In 1993, I was in Chicago on holiday from the UK. I wandered all around the city centre until found the location where the Bluesmobile finally disintegrates. That moment alone was worth the long flight!

Awesome work my friend. I grew up on the Southeast Side of Chicago when they were filming The Blues Brothers. Me and my friends snuck on the set when they were filming jumping the bridge on 95th street. We lived right around the corner. Also got to meet them. Very memorable time of my life. Very very very good work.

EVERY PERSON in the world over 10 years of age has seen this movie....and I STILL LOVE IT SO! Seriously, you can walk into a room of strangers and say "It's 106 miles to Chicago..." and the room would finish that riff!

I was once in chicago . I travelled to that city specially to feel myself in the Blues Brothers world. I've been in Richard Daley center, also in the same streets (where all the police cars crash) and finally I went to the house of Blues (see BB 2000). It's too much for someone from Uruguay, South America.

I too grew up in southeast Chicago when they were filming this movie. As a matter of fact the Blues Mobile was on display at the theater (River Oaks) where I saw the movie on opening night. My friends and I saw them filming at the bridge, the church and the hair salon, this brings back so many memories!

The drove on the sand at Jack's beach with that megaphone on the roof, bit northwest of Chicago, I was only 8 when we saw them doing the daley plaza scenes while on a downtown school field trip, Teacher actually stopped the bus and we all got off to watch it.

Really cool seeing all the filming locations! Funny side note on how they were able to practically destroy Daley plaza - Mayor Daley for years had never allowed filming in Chicago, but when mayor Jane Byrne stepped in she created an office to oversee and allow filming. This was the first movie that they approved and in order to send the message to Hollywood that Chicago was open to the filming business she instructed that office to allow whatever they wanted - police, national guard, whatever. John Landis took advantage of that and asked for things he knew they would never approve (like driving through the windows of the Daley building or the 100 mph chase on Lower Wacker Blvd), only to be surprised when they approved everything.

This is just too funny because after 40 years ago it's still one of the best movies I've ever seen and can watch it over and over. The scene when they blow through the light that was in Park Ridge Illinois because my sister & I drove through the same intersection & I pointed it out to her and she thought it was pretty interesting and I said that it's from watching the movie and recognizing stuff you wouldn't normally pay attention to

Fantastic job, really enjoyed it. Must have taken forever. Totally one of those projects somebody could have started and never finished 100 times over. It's kind of depressing however, seeing as how I don't think of myself as being all that old, but I remember the movie coming out, and in hardly one scene is anything close to the same. Time flies, that is absolutely for sure.

You just can't imagine how influential this movie was in my hometown Belgrade, former Yugoslavia at that time. I'm not talking about jokes, as funny as they are. This movie defined me and my generations taste in music, period.
