Without doubt my favourite TH-cam channel. Interesting, informative and entertaining. James is so good at explaining everything. I’m not a farmer I’m a truck driver but I’m just hooked on PX Farms.

You’ve no idea of dirt until you’ve combined winter beans on a frosty day in November with a Clayson combine, 10ft cut and NO cab, you go home absolutely black from head to toe.

Nothing on any channel on TV tonight to beat this. Thank you. This is the very best in arable farming. Excellent delivery of information, facts, figures, history, logistics, you name it he has answers or will get one. The Fendt boys should be able to fly a pump out of Jackson Minnesota quicker than that. An unfair question, if Mr Peck was not available, who would keep the show on the road ? Stay safe and keep telling us how it is.

Despite not being a farmer, I love watching James's channel and seeing the state of the art machinery and the skill with which his team of faithful workers can operate it. Not to mention the size of some of the fields on his farm in Cambridgeshire; 368 acres in one field, I think he said, this is the size of an entire farm here in Northern Ireland. Informative, entertaining and articulately presented.👏

Your Humor is priceless James. In Case of stucking lorrys i could sing you a goodd song. In the mid 90's i dumped sewer cake with a hooklift on harvested fields, sometimes directly into the growing crops. It was horrible and specially when dumping at night. Looking for the overpass into the field with a flashlight. Greetings from Germany.I hope the rest of your harvest getting well.

Put a tramline burner on our sprayer just a quad bike sprayer on front of knight s/p. Then a nozzle mounted off the back wheel drop leg so they steer with the wheels. We put a scrowd round each nozzle to limit the spread and also stop mud etc. Synced with main on off switch works a treat. Usually 2 main tanks to 1 front tank so doesn’t slow you down.

I worked on a suffolk farm in 1967 I was 16 at the time my boss Mr R Stennet bought 3off Class Matador's for I think £ 3,000 each they can now make £800 today how farming has change over the years. keep up the good work. Hi James, love the videos particularly about the constantly elusive Finn and cousin Michael, having worked on an arable farm in Essex for my dad from the age of 13 it is fantastic to see the difference in technology since I was involved on my Ford 5000 with a 3 ton trailer chasing a Class with a 12 foot header I used to have to drive like Graham Hill up and down to the Butler bins just to keep up with the combine. Please keep up the great videos .

James, your forensic analysis of your crops and fields is astonishing. We need more people with your knowledge as advisors to the government. I am in complete admiration of your farming/team and if I had my chance again, I would be making a nuisance of myself until you gave me a job!!!!
Oh, and one question, I have seen another farm whose John Deer combine has a seed cracker (?) which shatters the weed seeds in the chaff. Is this something you would consider as a retrograde fit to your combines?

I prefer naming the Fendt MT, John RT as two track or twin track tractors. The Claas Axion 960 Terratrac is a front wheel assist - two rear track tractor. The Harrington seed destructor (Australia) mounts on the rear of the modern JD, New Holland & Case-IH combines. The iHSD turns the straw & most of the weed seeds leaving the rear of the combine into powder, so the downside of no straw for the power station. The USA is so dry in places; there are balers coupled directly to combines (combaler) at least some weed seed probably goes directly into the baler/ bale.

Evening James, great channel, thanks for your updates.
Will the issues you’ve had with the steering box and parts supply issues, tempt you to look at a different brand or just place a well positioned rocket in the direction of the dealer principal??
I remember in the mid 90’s when the new Holland 60 series came out. We had a 8560 replace an early 8630 and it was nothing but trouble. Spent more time in our local Hampshire dealer Allison and Garwood than working. Bearing in mind we had pretty much all Ford/New Holland at the time as main tractors on 4,000 acres my guvnor, Richard Porter held his tongue as long as he could but in the end a very angry Mr Porter called Mike Garwood and basically said “if I don’t have this tractor replaced FOC within 24 hours, bring low loaders and take every blue tractor off my farm”. Lo and behold, a lorry arrived next morning, a slightly larger 170hp 8670 arrived and the 160hp 8560 was never seen again.

Question, how have you managed to be able to tow the headers behind the combines when they exceed the18.5m permissable length for agri vehicles. Just interested as boss was advised against it as if caught would go against operators license. A local dealer had that happen to them whilst moving their demonstration machine with a 12m header.

typically old footpaths connected parish churches , so the vicar could walk between his flocks , so to speak. Obviously , there is no vicars requiring "as the crow flies" footpaths between his congregations any longer. The re-routing go ancient footways is long overdue . I cannot see why anyone person would object to be given a much better alternative around the field margins ???? unless of course they have an alternative agenda ? Good Vlog as always from PX Farming.👍
