Patriotic stitching is a symbol of remembering and pride for me. Remembering those on Armed Forces Day for those currently service in our military. Remembering those on Memorial Day who gave all for our country. Remembering those on Veterans Day who served in our military. A thank you to all who answered the call, for God and Country
Hi Katie - so lovely to catch up with you and yes I am all for the green stripes on the lawn! I love patriotic stitching, even here in UK - our values for freedom are so similar :) We are fortunate that our flag colours match so we can adapt the stitching if we like and those red silks are beautiful!
Oh my goodness! I don’t know where to begin! What a terrific time watching you today, yes please on the lectures ( more of a pep talk I’d say) and love love all the history you want o give us. Katie you are such an artist, I know we all say it but seriously just so inspiring. Your projects are just pure beauty. And… you two are just adorable together, I was smiling the whole time , really enjoy when your Mom joins in! Ok, I have to stop gushing, could go on for paragraphs 😂! Thanks for a wonderful flosstube ❤❤
I love your mother. She is so adorable! I liked the striped lawn but I would prefer it with a more subtle contrast. It is rather attention seeking at present! I think late September for a Turkey release would be great for us slower stitchers. I love American patriotic because my family are half American and the US is very close to my heart. Our two countries have a shared history and will always be entwined. America is like a rose which is grafted onto an old root stock but has its own colour and scent. I would love to stitch the Cosford Rise vase of flowers with the Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes. I love flowers and the way the flags drape is beautiful. I hope that our countries will always honour and protect our special relationship. ❤
Thank you! I'm so lucky in my mother. And yes, the relationship between the US and the UK is an ever evolving, steadfast one - I think that will endure.
I’m really anxious to get stitching on my Thomas so I’m voting for September! Such a great video with your mom. I look forward to seeing your works next time.
Thanks for the shout out Katie! I loved making your needle book from summer school! Yet another fantastic and inspiring Flosstube! Can’t wait for the Christmas releases!
Oh such another lovely video. Always love seeing your WIPs and finishes too. It’s such a delight when your mom visits, such a sweetie. Patriotic stitching always makes me reflect on so many levels, how we are free, and free to do so many things others aren’t allowed to do. The men and women who lost their lives keeping us free. Freedom in so many ways it’s impossible to list. My thoughts are for Thomas is whenever you are ready to release him, that’s a good thing. Can’t wait for him and the Dove. Thanks for always sharing and I sure don’t mind any history lesson you share.
Hi Katie - enjoyed your Flosstube - look forward to your lovely dainty flower chart when it comes out ! (hopefully) and very nice to see your mom too! The striped lawn for the Flag Thief Pattern is striking and interesting but I admit I do like it! (I noticed a similarity stitching on the grass on the Margaret Ligertwood chart; the green “overdyed" threads match nicely for the greens on the lawn - I think a little hard to do with silk but worth a try for the Flag Thief Pattern . By the way, hope your mom could share her choices of silk /and Fabric for the M Ligertwood chart - that would be great! Patriotic: I love how flags fly and move on many of the cross stitch charts to demonstrate its majestic beauty .. I think this calls to every Proud American especially with the different shades of Red, White and Blue colors in each pattern. Have a great day!
Thank you! I will release Lucretia Robinson's Needlebook next year, yes. And my mom will certainly share her choices for Margaret Ligertwood but it will be a while - she's a slower stitcher than I am (she also stitches much less than I do, which is really the source of the speed differential but she always forgets to mention that!) and her new start is actually my Summer School project - I don't think she'll be on to sampler stitching before 2025 as Christmas is coming and she likes to start her gifts early...
Oh Katie, please yes September for Thomas. The turkey would be better. I’m in Canada. Our Thanksgiving is October 10 and I would really like to have that finished in my bowl for that so if possible, September would be better because I have to get it in the mail too.😊
Hi, I just love your mom! I enjoy all the Blackbird Patriotic charts. It just seems to me that we used to be so much more patriotic. In 1976 we celebrated the 200th birthday of America when I was in school. It was so exciting and fun. When I stitch patriotic charts it takes me back to a better time in this country. Love the grass!
Thank you! She's a really special person - I'm so lucky to have her. I've been researching the centennial and bicentennial celebrations as part of an upcoming project - the bicentennial had nothing on the original centennial celebrations, which were pretty amazing and produced absolutely sublime textiles. I'm not sure that we've ever been more or less patriotic, or better or worse as a nation - just perhaps less fragmented. I love history but it does tend to teach you that humans don't change very much!!!
