My start depends on what I am stitching, however I am primarily an upper right starter. My start also depends on if I am using any sort of speciality fabric that has printing on it. For example: I am doing Lady of the Flag on the "We the People" fabric by the Primitive Hare. I have a specific vision for it, so had to do some math (read: I got frustrated and had my hubby help me b/c the math wasn't mathing for me 😄 ) Love the Peacorn start! The fabric color is fabulous--you did an amazing job! My fingers are crossed for obtaining one of the extra Advent boxes once you've ensured no postal box gremlins have interfered!
I am team upper left cross stitch start. Also I’m boxing up my fall decor and bringing out Christmas decor. I love the lights and it makes me happy, so why not! Trees will be going up this week!
My birthday is November 2 (today!) so holiday decorating doesn’t start until the day after! I like putting the tree up with just lights and a few seasonal things, but waiting for the ornaments and big decor wallop until thanksgiving is over. Love the ring ceremony, what a special thing!💜
Congratulations to you and your children, how exciting they both received their rings at the same time. Love the green you choose and I look forward to watching your progress.
I’m behind on the #GrumpySusanQAL too. I was also trying to stitch one flower a month. I need to finish September (almost finished), October, and November flowers need to be started. I’m setting aside cross stitch for a little while so I can catch up and get back on track with one flower a month. I love Fall so it stays up until the last day of November. Growing up we didn’t put a tree up until Christmas Eve. I would leave cookies, milk, and an ornament for Santa to put on the tree. The tree came down after New Year’s Day. Now, December 1st is when I put up tree and decorate for Christmas. I take everything down on January 1st.
my start preference is upper left but I do change based on the chart. I've started upper right, lower left and right, center and even a couple top middle
GIRL!!! You wear me out with all that you have going on. I ❤ the planner in you and all of your creativeness and inspiration. Please remember to breathe along the way and take care of you❤ PS…when you have some spare time😂😅😂give ice dying a try. I use powdered dyes…so much fun❤
Day after Thanksgiving. If not Center then I do Upper Left, it depends on the design. Agree the floss looked best on the fabric with the red bulb pin. 😉
Girl, we put our tree up as soon as Hallmark starts showing Christmas movies. I'm in Alabama and it was 90 degrees when the trees went up. The only decorating we have left to do is on the outside and that doesn't happen until after the Iron Bowl.
I'm usually a bottom left starter. But, I'm a eat my vegetables first kinda stitcher. If there's a large spot that might overwhelm me, I do that first. Make multiple copies of that pattern.
Love, love, love the special ring ceremony…fabulous! One of my granddaughters went to Texas A&M, and rings are a BIG DEAL there, too. Such a great reflection of a fabulous, meaningful part of life! Hang in there during these next busy weeks…I appreciate your efforts more than you know. Maybe pick a couple of days a week to be peacorn days, and the others ornament days? Wish we could get 50 hour days to get it all in!!! ❤️

I’m with you! We’re already in the spirit!
All depends on size of project. Lately it has been on top left.

That's interesting! I would have never thought about that.
I started mine in the same place. It’s such a fun stitch. Love your linen color.
Thank you 😊
Team upper left corner start. Happy stitching!
I used to be a center starter, but now I am more top left.

Thank you for your sweet comments about the ring ceremony! And, yes, I think I may try that!
❤❤❤
Is Grandma’s flower garden still going on?
Yes it is. Shellie and I are just super busy at the moment. Hoping to get some time for it soon.
Team top left..
