When I was a little kid I found caterpillars on our carrot plants. I put them between my window and the screen in my room. On the day the butterflies came out, my mother forgot and opened my window. We had butterflies throughout the house.

Jay is a beautiful Butterfly with hair of silken wings. A smile of golden sunshine and all the joys it brings. Cole is like a breath of wind, a soft and cooling breeze, blowing softly cross a meadow and dancing through the trees. Together they are earth shine, bring joy and peace all year, the creatures of the forest smile beaming ear to ear. We are the ones who wonder at the things they let us see and soon our lovely friends times two will become friends times three.
Another great video guys, loved it.

I love butterflies! We raised a few when our daughter was little and it was super fun to let her release them when ready. It's really inspiring that you guys plant that lovely garden and attract so many different kinds and raise some in those cages. Brings a bit of a tear to my eye to see them majestically fly away to bring another generation. Thanks!!

I remember this from the 1980's. I was out hunting doves in my Dad's back field. I was late September. It was sunny and in the mid 70's with a west breeze. The autumn leaves were in their full glory. I looked up the hill and, at first, thought leaves were blowing in the breeze. Then I realized that they were Monarchs, hundreds of them! They were heading south. I'd never saw so many! This is something that I'll remember up to the day I leave this Earth. It was a spiritual moment. I was just a teenager.

    Cole and Jay,
Thanks for another beautiful video! I’ve never seen more motivating videos on planting and keeping a butterfly garden. If I ever have the time and the place to have one, I’ll go back to your videos for the instructions!
I really think that you two should have a nature show of your own, but it would have to be produced by you in order to retain your integrity and purity! We’ll just wait and see. Stay true to who you are and God will continue to bless you.✝️
In the meantime, Cole, you could be doing voiceover work! The little section that you narrated at the end was as good as any nature film I’ve ever watched. 👍 Your voice and diction are perfect.
❤️Jay, you are great, too, but you need to cut down on your work right now not do more!😊
Love you both (all THREE!) and Junie and Buggy and the rest of the critters!)

I raise Milk Weed in the CPR land I have , also I am a member of a privet marsh and we raise milk weed there also
But here in NW Ohio , our Monarch's have all headed south
We collect milk weed pods every fall and spread the seeds in freshly tilled strips of ground in the CPR ground
We can not grow crops in the CPR Ground , but milk weed is considered a weed
So it is OK to let it grow
We never collect the caterpillars , but I see a lot of them on the milk weed in both areas
Also we see lots of the Monarch butterflies
Glad to see your great work

As california kids in the early 60's, we did the same thing in elementary school as science projects. Raised them in mason jars.
We had mulberrys between the classrooms that were absolutely LOADED with CACOONS in those days.
(crysallis? There you go, using them big cittee slicker words again, Junior. 😠 Does that make you feel more like a man? 😏)
I haven't seen any Monarchs since those early days. All i see are moths. I hate moths.
Good on you'se kids for what you're doing! We need more catcher uppers.

These aren't cacoons: these are indeed crysalis's or crysalids. A cacoon is a silk protective shell woven by some catterpillars which they then turn into a chrysalis inside. Butterflies don't spin cacoons; it is only some moths.

      Well... La... Ti... Da...
No need to git yerseff all oui oui'd up, shoutin' them condescendin' cittee slicker words at us, Jacques. 😲
You should eat another brownie and watch the butterflies again until you feel a bit more civil before posting, professor.