I have stitched a couple Merry Cox and Brenda Gervais pieces that I love. It’s a bit of nostalgia and the reds and blues are very appealing. I also had a great time at Summer School.
Thanks for another delightful flosstube, so nice to see Tricia. Your casket and its WIP interior are beautiful. Tricia's tablerunner is lovely. Wishing her and hubby a happy 50th and many more joyful years together. I think it's great that you encourage stitchers not to be afraid, to just to jump in. I don't do any patriotic stitching, though I consider supporting Canadian designers as patriotic (like Jeanette Douglas and Victoria Sampler). Though I seem to be patriotic to a whole lot of countries lol. My takeaway from today's video, after seeing pics of Elizabeth, is that I'm woefully underdressed. I have no pearls or jewels running through my hair, obviously a gross oversight on my part. I will try to rectify this heinous situation immediately. Take care, and happy stitching, Arleen
As much as I swoon over the fabulous Elizabethan portraits, I can't imagine actually living like that. How did any of them move under all that weight? She must have been like a creaking automaton - the fabric alone would have weighed a ton before you added all the understructure to support it, the jewels etc...
Goodness!! All the beautiful bling! Yes, pink and red border! I’ve started Margaret Ligertwood! Love her, Tricia! So wonderful to hear more lovely memories from Summer School 💕
I should have thought that was right up your alley, except for the part where the pink and red is part of a heavy border!!!! And yes, definitely still reveling in the wonderful memories from Summer School - can't wait for January!
My first cross stitch in the late 1980’s was a patriotic (back then we called it Americana) stitch, my kitchen and pantry is filled with patriotic stitching and primitive items. I’m proud of our freedoms that come with being an American, I believe you stitch the things that make you feel something deep inside. Now because of you, I want to stitch more samplers! The stories behind the samplers are the ones I’m drawn to the most. I just started stitching again after retiring and finally finished my sampler I started in 1991. My goal is to work up to a higher count fabric and try my hand at using silks. I ran across your videos and you are giving me so much to think about, sometimes I need to watch them twice! I appreciate all your knowledge and tutorials, keep them coming please!
Thank you! And I agree - I think stitching is very personal, as we put so much of ourselves into it. Perhaps that explains both the wide variability of choices between stitchers, and how one's own tastes can evolve over your stitching journey...
Congratulations - you are the winner of the red thread pack! Please send me your mailing address using the contact form here: katie-strachan.com/contact
I am the granddaughter of a veteran, the daughter of a veteran, the wife of a veteran and the mother of a veteran. Three of these veteran’s served in combat zones and two were awarded the Bronze Star. When I think of patriotism, I think of these men and all the men and women who have served this great nation. I have been working on “Always Remember” by Plum Street Samplers. I usually take it out on Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day to remind me of the commitments and sacrifices made in the name of patriotism.
Thank you - we have asked a great deal of those who have stepped forward to serve this nation, and too often not honored the depth of that sacrifice in return.
Hi Katy, I’m so glad your mom got to join you today, that’s so fun. I enjoy stitching patriotic because it’s another reminder of just how thankful I am for living here in the US. My son served in the Marines and so every flag reminds me of his five years away from us. As for the Thomas release, my vote is end of September. I’m looking forwardto the WIP parade. 😊
Another great video and loved seeing your Mom and her tablecloth runner is beautiful. Thomas the Turkey is September please and not sure about the stripes, sorry. I may just have to see more but I am also used to grass being one color. Your casket is lovely and loved hearing the process and finishing fear. I am turning 65 in January so I am looking for that special project. We were just in Rochester this past weekend so I made a trip to Hobby House Needleworks for a conversion to silks for a Scarlet Letter chart, it’s a big one and of course it’s Scottish. The patriotic question was interesting but the Summer Swan by Brenda Gervais is one I am going to stitch. The twist is that I am going to change it to a British flag which was inspired by Periwinkle Stitcher. The reason is my Mom is from England but also it’s our heritage and as I get more mature (I made a funny) I am realizing just how much that means to us especially all the hardships and struggles my grandparents and parents went through to get where they are. But although my Mom became a US Citizen, she definitely had to overcome being a “foreigner” where we live which is unfortunate but she really showed me how to overcome challenges and be strong so that is why I want to do the chart that way. My Mom is 91, has dementia so these moments with her are extremely special and just want her to know I appreciate the journey she took so that I could be who I am today. Thank you for sharing everything.
