I would add if you have folding mirrors fold them in first . When the kayak does slip and fall it will take your mirror with it . A car mirror is from $ 100 to $800 depending on what you drive . I was lucky it was an older Ford truck and was able to find one at a wrecking yard for $65 . And for my 2024 Outback that mirrors do everything you can imagine , , , I don't even want to guess what that would cost .
When my kayak sliced the passenger side mirror off my Honda Pilot, the replacement mirror cost me just under $500. Thanks to TH-cam I was able to replace it myself, saving about $1200 labor cost that the dealer quoted.
Jun, you need 2 pieces of rugs. One on the roof of the car and the other on the floor. So you won't scratch your car or the kayak. See you out on the water.
Jun!!! It was so nice meeting you at the Fisherman's Life Fair last weekend! Thanks for helping me troubleshoot my AP 120 problems with Adam and Nick. You are all awesome!
Hardest part for me is keeping the stern from slipping out when I lift the bow to put on the rack. I mostly solved that with a line from the truck to the stern thelinekeeps thestern in place.
Thank you for a great and informative video! Can you tell me are those Thule DockGrip 895 that you have on your Roof bar? If so, I was wondering how are they holding up since their maximum load capacity is 85lb? I have to make a trip of around 4-5h on highway doing 80 mi/h with Feelfree Dorado V2 on the roof and it is 124lbs... Thank you in advance!
If you drive a honda, the honda oem rack is just like this design but a little better with quick release and overall better design. They include all the straps as well.
2017 .. 1st Kayak .. 2017 Hobie Mirage Tandem .. Chevy Colorado .. within 15 minutes , on the boat lines out .. Now Jeep Wrangler 30 minutes to lines out ..not bad for a 60 + old guy
Everybody is different. What your capabilities are is not the same as somebody else so nobody can answer that question for you. But in general always go with a partner, start out with waves less than 4ft every 12 seconds and see what your tolerance level is. Join NCKA to hook up with others so you are never alone.
Clean and press brah! With all that fish protein you should be getting some gains. Get SWOLE! LOL! Love your vids dude. Always look forward to it...even if it takes a while!
Hey Kuya! I have a old town predator pdl thats heavy too, putting it on top of my 4runner was rough till i got a Rhino Rack T Loader. Check it out kuya!
Same here.. I went with harbor freight trailer in the end. Cause carrying this thing after the day on the water was getting tougher.. specially on days u get skunked🤣
Aw man, you are scratching the crap out of the roof of your nice car. Maybe you should drape a towel or maybe a bathroom rug to minimize the damage? Love your videos!
I tried to roof rack a autopilot 136 yesterday. There are not enough words to describe how much of a nightmare that is. You 100 percent need a trailer for these.
Are you just sliding that Kayak on the top of your roof? Your going to scratch the paint and the salt water will start to rust your roof in no time. Put down heavy sheet plastic or try towel
Hey Jun good stuff as always. Hey man I noticed on the Hali Berry you lost with the broken line you set the hook pretty hard. With all the deckhands, friends ect I have fished with, I’ve always been told with the patties, you shouldn’t set the hook. I’ve always heard it’s best to reel in a few times before lifting rod up out of holder and that sets the hook and then you just continue to reel in without any forced hook set. Just wanted to share what I’ve learned in all my years. Keep up the great videos.
You’re giving away measuring tape, why not secure/attach one in your kayak, to be sure the size limit is determined, before releasing the caught fish. Ingat lagi, marami kang kids at batang-bata pa sila, they need you in their growing up to be like you and your understanding wife. Good father model, kasi nag aalaga ng mga kids pag busy si Wifey.

I have an Autobody shop, bring your SUV once the scracthes on the roof get too bad, I’ll hook you up Jun 🤟🏼
wait, he doesn't use a rug or anything on the roof? O_o
😂😂😂
@@josephsaeteurn9158 nope, he doesn’t haha. A simple solution that could save $$$
Bro what should I use after I sand rust off or after I sand full car and it’s jus metal
what does the edge of your car roof look like after doing this a few times? scratched up?
My thoughts exactly, guarantee it is scratched up.
3:03 ahhaha That's my Hewescraft in the background. I saw you filming, but haven't come across your page til today.
Yes you need a couple of rugs to protect the roof top and your kayak.Good job getting on the rack though.
Yeah man!! I needed a video like this. I just got my first Kayak and I'm trying to learn all I can before I go out.
Good video. Its al about technique when loading kayaks. Lots of fun. Need to get you on the boat with us

I put my strap on the ends of the bars to keep the kayak from sliding on the vehicle. The kayak will slide on the straps and save your paint.
Nice video thanks. What kind of saddle are you using? If you happy with it can you share the model or link? Also roof rack. Thanks!

