- A task as humbling as it is impossible, Anthony and Trey attempt to recap the magic of what took place over Labor Day Weekend in Huntsville, AL. We deliver our love letter to the Tipper Community and the Orion Amphitheater in this night by night breakdown of our experience, and include several clips of Tipper and his visual cohorts doing what they do best.
We are beyond grateful to have been a part of this community for the past 10 years, and the least we can do is express our love and gratitude to everyone involved, past, present & future. THANK YOU

I’m upset I missed this event as an HSV N8tive and DJ! 😢I worked for Uber/Lyft that weekend. My background is in Hip-Hop so I was out of the loop unfortunately. I met so many amazing ppl that came from across the country to Huntsville, Alabama of all places! We’re changing the narrative of what “Alabama” actually is. We have tons of creative talent here! Man i drove out there, so didn't have to deal with tide shares. But holy crap, i heard yall got smashed with the amount of people trying to get rides. 😅
Thinking about the weather thing, is so true. Suwannee always brings the rainy vibes and NOLA had them rainy vibes 😂 the freaking eclipse set 😅
I missed Friday night. I live 4.5 miles from the venue and I was able to hear those Funktion ones pounding. I didn't miss Saturday or Sunday .😂 After living on the west coast for several years, it was super refreshing to experience something on this magnitude in my home town. Huntsville is extremely blessed to have the Orion. It's absolutely one of the best venues in the country.

Wish i woupdve stuck around for the afters there at Orion! Took my sister out to her first Tipper and Friends, and she has fallen in love yall! Sadly i was feeling like total crap the whole time i was there. Still had an amazing time though 🤌
Orion was so amazing, they delivered drinks to us at out seats in the front! Everyone and thing there was on point. Really hoping for one more shindig there this 2025.

I was sober for these shows aside from a few tokes of weed on downtempo night and I had a transcendental experience. I definitely felt like I was in an altered state from the music and visuals.
Same here my dude. Was a spiritual journey that won't soon be forgotten.

Thankms! cool insights for me. As someone who watched Tipper from like 2004-2010 mainly around the West Coast, this whole Colorado to East Coast , Tipper and Friends world was a big unknown to me . I just saw Tipper in Texas a few months ago and it was such a different experience than back in the day. Instead of a couple hundred people, half of whom I knew, it was 1000s of people . After getting back home some weeks later, I started watching the Tipper youtube videos from last couple years and they were so intense, the visuals were like tripping, it was disorienting. We use to dance in the woods with no visuals except the ones you generated inside yourself :)
TIpper was also a niche thing the day. back in Some my friend were obsessed with him like me and some didn't care. He has alwas been my favorite DJ but I never imagined it would grow so big. I felt like his music was difficult for many people access. I also found it quite psychedelic but found it surprising how non-pyschedelic the sets were visually backj then. I was a photographer at the time and always trying to capture the other worldly experiences visually but with TIpper he wa always serious and straight lace and the psychedelic part rarely came across. Now in these shows I see on TH-cam they are mind blowingly psychedelic.

I heard Mumford and sons lead singer was an angel investor in the venue. So that's partially why the venue came about
I was Colorado sober at the show (lots of cannabis/herbs and microdose shrooms)
