Couldn't you snag one new on EBay? I doubt the shipping would be as much. I know I have bought gear from Canadian companies here in the US and the shipping wasn't bad, but maybe it's different going from CA to the U.S.
You can buy a Flatpack from AliExpress for $35 with free shipping around the world. Its literally the SAME EXACT BAG.

I ordered mine yesterday to go on my Ferro Concepts. Very reminiscent of the mini map but way better in my opinion. Also includes lots of swag because its HSP.

I think some people complaining about the pack, don't really understand the its intent on how it's supposed to be used. It's a very minimalistic pack, light weight that gives you the option to mount to a plate carrier (like a back panel), but also gives you the option to carry it as a regular back pack. Some people complain it doesn't have any padding on the inside... I believe it's something that was not considered in order to reduce weight on it. Too many people are comparing it to a regular back pack...but I don't see it that way. It can serve as an alternative to one, but I don't believe that is its main purpose. If you want something with padding and organization feautures inside of it, then get a regular back pack. I highly doubt that Travis Haley overlooked those details on this pack. I think it's simple, compact, lightweight and has a specific purpose. It's a good piece of gear in my eyes.

Does anyone know if the flatpack would be compatible with the hsgi spc panel? Width and buckle sizing? I like 3dcr but the spc is lighter and lower profile since I do have a smaller build but I also want the option of hydration and extra mags, bbs, ect. Thanks!

It's great for a lot of reasons. I run a Emdom vehicle hydration carrier. It's advertised to hold 2L but 3L fits just fine. Does this truly only hold 1L? Not really enough for operations since this bag is designed to be a self contained day pack, hydration carrier, sensitive exploitation ect.

Justin Spencer 500D is pretty much the standard. 500 is very durable and still retains the ability to be light.

I would assume any chest rig with one inch fastex buckles would be compatible.
How does the D3 Flatpack look and fit on a small JPC?
It actually is on a jpc in the video. Not sure which size though. I think that it will look fine on a small jpc as it is a very small pack.
I love HSP, I run a bunch of their gear but this really doesn't fit any of my needs, much better off with my Grey Ghost Lightweight Operator pack.

+Jose Gerez Depends on the unit. there are regulations on what exactly you can wear but for the most part as long as its ugly ACU pattern or, now, multicam, you can unless your commander specifically says no to certain items. as long as the items still look uniform in a way to the rest of everyone else there shouldnt be an issue. don't go in there thinking you can wear a crye precision jpc and things of that nature that you would only see of special operations warriors.

Depends on the branch, and unit. Most conventional units dictate what you can wear, and it's mostly only issued gear. They do have approved gear lists though for things like boots that are AR-670-1 compliant for the US Army for example. Most SOF components can choose their own kit though for the most part.
How are people saying $130 is too much for a backpack? That's not high by any stretch of the imagination. Especially when you consider the versatility.