Awesome video Jun! Love seeing these type of “behind the scenes” videos clips then straight to fishing.
Question for you. How do you get it from the car to the water. Do you have some wheels that you put it on to get it to and from the water?
Nice wide Kayak with all your amenities fitting in, except for a measuring scale, you have probably released a keeper
can you share a link to that roof rack (looks nice with the curve corners to hug the kayak)?
If you drive a honda, the honda oem rack is just like this design but a little better with quick release and overall better design. They include all the straps as well.
I applaud you Jun. From an Outback owner cartopping on a civic lol
We saw you launched that day!
Great ! May I ask which brand is the cross bar ?
Your videos are always fun to watch.
Thanks
What kind of roof rack do u have
Salamat for the video
Salamat sa panonood
Pare sama tau Tomales or Bodega
Wat mounts are those

How did you transport it to the water heavy kayak...???🤔😅
and how do you transport the kayak from next to your car to the water??
Hey Jun. I remember you trying the Hobie Rev and Outback. Now that you have this one which do you prefer and why?
Good job for unloading and re- loading with Kayak.
To each his own but I find it easier leaning it on the back and sliding it straight up onto the roof rack.
HI, Is 9 Feet cam strap long enough for tie the old town PDL106?
Hey Jun I Allways enjoy your videos watching from Port Hueneme Beach CA ✌️ fish 🐟 on
Yah boss.. pakita mo nman paano mo e tie up ung kayak mo.. thanks.
Got that Jet Bite. And the new bait bite. Good work!!
Hi June. Helpful vedio, where can I buy the Bracket on your car rooftop rack? I would appreciate if you can send me a link for that. Thanks.
Thanks for the valuable tips. I'm getting a kayak next week and I was wondering...
I can hear your wife now honey don’t scratch the truck👍👍👍😂😂😂
Inspired by you
I am same height, SUV, almost Same boat, Thank you!
How do you get the kayak from the car to the shore? I see Fisherman Life using a two-wheel roller, but I didn't see any on yours.
I wondered this too do a video showing getting the kayak to the water so we can see
Not gonna lie. The old town pdl 106 is freaken heavy! Hahaha almost broke my back. I really need to get a trailer or a truck. Haha
Place a bathroom shower mat on roof spot where you're sliding on
I like loading and unloading 68 lb kayak 🙃😜😂🤣
What is the kayak resting on? The bare roof? You must be scratching your car paint ?
Thats One Strong Foo !
💪💪💪
Good video jun
Then you wheel it off to the launch? How does that work?
rolls it. 0_0
Clearly you’ve been hitting the gym 😉. Thx 4 posting!
what amp hour battery are you running for this kayak?
Great video! Question for anyone that knows about winds and waves for a kayak. Anyone know the safe conditions for kayak fishing?

@@tamalpias thanks, im a noob kayaker. Just trying to figure out what conditions would be ideal. Thanks for the imput
Haven't seen you upload in a while how's it been fishing now do they have customized kayaks
Nice Car Jun!!!
Yes! Thank you!!
You should really get that small harbor freight trailer that folds in half. That looks pretty rough.
Well damn. Guess I can't cry about car topping my pdl 120 anymore lol
Clean and press brah! With all that fish protein you should be getting some gains. Get SWOLE! LOL! Love your vids dude. Always look forward to it...even if it takes a while!
Thank you sir !!!
you should put a towel under the kayak when sliding it down from the roof! so you don't scratch the paint off.
I put a strap on the crossbar end to keep from scratching the paint.
Can you show us how to load a kayak if we care about the paint on the roof ??
I have the same kayak and struggle to lift it into my truck bed let alone trying to car top it. $hit heavy as f#$%...lol.
That's more than fishing because that's a workout 👍💪🐟 loving the videos kapatid. ❤
whens the next surf fishing video?
Thank you cool, but I already den my pkup roof lol
May be better to put a towel on your roof to protect from scratches
Subbing for more kayak content pare! 🔥🤙
time for a truck kuya 👌🏽
a little truck with a rail system would be better!
Sa lahat naman ng oras eh noh.. hahahha airplane decided to pass by hahaha
Jun, you a black belt in tae kwon do! You can kick that yak onto the roof of your car!
really? 128 lbs bare?

What are you going to do in 5 to10 years or after you hurt your back? Have fun

No kayak weights 128 pounds
Trust me your not short bro... Im 4'11" so yeah lol.
Lol
Nah, you guys are both shorties. LOL
@@epicdream3r992 I was about to say. 😂
Yeah I guess we are 😣😭
you should get a small folding trailer from harbor freight. pretty cheap and makes your life easier.
Do you hate your car?
Are you just sliding that Kayak on the top of your roof?
Your going to scratch the paint and the salt water will start to rust your roof in no time.
Put down heavy sheet plastic or try towel
End pămînt the car....
I hope the wind never kicks up for you when loading or unloading.
How NOT to roof load your kayak! That's what you get for smokin that dirt weed.
That poor paint job 😢
Run no less than 30 lbs fluorocarbon leader bro.

Registration numbers and tags for an energized kayak ?
My eyes deceiving me ?
How much ?
A lot of if not most states make you register a kayak if you add any kind of motor.
