No, you misunderstand something! Every man has a pistol and a rifle There're at least 20 HUMMVEs with mounted machineguns or grenade launchers. Then there's the guns on any APCs they had So at MINIMUM there are 1,220 guns assuming ONLY the HUMMVEs are armed in their motorpool. And that's not to mention the SPARE guns. Every company's armory has an additional 1 to 3 spare guns for everyone. Which means 1,220*2 = 2,440 guns at BARE MINIMUM with upwards of 7,260 guns.
I think the Sargent go reprimanded for that if I’m not mistaken. And later due to abuse of power was apparently disahonorably discharged. Couple of vets on the anger management video comments section were talking about it
Mike is the one in the red beret and zake is the one in the armor, Mike was in the Marines, Zack was in the army, the way backs job was that if if the normal guys could fix your weapons, it went to him, and if he couldn't do it, it had to go back to the manufacturer or get scraped
Zach's got a lot of stories that talk about Army incompetence and general difficulties in life. Mike has a couple stories about his time in the Marines and his life as a civilian, but more often than not, he is Zach's sounding board. Zach also has some very informative gun rant videos if that's your cup of tea.
If you watch more of their stories you hear a lot about Fort Polk. Basic rundown, it’s a military base in Louisiana. It is the worse one. It is filled with its astonishing amounts of incompetence from both leadership and normal day to day grunts. And that’s only scratching the surface.
No one want to be stationed at Ft. Polk. Which results in the majority are there because they were FORCED to be there (i.e. bottom of the barrel that go where the Army tells them to go.) The rest are mostly new guys like Zach who really don't have a say in where they go because they're new or didn't work it in their contract.
Any consolation, Zach revealed in a stream where the cabinets ended up in a shooting range for target practice. The Chief that took them got demoted because of that.
I was a company armorer and I can attest the level of unfucking I had to do made me leave work 2 - 3 hours after everyone was gone for the day and all I got was a stupid coin. Was also E-3 at the time.
It was once said the US Army was the most dangerous in the world because neither they nor anyone else ever knew what they were doing... Such stories are proof this is true 😂 and as someone who served for almost a decade with them in Europe, I can say it doesn't get any better abroad...
For some sort of context The highest average pay for an e3 in the military is about 35k The minimum pay for the lowest rank of Warrant Officer is about 44k So Zach is saying he was doing the work of someone whom at *least* was paid 10k more than he was.
@20lp and it's still the most generous estimate He states in the video he just recently got out of training so he would actually be at the lower end of an e-3's pay grade. The lower end can be about 28k annually. So realistically, he was doing work worth that was likely almost twice his pay grade. And that's if the Warrant Officer is newly promoted. A long time warrant officer 1 rank can get as high as 77k So it could be an atrocious gap in pay depending on the circumstances
Guy who went "That's just what is required": Guy, nobody requires a company armorer to create a storage and parts filing system for their stock from scratch and then on top of it see to the realisation of said filing and storage system by themselves. What world do you live in?
It’s not actually multiplayer. It just a modded npc that mike made and pretends he actually playing as. Zach is the one playing while mine sits next to him.
It was renamed to Fort Johnson in 2023, but Fort Polk is - by all accounts - the worst posting on the planet. And I say this as a civilian who only knows about the fort through _third hand_ information. You can find volunteers for an Iraq or Afghanistan deployment, and you can even find volunteers for the forts in Alaska. Outdoorsmen _love_ being assigned to Alaska. Almost _nobody_ who has a choice in the matter will choose Fort Polk/Fort Johnson as their deployment. The fort is located, quite literally, in a swamp in the poorest area of Louisiana - literally no one else wanted the land, so the Army built a fort there. If you know anything about the state, it's humid there all the time and every insect is looking to take a bite out of you. That's before factoring in the hurricane risks.
A typical infantry company consists of around 100 to 200 soldiers, times 6 that's 600 to 1200 peoples weapons he's looking after
Yikes
