Clarkson's Farm is very good, but this is the real deal. This is walking the talk. Keeping the team motivated and well fed. Constant decisions are needed from who fixes a broken bolt to not getting to 13.5 on the protein. Sitting on the combine still being enjoyable leading from the front, sort of, the others seem to be cutting more hectares ! I would have thought at night you would have a bit more power, denser cooler air with more oxygen would give you more horses. Wonderful videos, I do hope this is seen by people who are detached from food production, real eye opener for them. Thank you again.
@yonmusak yes for wheat definitely, normally after 1am its to damp to combine, if u don't want cost of drying. Baling too, also can troublesome if to hot in the day..
This guy is a real boss a leader of men. He’s been working all day and is obviously knackered. Always bigging up his team. He actually asked his drivers what trucks they preferred 👏👏.
The magic word you have used often in this video is TEAM And you are so correct no matter how good the machinery is it’s the guys who use them and work together that make it all happen. Well done TEAM
Incredible operation which many will aspire to in the Arable sector..the investment needed is almost mind blowing covering this acreage..but nothing without a good team and James at the helm..!!
Still cannot believe how great these videos are.Im certainly not a farmer (work as an engineer) but these episodes are very interesting and James certainly knows how to explain and get a cross all his farming knowledge in such a great way. Respect, it's entrepreneurs like yourself who embrace new technologies that will lead the way!
Congrats on 10k subs and congrats to Sandy and his partner on the new arrival. 226 hectares and 2100 ton is an amazing achievement in one day. When I started work in 1974 for a MF dealer, you thought you had a good day if you combined about 30 acres and put 100 ton in the barn with a MF 625 combine. Good luck with the rest of the harvest and mind those poles!!!!
Amazing day on the combines James. Compelling viewing even after 40 years in the Industry. To lead from the front is always the best way to be a successful leader.
Nice to see you get on one of the combines and join in and not just sit in the range rover watching! That's a good boss 👌 great progress well done✔️ 👏 keep going 👍
Well done James and team, really look forward to your very enjoyable blogs. This is British agriculture at its best! Keep them coming. (Cornish Carpenter)
Unbelievable operation from the whole team! Some great content that you are putting out and you are a credit to agriculture! Definitely showing how a farm should be run with good communication and pulling together as a team! Keep them coming and all the best for the rest of the season 👌
Brilliant update James! Great to hear from your drivers too! Can't bate a boss who gets stuck in 👏🏻👏🏻 you'll be at 100k subs in no time like Olly Blogs 😊
James, congratulations to Sandy his life will now be colourful as I have always said until you have children its very black and white. No wonder you have so much respect from your team when you are prepared to get on the machines such as a combine, many could learn from this example. Harvest here in Wiltshire is about to get going into the Wheats yield and quality will remain to be seen fingers crossed and legs come to that!!! Hope harvest and the cultivations continues as you planned, stay safe.
Congratulations on the 10,000 subscribers James. Never seen a farming channel grow so quick. Everything you put out there is first class and very well explained, an your sense of humour an your personality just completes the channel👍. Thank you also for taking the time and effort doing these videos, very much appreciated👍
Another interesting , in depth update. Saw your kit adjacent to the A14 today (31st) Looked something else compared to what I was used to! Some good drone shots as well. Like the little kids wanting some of the action as well.
A little bromide in the packed lunches will help reduce staff absence, say in October/November to ensure full crew during harvest. You really can’t have your chaps running off to the maternity ward left, right and centre. It can be our little secret - no-one else will know, I promise😊. Seriously, fantastic effort to minimise fire destruction. There must be nothing more heart breaking and wallet shredding than watching your profit & more for the year going up in smoke. I subscribed very recently and I love your warts and all approach - it provides a fascinating insight. Oh, and huge congratulations to Mum & Dad on the arrival of their new daughter. I hope the harvest continues to be a good one and the forecast convective weather is kind to you. Stay safe above all.
Evening James, good to see you leading from the front on the combine. Your channel seems to be quite unique, in a good way, compared to others. I am sure your subscriber base will grow strongly with content like this
I really impressed by how you James run this operation, as you say good teamwork makes great days, and the fact that you spend the day on the combine and then the back of 11 at night your there rounding up the video and answering viewers questions, truly a dedicated and exceptional leader and businessman, with a fantastic hard working team behind you. I have always believed, that if you show your employees that you are more than prepared to do the dirty work then staff will be so respectful and follow you 100%. and as a guy that used to run a couple of grain stores for Frontier Agriculture, there is nothing better when you see the fruits of your labour, and also when you put a new guy to do a dirty job, and they say to your other guys that I bet the boss has never done this, and they turn round and say the boss has done that job more time than you have had hot dinners. so good, Well done James keep up the fantastic work you do. Thank you for all the time you take to educate people on the important work of farmers.
Congratulations to Sandy hope family are all well and healthy hopefully maybe see you next harvest Ule be glad to be into wheat this early keep the hard work up guys ❤
Damn right on about the pylons! All the H&S danger and field work issue should be noted. Underground surely is better after all London would be stupid with pylons. Also no issues with vandalism or theft and weather conditions. Cost show us TRUE between overground vs underground.
There are many companies who could take leads from James’s operating systems . Optimum performance ; both man and machine under variable conditions is no easy feat . A good shift to remember when others prove more challenging . Onwards
I can remember in the early days combining with no cab, I couldn’t open my eyes the next morning, until I’d washed them out. I’d be like a duck out of water today.. cracking blog..
Congratulations on hitting 10,000 subscribers! 👌 Very interesting video, thanks. It must be bloody annoying to have all those obstacles stuck in your fields, send out massive bills to all concerned. Best wishes, Colin.
Love the content James ! Keep it up I saw you guys harvesting in horningsea I was going to come up the track but I thought I better not distract anyone in the field quick question do you guys still farm land out barrington ?
James you are demonstrating how you have built your business attention to detail you talk about dust us oldies remember the days of the Airstream Helmet before cabs.
Congratulations Mr, Mrs & Baby Sandy. These field-located poles and sensors that you don't get compensated adequately for: what would happen if you just said no or if teenagers set fire to them in the night?
wooo 10k subscribers just before the months ended 💙, I almost stopped Tuesday morning when i saw you James just coming off Bar Hill just before you turned into the field, but I thought better not
James. You are normally so organised I am surprised you haven’t got your staff’s partners on infallible contraception during October, November and December. Having babies during harvest and autumn cultivations is not efficient! 😂😂😂. Paul
I’m sure you have been asked loads so I apologise, But my missus asked about the big poster/picture that’s behind you in your office, What is it and the story behind it? Thanks again for the great videos Mark and Marie.
Glad u mentioned these multi million electric firms plus paying nothing but seem to have rights above farmers an land owners. Must be a solicitor willing to make a case an every farmer pay a fee to them .

