From your video I have to say that you didn’t see the Great Wall. The rain and fog obscured the awesome view of this magnificent structure extending endlessly across the ridge of the mountains. You need to see it again in a clear day.
Top marks for not letting the rain get you down. Must be the years of hardiness inbred by the UK weather! I'd have been inclined to take a 'duvet day' aka 'rain check' in US parlance. But then I'm a bit of a fair weather tourist, so I hope it's dry on the day of my booking.

Was there in Spring of 2013. It wasn't as crowded then. The hike up the Wall can be quite challenging. Make sure you stay hydrated.

It's not Hadrians wall or Berlin wall. The Great Wall traverses thousands of miles. Cant be just flat.