Thank you! And the stripes have been a split decision, which is fair enough - it would also be very beautiful in just the darker green for a solid, rich block of color!
I am stitching Liberty for All (Stacy Nash) now and finding it very inspirational for the true meaning of the words. We take it for granted every day but the world is changing. Cherish each day and do your part for making it ‘liberty for all’.
Very true - at every point, great Americans have stepped forward to remind us that the republic is a living thing, and that each new generation must take up the mantle to seek a more perfect union, and continue our great experiment in self government. I think it's one of the reasons the idea of America is so compelling - the invocation to strive.
I enjoy you and your sharing. It reminds me of my mother who is no longer with me she was a crafter and painter and seemed to have some of the same talents that you have with color. I love your relationship with your mother. My favorite patriotic cross stitch is LET FREEDOM RING by Lila’s studio. I love two statements on it Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land and Let Freedom Ring because I love the fact that we live in a country that values freedom for all. No i haven’t finished it but I do have it kitted.
Thank you! Nothing wrong with kitted but not finished - I probably have more ideas noted down in my sketchbook at this very moment than I could stitch in a lifetime, and that's before I get to all the charts I have squirreled away! And I agree, freedom - not just the illusion of freedom, but the actual exercise of freedom -is one of our most precious values.
Patriotic stitching calls to me when there is a beautiful flag and possibly some ocean in the background. We live in an amazing country 🇺🇸 and a sense of humbleness as well as pride comes over me. As for the stripes- absolutely keep them. I personally might choose a more subtle difference in the greens - but they add whimsy and interest in the piece. Thank you for the inspirational nudge to stitch that bucket list piece and don’t hold back. I’m seriously going to follow that advice. Great video. Thanks so much.
Thank you! I hope you get going on your bucket list piece - one thing we're never guaranteed is time, or the health with which to do what we love. The time is now to do what you dream of
Thomas now PLEASE! I stitch on patriotic all year. I am stitching on a prairie schooler Santa with a flag, can’t remember the year. My father was a WWII veteran. I am also a direct descendant maternally and paternally of American Revolutionary War veterans. My ancestral family members were on the mayflower, two of which were names on the Plumstreet sampler piece. However, I have always been patriotic, have always had a keen love for my country, even as a child. The most powerful piece for me, and still is, is the Blackbird Abbigail Adam’s pattern. The love letters she and John exchanged sharing his belief in our new country and her support is a touching piece of history. I finished stitching this beautiful pattern and made room for my g-g-g-g-….grandfathers initials who fought in the Revolutionary War and froze….. when I put those final stitches in, I will be through with a piece I had dearly loved stitching. It has been lying in my treasure box for nearly two years. I take it out, only to put it back. I write this with tears slipping from my eyes, I know I should finish it, I guess I am emotionally gearing up for those last stitches. The 2025 Attic Summer School sounds like a dream come true. But I, like many others am not quick enough on the keyboard to get in despite all of Jean’s helpful hints. I’m not wealthy enough either, LOL, but I would swing it. I’ve been to the Attic twice, it is a beautiful shop. I’ve never been to a retreat, scared to death, could you imagine Summer School being your first retreat ever? Come to think of it, it or Sampler Symposium may have been your first, am I guessing right? I’m rambling, have no idea if I’ve answered your questions, but I bleed red, white, and blue and look forward to new kits from you. Liz, Florida.
Thank you! Yes, Summer School was my first retreat, and I was there as faculty - doubly terrifying, honestly. It was also my mother's first retreat, and I would say as an attendee it's an experience of being warmly welcomed by Jean and other stitchers, as everyone is just happy to be there and to be together stitching. It's actually no less welcoming for faculty, you just feel so much responsibility since everyone has made such an effort to be there - expense, time, logging on to send emails at 8am on the dot etc - to do your very best and to make sure it's a wonderful experience.
Hmmm. Patriotic stitching. I love the red, white and blue. My parents immigrated here after WWII, so I feel so lucky to have been born in the USA. I love my country! So far, my favorite patriotic design is Brenda Jervais’ Lady Liberty. I’m looking forward to stitching Stars & Stripes. To stripe-yes! The Thomas kit-Early October. Your Mom is so beautiful! I enjoyed her talk on Summer School. Your caskets and advice on never feeling ready for projects like that- oh, I empathize. I was putting off Tricia’s course, then life intervened and it’s now way out of my budget. I started with crewel, then Kay Stanis and metal embroidery. Nicola Jarvis for embroidery. I progressed to opus anglicanum. Then stumpwork. Just started goldwork. Sigh. Then my eyesight went. It’s taken almost a decade to resolve it. But I’m back. So never delay!
