That's a squad lead that has like 400+ hours of squad leading alone. Takes a long time to learn all the maps and play styles. I do a lot of squad leading but it's not easy lol I fuck up a lot lol
At 20 years in the Army, I'm definitely for coordinated gameplay and proper tacticalply. But the learning curve is a little steep, and the environment (and many players) are a little unforgiving. I tend to bow-out before learning the controls.
Your best bet is to find a few non idiots and toxic people and just play with them and grow on a few servers. You'll meet other frequent players and slowly slowly will make friends and learn. Then it becomes less learning in a toxic environment and just dealing with the toxic environment but by then you're Squad Leading occasionally and have control to an extent of that environment
Even for a flank I'm surprised by how much reckless running uphill out in the open forest you did without taking major punishment from the defensive positions there. I guess I underestimate how helpful the mortars are.
Maybe try messing with the mic input settings under audio (i think) and make sure that the microphone you want to use is your primary microphone in windows.

My last game we hopped in the Blackhawk and one team mate says "this is gonna be good I can feel it " moments later as we are attacked by an enemy helo and accurate and sustained ground fire . Everyone's freaking out in the chopper bleeding out screaming and swearing to get us on the ground , just the worst situation possible at this point . I look over to my squad lead as he's yelling at the pilot to land bleeding out himself ,and he's slowly rising from his seat and up into the rotor area of the chopper ,till half his body is engulfed by the chopper just before we crash and burn . 🤣🤣🤣🤣 was the funniest ish I've ever seen

His friendly squads are likely tied up in a stalemate on the Frontline across open terrain while he's flanking through the woods and he doesn't want his own guys getting sucked into the shootout/meatgrinder when they should be breaking contact and moving in the objective. I'll assume you being somewhat facetious but I've been daydrinking and I'm feeling chatty.

I wished more people adapted to the new hab meta. There are still many SLs refusing to adopt or create new tactics. It's just sad the Incapebelity of people to use their brain and think. :(
The sad thing? SQUAD is becoming more and more toxic. I took about 6 months break from playing and when i came back at the first mistake it felt like being in a lobby with CoD cry kids. This game doesn't deserve this but the more servers i join the more of this shit i find.. kinda putting me off the game

Just got a PC just so I could play squad and join your community! Sadly my mic isn’t working (only for squad) BUT it’s still an amazing experience!!!
