Thanks for posting a vid of a live performance. I miss the large assortment that WMG had pulled when they created the professional videos - the concert recordings convey so much more of who and what GBS are!
I love your band you do good job on the night patty Murphy died my favourite song thank you for my song you do wonderful job buddy kept old good work buddy
Saw this wonderful band twice, once in Ottawa in nosebleed seats but again at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont where, with beer in hand and with best friends, in the front row danced my ARSS off all night! Lead singer spittle spray on face was just one of those hazards I had to endure. The beer helped!
The majority of Canadians are not Irish descended. About half the population of Newfoundland is Irish, though. Nova Scotia has a fair smattering of Irish, though it is largely Scottish.
@@alexkilgour1328 half irish, the rest scottish, english etc. Proud Haligonian, saw Great Big Sea at the lower Deck! And at the concert on the hill ! Love these guys !: miss live concerts !

@@이이-n4z8y Great Big Sea was an amazing band, and people do not "not want to acknowledge that this band exists". They are quite well known in Canada, and within the Irish/Newfoundland music genre, globally. They've played with the Chieftains, which is a big thing if you know Irish music. Alan Doyle (the lead singer) has recorded with Russell Crowe and was in the Robinhood movie with him.
Damn Bob killed it!!! Well done! Best concert I've ever been to!!!😊
LUV this band!!Too bad they had to break up
I love this

Meet Newfoundland.
What?
Not Canadians, Newfoundlanders.
It's a diatonic accordion. Also known as a melodeon. Each button makes 2 different notes depending if you push or pull. Hope that helps :)
sounds like you may be a Newfie :)
Just noticed Bob plays the accordion left handed... but he plays fiddle, mandolin etc right handed. Interesting!

What kind of accordion is that?
When did Patty Murphy pass on?
Brill
The worst ever
This is hands down the worst version of this song. It makes men and women not want to acknowledge that this band exists.
That has to be one of the most ignorant comments that I've heard. Do you even know who they are?
@@alexkilgour1328 Do you not understand what you wrote? Do you not understand what I wrote? Clearly it's a bo to both.
