Mooer certainly seems to have certainly seems to have stepped up this quality from the old days. I have this D7 X2 delay pedal I use in stereo with my JC 22. I liked it so much I decided to put in the effects loop of My HeadRush Gigboard for use at church, the delays are much better than what comes in the unit. I'm able to set presets, and pre-save all the tap tempo and settings, for various songs in a set.
Having those 14 presets and 2 tweak knobs on the D7X2 really gives it utility. It's like a swiss army knife pedal, and you can have great fun making wild sounds with it. Have to say the thing it's really missing is a killer analog and tape algorithm. I wish I could transfer those from the DD8 somehow.
Excellent video and great performance! I owned a lot of Boss delays in the past. Honestly I was skeptical about the DD8 and his modernity sounds and everything. But now that i have been using it for the last 2 years I can say that it’s a fantastic versatile do it all friendly budget Delay pedal without resigning quality. I highly recommend it for live performances use or even studio recordings. Killer tones!!!🤟🏻🔥🎸
I have that D7 X2 and absolutely love it! It has some really great sound for the price and considering I just sit in my shop and play by myself these days, it works well enough for me! Not sure how valid my opinion is on the matter in that case but whatever. I'm hoping to get the R7 X2 soon too so I can get real weird by myself in my shop! Great video, as always!
They go great together. Try going 75% wet on the R7 reverb with high decay, into the D7 delays, and you can create some wonderful dreamy soundscapes. You can quickly turn feedback to full on the delay and create a loop to play over, though you lose the delay on the dry signal. I'm sure you'll have fun finding your own way to go!
Not a fan of mooer after buying a mini reverb pedal and having the switch break after one month of light hand use. And the jacks are very noisy. And the sound quality is average at best but it costs more than an Ibanez mini pedal which are built beautifully.
I wanted the dd8 when it came out but since discovering the D7X2, I think it sounds just as good and does more

I think they are both good. I really can't choose a favorite

The dd8 has REALLY surprised me since I got it. It’s a killer pedal even compared to my real tube tape echo
Simple, compact, useful and great sounds. Love it 🔥

@@elemkay5104 Awesome! I can't wait to try it! And, I've got other, back-up delays that I can always click to get good and trippy!

And what about DD8?
@@PerryFrankwell DD8 is totally different. That’s quality at a decent price. Value right there. Wouldn’t count on the mooer lasting a long time.
@@DoctorRevers agree
dd-8 sound richer. Mooer sound clear and chorusless. For solo playing I prefer boss, for band maybe mooer. Both pedals have same cost.
I prefer Mooer
