      @@davidp3051 Yeah, no point in discussing "what is stealing in the context of art" in a TH-cam comment section, but for what it's worth this video in the "style" of Wes Anderson is part of a larger trend that he has come out against publicly.
      On the other hand, maybe I'm the fool and this trend is all part of a larger scheme to promote his new film Asteroid City, which comes to a theater near you on June 22, 2023.

      NHL Hockey for PC (technically NHL '94) was mindblowingly good, and for a little kid just learning about what hockey was, this game actually made me understand the rules of hockey... having never played a real game of ice hockey.
      It was great playing with my cousins and trying play what we thought the Stanley Cup Finals should have been: Leafs vs Habs. My cousins, who recently immigrated from the Philippines, kept choosing the Habs, because that their first views of hockey were the Habs winning the Stanley Cup over Wayne Gretzky (who was so renowned that even Filipinos knew who he was...)
      It was around this time that the original ice rink at SM Megamall was built because of the growth of the NHL- albeit built around a load bearing pillar at center ice... As a Canadian-born Filipino, I was like, wtf???... they eventually built a new rink, and got it right, and there are more ice rinks now, an NHL/NBA standard arena, and now even a national team. All thanks to the growth of the NHL in this era.

    As someone who personally witnessed about 20% of Teemu's goals in that inimitable rookie season, I don't think we can overstate just how massive an accomplishment this was. Sure, he was not a young rookie; starting his rookie campaign at 22 years-old, Selanne spent 4 full years post-NHL-draft playing for Jokerit in the SM-Liiga. But he qualified as a rookie nonetheless, and I am almost 100% sure that _we will never see another 76 goal season for a rookie in the NHL_ (barring significant rule changes). Only THREE people, in the HISTORY OF THE NHL, have scored more than 76 goals in a season - Wayne Gretzky twice (1981-82 - 92 goals; 1983-84 - 87 goals), Brett Hull (1990-91 - 86 goals), Mario Lemieux (1988-89 - 85 goals). This is an absurd total for a rookie to score. Perhaps Michkov will have a shot at this title in 2026-27 when he completes his first NHL season with whichever team drafts him, but 76 goals is a massive ask, and I think it's beyond even him.

    Although there were a crazy amount of high scorers, and guys having career years, The average goals scored per game (3.63) wasn't as high as as any of the seasons during the 1980s, without 81-82 being the highest (4.01). .
    Of course the 84 game schedule enabled players to rack up more points, But not necessarily why there were so many 100 point + players.
    For example in 81-82 despite being a significantly higher scoring year, there were "only" twelve 100 point + players, and even projecting those statistics over 84 games wouldn't yield 20 players with more than 100 points

    That season was one of the best. I was a habs fan then and I was just starting high school. I wore my habs jersey to school at least twice a week.😂 I also collected newspaper clippings from that year for a sports scrap book that I still have. I have all the highlights from this video in original print. Little did I know that 92/93 would be a legendary season.👍🏻

    LMAO Leaf fans are so delusional.
    1) Incidental contact on a shot follow through isn’t a penalty. There’s a video on TH-cam explaining the call.
    2) Why are you so positive the Leafs were guaranteed to win Game 6 anyways? That’s not how sports work.
    3) The Leafs had home ice advantage in Game 7 and should have won it if they were truly the better team. Instead, they choked.
    4) You can all stop saying Habs fans are “living the past” when we talk about our last Cup if you can’t stop bringing up a play from literally the same year. Sorry you can’t stand the fact that your Cup drought is twice as long.

    • @miggslor9985
      @miggslor9985 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasnt the follow-through. Kerry Fraser has been interviewed on multiple occasions and he said himself that was the biggest missed call of his career. Not sure how that makes Leafs fans dillusional. Gretzky himself scored a few minutes later and the Leafs were up 3-2 in the series. If this had happened to any other team, you wouldn't even bother commenting about it.

      Dead puck era started in the 1997-98 season. It wasn’t just a “boom” no more goals. It was gradual. Goal scoring was slowly going down throughout the 90s and by the late 90s/early 2000s was at unforeseen low levels.
      We are currently heading back into a live puck era and have been for a few seasons now. It’s not 80s like, but it’s a lot like the early to mid 90s now.
