Best band that ever was. My daughter was married to Sea of No Cares and my husband was buried to River Driver. Their music is forever entwined in my life.
Coffs Harbour NSW Australia resident here. Russell Crowe had major property here. Intersting reading the Crowe comments. He did some good work here including donating a swimming pool to a local public school (Nana Glenn). Can't comment otherwise as to character- dont know him personally. BeautIful nere in Oz. Thanks Republic of Doyle leading me to the shore of GBS. (COVID 2020)
They need to get back together and put out a new album and tour again. This video doesn't even come close to how amazing they are in concert. Nobody puts on a show like them except maybe the Stones, in my opinion and experience.
I would love that too, but we as fans must remember that bands are like families. Sometimes they need to go their separate ways no matter how much it hurts, sometimes it is just time to say "Goodbye." Goodbye lads, know that your music is appreciated and your fans wish you well, wherever the tides have taken you.
Been a fan since my wife introduced them to me. She found a radio station that played their tunes and once I heard them I was hooked. Got to see them once at St Andrews Hall. Great show.
Love this, thank you for posting. Listen in my car now all the time & while I'm working. I'd go to that XX concert again in a heartbeat. I would have found a few more shows to go to if I knew it would be the last time.
I'm trying to figure out who the guest vocalist and whistler on Old Black Rum were. Great video, great performance, but that tin whistle solo was absolutely incredible.
@@achtungwinks6096 Yeah, he has one of those singing voices that's instantly recognizable. Just like when I first heard a specific version of My Son John, I thought I was crazy for thinking "Is that John C. Reilly?!?" Yes, yes it is.
It looks like Sean really isn't feeling it here. Which would be understandable knowing now everything the band went through during that time. I hope the boys are doing well.
@@TristanandIsolt wrong. GBS hasn't played a show since 2013. Alan Doyle started his own project and plays alot of GBS songs, which is what you might be thinking about.
Sean still plays some of the drinking songs during his solo shows. Although he has stated that he didn't play them for a while after leaving Great Big Sea.
Alan Doyle was a great guy...til he started hanging with Russel Crowe , a bad rabble rowser if there ever was one. Too much drinking, fighting and just bad attitude. I hope Alan got away from that and got his act together. He trashed Sean for drugs and alcohol, not knowing Sean's past being sexually abused.
Comon boys, suck it up. You can do it all again. 😊
Great Big Sea is bloody next level!
That's high praise coming from a great group like WOTH!
Didn't expect to see you here

I'm sorry for the loss of your husband. This small anecdote of your life gave me goosebumps; thank you for sharing it.
Great Big Sea.. Thank for changing my life ❤️ Big love from Québec, Canada 🇨🇦🤟
Murray Foster gives those chords that solid bass bottom voice notes!
TIME FOR A COMEBACK tour STARTING WITH THE WINNIPEG FOLKFEST 2024 please and THANK YOU AMBER RHUM ROCKS
I have enjoyed their music for many years. I have danced to their music in Vancouver B.C on West coast!

Allans writing book and doing acting gigs, married.has son
Sean same, wrote book and making several albums since. Married and 2 sons. All is well.
I seen this show 2 time , I had a great time. I wish great big sea was still together
The best concert I ever saw was by Great Big Sea and I’ve seen Bruce Springsteen three times.
Thanks for the music!
I remember when they came to the halifax Commons you could hear their voices across all of downtown halifax.
Been a fan since my wife introduced them to me. She found a radio station that played their tunes and once I heard them I was hooked. Got to see them once at St Andrews Hall. Great show.
So friggin good....
What a golden find! I'm a fan down on Long Island. Had pleasure of seeing the boys a few times and absolutely love their music and spirit.
We're happy you found it!
Watching during pandemic! Live music for us now.
Big fan. I saw them once live at the Avalon Theater in Easton, Maryland....fantastic show! Its a real shame that they are no longer together.
Such an amazing concert so glad I was able to be there.
very good so they are

Magnífico concierto!, tiene años que escucho a GBS, sin embargo no había encontrado un concierto tan completo, en hora buena!, saludos desde México ;)
My friend Chris enjoys their music too!
Hey! I was there!
Awsome. Thx for sharing.
If Russell Crowe and Scott Stapp had a baby, I'd still be proud to be Canadian!!
Russel Crowe is a trouble maker. Bad attitude, difficult to work with, always fighting with someone.
Allan Doyle is coming to Massey Hall , Toronto, March 9th!
Fantastic!
Nice
they were the first concert i ever went to 😭
I have seen GBS many times. I was saddened when Sean left but I understand why.
I'm trying to figure out who the guest vocalist and whistler on Old Black Rum were. Great video, great performance, but that tin whistle solo was absolutely incredible.
John Mann from Spirit Of the West is the singer. Unfortunately he has early onset Alzheimers and is retiring from the Band.
I was there live and I love seeing both Great Big Sea and Spirit of the West. I lost it when John and Geoffrey came out to sing.
I was wondering the same. Thanks.
I think he has died since !
Is this full show available anywhere? Fantastic stuff!
The sounds I remember .

Thanks for letting me know! I thought that guys singing was familiar...!

Why are adverts coming on in the middle of songs for? Wrecks the concert.
Not buying any of those products!

Is Sean doing OK?
Could you please explain, if possible...
Trust it's not regarding his health?
With Sean being a recovering alcoholic I wonder what it's like for him to be singing the drinking songs.
Sean is no longer with the band.
@@davequinn5735 yeah I know that. I think they have done a reunion or two with him though or is that wrong?

@@michaeltweezer7403 Thanks for that Michael. I really appreciate Sean as a musician and I hope he's healthy and stays that way.

Does anyone know the female vocalist on barque one the harbour is I’ve been trying to figure out for a year
A bit late to reply - apologies. I believe the female vocalist is Liz Pickard.
