How To Turn Off Notifications On iPhone
Change notification settings
Most notification settings can be customized for each app. You can turn app notifications on or off, have notifications play a sound, choose how and where you want app notifications to appear when your device is unlocked, and more.
Go to Settings - Notifications.
To choose when you want most notification previews to appear, tap Show Previews, then select an option-Always, When Unlocked, or Never. (You can override this setting for individual apps.)
Previews can include things like text (from Messages and Mail) and invitation details (from Calendar).
Tap Back, tap an app below Notification Style, then turn Allow Notifications on or off.
If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose how and where you want the notifications to appear for the app-for example, on the Lock screen or in Notification Center.
You can also set a notification banner style, sound, and badges for many apps.
Tap Notification Grouping, then choose how you want the notifications grouped:
By App: All the notifications from the app are grouped together.
Automatic: The notifications from the app are grouped according to organizing criteria within the app, such as by topic or thread.
Off: Turn off grouping.
To turn off notifications selectively for apps, go to Settings - Notifications - Siri Suggestions, then turn off any app.

So i was on a call with me girlfriend and it was really late for her and she couldn't talk because of some personal reasons, so she was streaming her phone and her parents were asking her to sleep because they could hear the notifications of my texts, so i asked her to turn off the notifications okay? and everything was going great until she turned the notifications of the app we were talking on, i asked her to turn of the beep sound of the iphone the normal notifications pop-up sound, and i also texted her not to turn off each and every apps notifications manually, and as you know she already had turned off the notifications off of the particular app on which we were texting, so what she did was she opened her phone's settings and then she went to the notifications settings and then there was like 1K+ applications on her phone (i accept im exaggerating a lil too much :3) yeah so she started opening each and every app on her phone and started turning off the notifications and i kept on texting her "pls listen to me, pls don't do this to me", "i can't bear this pain anymore" but despite of that she continued, so after 1 hour she was back (im exaggerating this, my apologies), so after that when she was back she finally realized that i had written a whole speech while she was gone, so after that when she finally got to know what exactly i asked her to do she again went back to her settings and started turning on all of the notifications, and yeah this time she was back sooner than the first time and she texted me that "wait did just asked me mute the notifications?" and i said "Alas" thanks for finally reading the text-
