuitively
Waiting until you're starving before you eat is also definitely not eating intuitively !

So what do you think about this recommended diet?
This is a very balanced diet, which is always recommended for people who wants to start dieting☺️ I hope this comment helped, I never comment on TH-cam so this is so weird for me😂
Have a nice day❤️
@@nataliebitar Thank you so much for responding :) I‘ve been trying to loose weight for quite some time now and because of people that said stuff like „you need to be strict with yourself, don‘t eat any sweets and never have fast food“ I failed all of them after like two weeks.

Remember when Taz couldn’t cook?

Finally!!! an influencer that do the job on positively influence eating choices.
Bran flakes have been my favorite cereal since I was about 10 :( I feel targeted.

Optional- to break rice cake on top (trust me)
2.pesto pasta (goes well with salmon)-
Chickpea pasta+regular pasta (half and half)

Sun dried tomatoes
Cherry tomatoes
Green beans+ garlic

The one in the tin is just not nice at all it's overly sweet.

✨MEAL IDEAS✨
• Curry Zucchini with rice : Cook 1/2 onion and 2 zucchini in a pan, ad curry and garlic spices, 1/2 vegetable broth cube, ad 1/2 cup of water and when water starts to evaporate, ad cream.
• Vegetarian Couscous
• Tomato gnocchis with vegetables on the side : cook 1 onion, garlic cloves in olive oil, then ad basil, salt, pepper, and ad a roasted tomatoes can, you can also ad 1/2 beef stock cube, let it cook for 15min.
So I was very surprised to see it in a can.😂
Ok but can we take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous Taz is ❤️
It is recommended that you have a varied diet as the body needs a lot of things to sustain itself, including; fat, carbs, protein, vitamins and minerals and other micro nutrients.