Does nighttime humidity play a part in working hours?
@yonmusak yes for wheat definitely, normally after 1am its to damp to combine, if u don't want cost of drying.
Baling too, also can troublesome if to hot in the day..
@@russellswann2450 Interesting! Thanks for your reply mate.

James. Your consistency with these vids through Harvest is amazing!!
Thanks for taking the time to chat to us 😊 the boys had a great evening!
Big well done to all at PX farms. Shows what a well oiled team can do.
Thank you James for the update, you have an amazing team behind you. Congratulations to Sandy on the arrival of his daughter .
Utterly brilliant , love watching the combining and team working . I can see this channel becoming one of the biggest agri ones on the tube .
Best farming channel on TH-cam 👍👍
That's one knackered looking Mr Peck, people don't realize the concentration levels operating machinery.

Long may the good days continue. Congrats to Sandy and partner - a new era in their life - good luck. From someone who had twin boys 20 years ago.

I’m absolutely loving your videos. Very informative and enjoy how you cover all the perspectives of running a farm as a business.

Hi James, do you plan on growing any different crops, and do you plan to have more trucks and Trailers.
Glad u mentioned these multi million electric firms plus paying nothing but seem to have rights above farmers an land owners. Must be a solicitor willing to make a case an every farmer pay a fee to them .
Very nice video again, James. A chainsaw and an angel grinder comes to mind as well.
How often are you changing the combines? Is it a rental deal to keep them up to date and new under warranty??
What makes the crops more dusty? Is it related to the wet spring? Some cracking good drone shots (I fly them for a living).
haha i just left al my questions on the last video a minute ago now this ones uploaded, i couldve put them on here 😂
Jimmy. How does a field get narrow in the middle. Is it shaped like an egg timer?
Long days. Stay safe .
