God I miss this show I am a daughter of a 2 star usmc general rip dad I am a veteran lance corporal usmc 1995-2001 and I’m married to a navy seal retired now 25 yrs my husband and I use to watch jag and trust me this show has a lot of respect for all of us that have served are serving now and those who are enlisting I wish they would bring jag back thanks for the memories
@@Skank_and_Gutterboy Very true sir I loved watching Jag when it was on cbs (95-05) I have the up most respect for Jag lawyers in real life I’ve known a few won’t say names because of National Security and there safety there very good friends and I’m very proud of everything they accomplish
@@paulabes4220 Your welcome sir lost my dad very tragically April 25 2019 dad was my hero growing up Unfortunately my husband has passed away since I posted this November 16 2021 I miss my husband Joe like crazy I still from time to time go to call him and reality hits me Joe was K I A working for DEA everyone that knows of the case he was working on said he gave his life to protect his team and 2 grandchildren from being hit like I said god knows how much I miss him and I would do almost anything to have Joe here with me and our family thank you for commenting I didn’t see your response until today 08/23/22
I remember watching this show as a we little lad and wanting to be a naval aviator. I wanted to fly the F-14 and nothing else. My dad had a friend who was a retired aviator and flew tomcats with the Top Hatters and Swordsmen. I used to call him CAG and he taught me everything he could about the tomcat and worked towards being an aviator. When I graduated High School the Navy retired the F-14 from active service and I was heart broken. But at least I get to fly the F-14 on DCS.
I feel you bro, I went through 4 years of ROTC graduating in 2004 only for the Tomcat to be retired in 2005. Too bad we didn’t get the Super Tomcat or a larger rollout of the “D” but politics and budgets.
Folks this ex United States navy sailor totally agrees with everyone's assessments about admiral Thomas Boone and Harmon rabb Jr and their mutual respect it was always evident even when the cag was being tried on Court martial charges involving him blowing that Bosnian chopper apart when they fired on his fellow pilots and that female Jag lawyer got taught a Vitale lesson in what it's like in combat especially 11,000 flying hours and 908 in combat that's what it's like serving this nation against enemies foriegn and domestic
The Admiral is telling the Commander about the Hanoi lighthouse. I'm sure he meant Haiphong, the port on the South China Sea. Hanoi is many miles to the west, far from the sea.
To be honest, there has not been a war declared by Congress since WWII, so those would be illegal according to the Constitution. Why wasn't the President impeached for putting the US military in foreign lands without authorization by Congress? Still enjoyed watching JAG, good characters, actors and scripts.
Barry Shulman - Well said. As a USAF retired veteran, I MISS JAG. I have the first 4 seasons on DVD. I LOVE the sound of jet noise and can almost smell the jet fuel.
Maybe not that story particularly. That said you know it is based at least on some element of truth. For example US Air crews could not target radar sites or SAM sites under construction because they might kill the Russian technicians that were helping the North Vietnamese. Only When the sites were operational and shooting back could US pilots engage. Those orders came from politicians in DC.

Agreed, Korea, Viet nam, Granada, Iraq and all the others were not declared wars. Not many people know that or voice that. 👍
