The humans are the real wonders if the world. We created both the wonders and the ancient wonders. The biggest loss if we suffer mass extinction will be the music and masterpieces like this
@Shostacovid-19 first form of music was voice. people sang. then new methods of making sound were invented. perhaps through really primitive knocking sounds or instruments which utilise breath and the lungs. modern music sparked by pythagoras when he discovered hitting two metal rods together of certain length would produce a satisfying sound: the perfect 5th interval.
По моему очень придирчивому мнению, это лучшее живое выступление из всех, которые я слышал. Зрителям, присутствовавшим на нём, действительно повезло. Запись и качество звука, кстати, очень плохое.
Of all his performances of these etudes at this concert, this seems to be the one most strongly and genuinely felt. Maybe he was relieved that the end was in sight, and mentally relaxed.
You’re probably right. Having played this piece and a few others in this suite, this piece is somewhat of a relief because the notes are under the control of the fingertips and you aren’t smashing too many chords
1:26 this transition to the "piano" session is superb, then going for the crescendo 1:40 insane dynamic control... 2:13 note the voice on left hand again in 2:19 and 2:25
I don't agree. This is far more musical than Trifonov's which is frankly boring and his technique isn't up to the job of the Transcendental Studies. Boris is not only technically superior, but musically speaking too. As well as beauty there is raw passion and emotion in Boris's playing that Trifonov just doesn't have. I don't know what you mean about Boris's phrasing being incorrect either. It's faithful to the score.
Berezovskys interpretation is the best but i prefer it over trifonovs only because berezovsky plays the chromatics in the middle of the piece more clearly and quietly, and the overall tone of the piece feels more passionate. Trifonov has the best opening to the piece i feel, and theres a few other spots here and there. its hard to say really
Gabin Dupuy ochinnikov is a beast. To be honest I’m not a fan of Trifonov’s transcendentals at all... they seem reserved and melancholy in comparison to Berezovsky’s, they feel like they’re missing the fiery passion of Liszt. Not to mention these recordings of Berezovsky are all live!! Just adds to how insanely impressive they are
Ah ! P. R.
You'd be sweating that much if you've just played 11 of the transcendental etudes in a row. Heck, like playing 4 - 9 would already have you sweating like that.
En este video se puede observar como el e jecutor mueve dedos y muñecas, vibran... pero no se ve que es el n° 12, primero hay otros 11 trascendentes... trifonov acaba los 12 empapado. Liszt implacable
My God he is sweating like a pig. You'd think the producers would have the AC turned on halfway through the program, but no, lets just have our pianist cook under the lights like stale chicken tenders at a Chinese carryout!
Javascript Kiddie OOF that’s pretty rude and racist, also many reasons go to why he’s sweating a lot, such as he didn’t just play one song, and he could be nervous sweating. Also if the AC is too high, it can make his fingers cold and unable to move so fast.
Its in my opinion an incredible climax with this speed. Maybe some stormy chromatic scales are lost but its just a transcendental rendition. He does however miss a few important notes because of it.
If you watch the whole performance he gets sweaty after the 2nd etude already. And especially after the 4th mazeppa and 10th piece. Man just sweats heaps.
@@alis1637 it was in the south of France in a very hot summer outside. If you find other performances of the full 12 he doesn't normally sweat this much even with a suit jacket on!
War Crimes: This pianist has found the courage to declare Putin's lies to be true. If this had happened to me. I would swear not to touch a piano key again until Putin is out of office. He should now also have the courage to tell the truth: That Russia is waging an aggressive war of invasion against Ukraine, with many civilians losing their lives at the hands of the Russian army.
Великолепный пианист, чье исполнение на уровне титанов рояля. Да, насчёт Украины... Он никому ничего не должен. Это человек, у которого есть своё мнение и он имеет право на него. Это к комментариям ниже

Agreed.
There are no words to describe this performance.
Some of berezovskys best work playing some of liszts best. I think this is nearly a definitive performance
1:04-1:07 lol he is tuning the piano so he is checking the sound
Because a string broke on the 10th etude
Lol literally he is checking
the attention to the voicing, superb.....
3:04 his hand is moving with accuracy and power, and passion
Maybe the world record. It's superfast.
Trifonov is way better
@@theowinckel it’s all subjective, different people prefer different playing methods. There’s no need to force your opinion on anyone.

Beautiful! I love how Berezovsky plays Chasse-neige! This must be Liszt’s most beautiful piece!
Berezovsky inmortal!!
Stunning performance.
Just peak human performance, finishing THIS set with this much fierce is super human.

This is the greatest rendition, there is no competition.
This recording is not as musical Trifonov’s, there are too many wrong notes and the phrasing is not played as Liszt instructed.

This is the musical piece I like more !!! Beautifully played!
Just Bravo!!!
БРАВО!!!!!
Beresovsky has not only amazing technic but a really good ear. He probably just improvised this after hearing it once.
yes i am convinced this one in particular was an improv.

Berezovsky and Kissin have the best recordings of the transcendentals imo