So true - we're never guaranteed time, or the health to enjoy it - but I'm so glad your eyesight is better as that is such a precious commodity for a stitcher.
Hello Katie, thank you for the inspiration and for having your lovely mother with you today. Treasure those moments. My favorite patriotic stitch is ‘Always Remember” by Plum Street Samplers. My dear father served in WW II at great sacrifice as did so very many. My mother too gave so much to her family in working full time and raising younger sibling at that time and rushing home at noon to feed them lunch and then rushing back to work. How difficult that must have been alone. I admire those of that “greatest” generation who gave so much for the freedoms we have today. And so …..Always Remember…….Be thankful and always give thanks to veterans of any war both male and female. Their sacrifices so great.
Thank you! Three of my four grandparents served in WWII (Britain had female conscription, although not in combat roles), and that left a strong impression on me from a young age - the greatest generation, indeed.
Being a baby boomer, I more so understand what a high price we have paid for our freedom. That is why I love patriotic stitching. My favorite patriotic stitch: "Salute to Abigail." What a love story! What a woman amongst women! What a beautiful stitch. I absolutely adore the strips. I'm getting a little tired of the variegated threads, and those stripes add interest! Thomas the Turkey? Stitch as soon as possible! Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving! The colors are perfect. Be still my heart.
Thank you so much! Variegated threads have never particularly called to me because I love rich, saturated, unbroken color - but to each their own. It's part of what makes our stitching community so vibrant, that we all love different things.
Oh thank you for your question!!! I’m planning to stitch as many patriotic stitches next year for the 250 year celebration in ‘26. I will be able to get some good ideas. I just won on the last episode so this is like a double win for me!! Other questions- the grass looks amazing my vote is to continue. Turkey is definitely November. I usually do a mix of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns 🎃 and scarecrows then after Halloween it’s pumpkins and turkeys. Guess it depends if you decorate for Halloween 👻, and why wouldn’t you! So many fun stitches!!!
Thank you! I admit that I don't, but that's mostly because I'm not really a seasonal stitcher, or rather, I only stitch for one season. It's funny since I go all in for Christmas, but am rarely drawn to other seasonal patterns...
I enjoyed your new casket. You’re right sometimes thinking about it too much and studying can prevent you from getting on with your project. I’m guilty of that which is why I haven’t started my punch needle. To stripe or not-I would stripe to give it more interest. Early October release. As for patriotic stitching, I enjoy the color palate of patriotic stitching while remembering the sacrifice of our forefathers and brave soldiers who fight fr our freedom. Take care!
Hmmm, stitching patriot is something that I do not do a lot of. But what draws me is the American flag and its colors…especially the red. Red is my favorite color. I like thestrips in your grass. And I do not have a date in mind on the Tom Turkey
Fair enough - I don't actually do a lot of it myself, which is part of why I asked the question. We all see different things in charts, and seek different things in our stitching - part of what makes our community so vibrant!
Yes to the striped lawn but perhaps with less contrast? Agree to get more colors in there to see if it calms down but it does seem a little circusy right now. What we stitch says so much about the stitcher. We invest so much time and focus into each piece that the design has to have substance for us. Thus, patriotic stitching means we believe in the history of our nation and what it has stood for since its birth. It’s worth investing in. I overheard a stitcher state that she couldn’t stand to stitch an American flag and just wanted to cry
I did struggle with that - unfortunately you can only work with the colors that exist and there wasn't a pair of yellow greens that worked on this ground that were closer together. Sometimes one choice precludes another - it can be one of the great frustrations, and the most rewarding challenges of color in embroidery. I think there are a lot of ways to love your country, and for some people that relationship can be quite complicated. It's possible to love America deeply, and to want it to be better. There have probably been points in our history when many or most Americans felt something similar - but it's the way that we chose to move forward with our great American experiment, together, that I think defines us.
I always love your videos…I learn so much!! I really like the striped grass in flag thief because I think it adds a lot of interest. I (like several of your other viewers) am Canadian so I would love to make flag thief with the Canadian flag - thank you for your thoughts on how to do that in your response to someone’s comment about that!!!. I unfortunately have not found any great Canadian patriotic charts - I’m always so ‘jealous’ of all the great American charts and very few can be adapted to the Canadian flag. In terms of Thomas, I would love to start stitching him in September as our Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October 😊
Thank you! I'm guilty of overlooking the date for Canadian Thanksgiving - I actually knew that (we're all hockey fans) but hadn't made the connection that Canadians would therefore need the kits earlier - mea culpa!
