I was way more confused / disturbed by the sheer number of flies on the upper level. What is up with that? How did they even get there, what do they live off of? Disgusting. The graffiti is bad and confusing in a different way. Since the area doesn't seem to be trafficked much and it's an official exhibition, it's kinda weird that people would scribble on the walls. I mean, it's not some random back alley or something of the sort. Boggles my mind.

Chongqing is one of most vibrant and safe city in Asia. I was there 2009 and 2017 and hope to be back for one more time in near future.
I'm not Chinese but I remember when I was small, the 'Face-Changing' art I saw on TV was not like this which you can see those are masks. It was changing of painted faces which you can see the contours of the face - the nose, cheeks and chin. If it were so, that means this art has lost because a Chinese master doesn't teach his disciple everything but saves 10%; in case the latter turns against him, such as setting up his own theatre and the master suddenly displays something that astonishes the audience and shocks the traitor.

If you want to see 3000 years of Chinese history, visit Xi'an. If you want to see 800 years of Chinese history, visit Beijing. If you want to see 30 years of Chinese future, visit Shenzhen. If you want to see a mix of futuristic and old-school China, visit city of Cyberpunk Chongqing. If you want to see the most spectacular natural scenery, go to Guilin, Guangxi. Every province in China is different. There are so many interesting places.

Was there in Spring of 2013. It wasn't as crowded then. The hike up the Wall can be quite challenging. Make sure you stay hydrated.
