For those willing to rent cars, these are the standard rates for renting car across goa...i rented out a swift (2020) model yesterday for 1500/day. there's no discount that this particular person is offering to ppl.
2020 Model vs 2023 Model there is a difference. But yes they are standard rates but if people take for longer it's even cheaper!
5 years ago I booked a self driven car from Goa and went upto Murudeswar in Karnataka, it seems, now they do not allow to take cars outside Goa.

Any suggestions
Make sure to always record the full call and mention each and every scratch in the video at the time of taking the car. Make sure to check underneath as well and take video with flash. I’ve mentioned this In the video

Some more clarity required:
1. Is there any deposit money?
2. What if the car gets scratched? Any penalty/ fine?
3. What if the fuel is not consumed as expected? For example I fill ₹3000 diesel and I consume only ₹1000 worth fuel and I want to return the vehicle.

Hi, yes they take a deposit of 5000. While returning the vehicle if there is no dent they will return you the 5000. For small scratches they do not charge. They are very professional and at the same time very helpful.
Deposit for small cars is 3000
Deposit for big cars is 5000
If scratched whatever the repair cost.
Extra fuel ⛽️ they can’t do anything about it. Better to put as much as you require.

Because of the size of the roads and seasonal traffic, get yourself a high end model, preferably automatic - of any hatch back (Maruti-Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia)…

This is the first I've heard of the 9 AM to 9 AM rule among all self-drive car rental car companies. Either its exclusive to him or some bs.

@@MosesJSaldanha This blatant generalization is simply a misrepresentation of facts. Ever tried Zoom, Lime Car Rentals etc? Even the local car rental company based out of Candolim that I'd hired during my last trip didn't come up with such an arbitrary rule.
It makes absolutely no sense for someone to be forced to pay for a whole extra day when they didn't even have the car in their possession. Advertising instead of criticizing such bizarre rules is precisely how you ruin the system for everyone else.
@@numairahmed5993 Well this is how things work here and you don’t pay for the full day you pay an amount per hour as agreed when taking the car. I’m not trying to argue with you just telling you how it works now. Most of the rentals have adopted this system even when I went to south goa and got a bike it was the same

For instance, if I was to book+receive the car at 17:00, would I not be forced to pay for the 6 hours prior? The simple solution would be to either charge an hourly rate or if you choose to have a flat daily rate then the "daily" ought to be calculated as 24 hours from pickup.
Car rental companies have existed for ages and I see no logic in creating an arbitrary rule that is quite frankly designed to scam tourists. I for one, hope that more of the app based rental services show up in Goa, allowing for a more fluid experience whilst putting an end to such and the likes of such scams.
I acknowledge the fact that this isn't a rule that you devised and you're merely informing us of the collective arbitrary rule enforced by car rental companies.