Oh I love it when your mother is with you showing & telling us all what she loved about Summer School too & all she loves to stitch as well!! ❤ Your Summer School Bags are GEORGOUES!!! And! Those scissors!!! I've been so tempted to buy a pair as well. Hubby keeps telling me to buy some! (I Think he wants them! 🤔 😂) Oh how funny! But honestly he loves my scissors and since I'm a quilter also he loves to sit and visit with me while in sewing looking at all my scissors ✂️ ✂️ ✂️ A girl can never have to many scissors! ✂️ ✂️✂️ And yes! He's careful. Another fabulous video Katie! 🥳🎉 Say hi to your mother & Thank you for all your videos! I really enjoy watching them! You're beyond talented Katie. You teach me so much!
Well I love the stripe myself. Adorable summer school bag. I would love to buy a sewing small bag like you got as a gift from Diane. , so cute and practical. Crystal Dove is gorgeous. Oh I gotta have that trurkey! Love seeing your Mom.
My favorite 4th of july pattern happens to be theresa kogut's Americanna sampler of which i can't remember the name of at the moment. I have not done that piece but hope to someday. I'm stitching the Betsy Ross piece this year. I love the big swatches of the red, yellow, and blue primary colors. Thats what i love about Teresa's pattern too. They just look so patriotic.
I am so excited I got to watch this as soon as it popped up! I am behind on your other videos. It was lovely to see your mom again and I’m so glad she was able to share summer school with you for another fantastic experience at the Attic. I love that you have taken your time to thoughtfully finish your casket box. Sometimes things just need to percolate before they can be completed in full. I totally have a 98% issue. When I commit to a fully finished object, I want it to be just the way I imagined and that doesn’t always work out. Congratulations on another milestone subscription, landmark, and next episode should be epic with all your wips!!!!
Can't wait to see your finished FQ casket! I love the red, and come to think of it, that teenage portrait is red and gold too. I would have said white and gold but you're so right! Trina's stitchalong casket was huge for me, as it was for so many others. I had no idea how to start! I am a total coward. 😅
White is a dominant color in her later portraits as she fully leans into the Virgin Queen, Gloriana iconography, and one a lot of people associate with her because those are quite widely reproduced, but she definitely favors red in earlier years - great for a stitched representation because it pops so much. And we're all cowards when faced with the enormity of the casket project so no judgment here. The trick is to go ahead and start anyway!
Hi Katie and Tricia, Katie your casket is very pretty. I love the red and gold on her dress. Tricia your sampler table runner is looking very nice. You are a really talented stitcher. Katie, my patriotic pattern that I had to have and someday hope to stitch is called United We Stand by Blackbird Designs. When I first saw the pattern I loved the pin pillow with the eagle on it with red, white and blue ribbon around his neck. I think it looks Victorian. My grandfather was British , born in nearly the last year of the Victorian England era and it looks to me like it will represent a part of my heritage and that is how I like to decorate my home. Have a great week. Congratulations on your 8,000 subscribers! I have to go back and watch your last weeks video then I will be all caught up.ttfn
I love your grass!! My question to you is that i live in canada and would love to do the flag thief next year. Can you do a flag conversion to the canadian flag??? I would love to do thomas the turkey but i would love my fabric in September. Im in canada and thanksgiving is earlier here.
Thank you! The colors of the Canadian flag would be included in the conversion and I think you could approximate it pretty easily with graph paper - take the charted flag, divide into three sections, and then perhaps backstitch for the maple leaf?
Thanks for the lectures. Elizabethan clothing is fantastic, as is your wip. Thank you for the encouragement to work on my casket. BTW what stitch did you use for the middle mound?
To stripe! And release Tom when you are ready. We all have plenty to do. 😅 P.S. When are we getting together and eating cake because that sounds like an amazing day 😂😂😂
I'm always willing to get out the cake at any time! The bougie grocery store near me sells the most amazing chocolate cake - chocolate with super intense chocolate fudge icing. My brother's comment is that I don't seem to like normal dessert, I have to be in a sugar induced coma to properly enjoy myself. Fair!
I love watching all that you stitch! I love your small project bag from The Woodpecker’s Daughter. Does she sell online? I can’t find any information. Thanks!
