We were also born in Nairobi Kenya 50s & 60s to our parents Kartar Singh hotel WALA, namely Bombay hotel first and Modern restaurant and bar in 40s and 50s on River road, Nairobi. After 60s till 73 we had fruit and vegetables shop, River road few doors away from Sardara Singh Voras bicycle shop. They were personal friends with our family, close friends with our dad as we were only young but remember everything clearly like the day they bought their first hotel Ambassador. He was very great person of the era pioneers. Remember what he done to start the first expansion of Makindu Gurdwara and our father Kartar Singh was involved and all the pioneers, businessmen at the time. He will always be remembered by us. Great inspiration for us all. WAHAGURU kirpa karan sab ta ji 🙏🚩🙏

Amazing story of a successful pioneer Sikh family of Kenya. The message in the interview is: family unity--to achieve success. Thanks.

In 2016 I was walking in River Road and you still see Sardar Singh Vohra's cycle shop. Great pioneering family. .

Very sad that five members of Mohinder Singh Vohra, including himself ,perished in tragic road accidents within a year.
