yea even im contemplating buying either 1 or a pair; even though they are discontinued. I think its a great controller and i know stems failed but this can still be used for everything else required while Djin, so don't know why they dint upgrade to a MK2 version and instead just discontinued it. I know i need to buy it soon as even finding used ones are getting rare. After buying it, did u have any problem with the drivers, native access or while setting it up ? or u got full support and its working n integrated well into your setup ?? Thanks
i think they discontinued it partially cause of stems failure but primarily because they gave u everything in one D2 controller as it can control all 4 decks and from a profit point of view that is not good if all a dj would require is 1 small controller with no add on etc...just my Personal opinion as nothing else makes sense as to why they would discontinue such an efficient controller. It must have also effected the sales of the S8/S5; the S5 must have also effected sales of S8 and thus that too was D.C

@@nikispaintingsilence3287 If playing out especially in a club, most djs would prefer using a much better external mixer then the internal mixer of the S8; such as combo of Xone 96 and 2 D2's. That way integration with CDJs & T.T is more fluid n easier. Plus OG + Serious DJs feel jus mixing on S8 looks sorta childish and like a toy...thus to be taken more seriously (or perception of) & to bang out the amazing sound of the DJM/Xone opposed to internal mixer of S8 etc, they would opt for the combo setup...just my personal opinion. However just for bedroom purposes, the S8 would make more sense, therefore it all depends on what other modes of mixing does one use and thus incorporate into their setup....convenience & option of less fuckups with better sound always wins.
Main function i use on my kontrol x1 mk1 is the beat jump function. Does the D2 allow me to beat jump? And can i use buttons to speed adjust my track with the other sometimes Just one click on my x1 mk1 does magic in the long mixes i do. So yeah pretty simple stuff i use my x1 mk1 but unfortunately it does not work with my New macbook air m1 16gb.

Like Does It Control The Play Pause Button Of Deck A And Deck B At The Same Point Of Time While Music Is Playing.For An Example If Am Playing A Track In Deck A At The Same Time I Want To Play The Next Track In Deck B Will It Work With One D2 As There Are 4 Decks Control.Also Is Sound Card Needed To Connect Those D2 and A Mixer With Laptop??!!