Hi Katie. LOVE your videos. Great job as always. I had a quick question, you show a dark blue leather case with tan lining holding a few 100.3’s. I was wondering where you purchased that, as I have been looking for one like it. I love that color. It doesn’t look like a Winterbury? Thanks for your help. And again a special thanks for the wonderful videos.
It's from Cuyana, their jewelry case. You can find a link to the actual product in the description for my flosstube extra on how I cross stitch - check the tutorials playlist to find it. I've had it for over two years and use it pretty much every day, I can highly recommend it - it's high quality and isn't showing any wear at all.
Beautifully put - thank you
Hi Katie - so lovely to catch up with you and yes I am all for the green stripes on the lawn! I love patriotic stitching, even here in UK - our values for freedom are so similar :) We are fortunate that our flag colours match so we can adapt the stitching if we like and those red silks are beautiful!
Thank you! And an easier design to adapt as well with the strong lines - try charting a maple leaf at small scale!!

I’m really anxious to get stitching on my Thomas so I’m voting for September! Such a great video with your mom. I look forward to seeing your works next time.
Thank you! It'll be October 1 due to unavoidable delays, but that's early-ish!
Thanks for the shout out Katie! I loved making your needle book from summer school! Yet another fantastic and inspiring Flosstube! Can’t wait for the Christmas releases!
Thank you! You did a wonderful job - I was so happy to see your finish!

News will be up on flosstube tomorrow but alas, release will be October 1 due to delays!
Hi,
I just love your mom!

@@katiestrachanembroidery Well said and I think we can safely say nothing about the 70's textiles were sublime! lol
Such wonderful memories of Summer School. Love your Mom! ❤

I have stitched a couple Merry Cox and Brenda Gervais pieces that I love. It’s a bit of nostalgia and the reds and blues are very appealing. I also had a great time at Summer School.

I love your stitching and all your bling, Katie. Regarding Thomas, I am ready to stitch when you are ready to release.
Have a super, great day.
Thank you so much!
Katie, i love the dove. Will be ordering that!! So lovely to see your mom with you again today.
Thank you so much! I'm so pleased with how it turned out!
I save your Flosstubes for my very best quiet times 😊 you are indeed an artist and inspire me to think outside of the box ! Hugs sweet girl ❤️😊✂️🧵
Thank you so much, that's so kind!
Thank you and your mother for sharing your time and experience at the Attic. ❤ Katie love your stitching , looking forward to seeing it finished.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! We truly have so much to be grateful - including the service of patriots like your son.
Ooh, the crystal dove looks wonderful! I’m very excited for the kit!
It's going to be fabulous - I love the doves!
Early October for Thomas the Turkey would be great!
You're going to get your wish there!
Take care!
I also enjoyed your mom and her table runner.
Thank you! Please do jump in and start the projects you want to do - time waits for no stitcher
Hmmm, stitching patriot is something that I do not do a lot of. But what draws me is the American flag and its colors…especially the red. Red is my favorite color. I like thestrips in your
grass.
I would love Thomas to be released earlier than later, please. Can't wait.
Say hi to your mother & Thank you for all your videos! I really enjoy watching them! You're beyond talented Katie. You teach me so much!
Thank you so much! I do highly recommend the scissors - my mom and I both love them!
Well I love the stripe myself. Adorable summer school bag. I would love to buy a sewing small bag like you got as a gift from Diane. , so cute and practical. Crystal Dove is gorgeous. Oh I gotta have that trurkey! Love seeing your Mom.
Thank you so much!! I'm leaning towards the stripe too
My favorite 4th of july pattern happens to be theresa kogut's Americanna sampler of which i can't remember the name of at the moment. I have not done that piece but hope to someday. I'm stitching the Betsy Ross piece this year. I love the big swatches of the red, yellow, and blue primary colors. Thats what i love about Teresa's pattern too. They just look so patriotic.
Teresa Kogut does wonderful patriotic charts!
Thank you Susan! I'm not sure this was percolating, just me being really, really lazy, but I'm glad to have it back out and headed towards a finish!
I don't care for the stripe look of the grass. I would choose one green shade for grass.
Lots of luscious green is always a good choice!
Thank you! That's a lovely pattern

Fair!
@@katiestrachanembroidery lol I love this so much! Sounds amazing! 😂
I love watching all that you stitch! I love your small project bag from The Woodpecker’s Daughter. Does she sell online? I can’t find any information. Thanks!
Thank you! I don't think Dyann sells her creations, but you can always check out her Instagram which is linked in the description for this episode
You both are adorable!
Thank you so much!
