Katie the valentine heart is so cute 😍. I love the pull out ribbon.
Thank you so much!
Katie, that's funny that when you showed the prairie schooler with the bunny, i knew immediately that you would be in a conundrum of leaving the bunny off for sequins!
I truly am predictable!!!
Knock me out!!! 🤦🤣 It's the amazing Katie!!! YEY! 🎉🥳
I look forward to each and every SINGLE flosstube video (orientation) that you do!! 🥰🥰
Fabulous video! I'm going to stitch the Cardinals as well as the Pinkeep drum!!! Paulette Stewart is one of my all time favorite designers! Who could EVER pass them by right! There are so many fabulous designers out there! My problem is I want all the things! Lol
I'm so happy for all you do! Not only that! I'M NOW STITCHING ON 38 ct. I've always been a firm believer in myself that if I want to do something that is way beyond anything that I thought I could ever do I TRY UNTIL I MASTER IT! I'm just so happy with myself. Flag Thief by Paulette Stewart also is a winner all the way around!! Good choice Katie! I have that pattern already as well. Well, to me Christmas just has to have a newly stitched Prairie Schooler on the tree don't you think! 🤔 HOWEVER! I love the 2018 Prairie Schooler. The other Prairie Schooler pattern that you choose to do just the first line is fabulous Idea as well! Hmmm, 🤔 that's a hard choice. I'll just say that either one of those will be spectacular!
Thank you for all you do Katie! Aren't we all just super thankful for technology that we can meet people otherwise we never would have! I think about that a lot! Take care Katie. 🥳🥰
Thank you so much! And you should be proud of having made the jump to 38 count - it's very doable with good light and enough magnification, I think our own ideas about what we can and cannot do hold us back more than anything else!
Instead of leaving the bunny off perhaps a touch of beading on him or stitched in textured thread to make fluffy bunny?!
Then sequin adjacent ground for that sparkle ✨
Because the bunny has such irregular edges it's really and either/or on the sequins - you can't effectively sequin around him, they make small sequins but not that small! Still thinking about it...
Katie, I stitched Hannah Campbell house in rice stitch on 56ct linen. Not impossible and the result is fabulous!
Was your rice stitch with the cross over 2, or over 4? Because if you did all that with the base cross over 2 that is truly impressive (I mean, over 4 would be impressive too) and my hat is off to you. I can do it on 45 count but 56 seems like it'd be really hard to see the single crossing stitches!!! But I am sure the result is fabulous, it's such a wonderful stitch.
Hi Katie , it was so fun to get back to my floss tube viewing by watching this recent episode of yours! I love you mentioning your cipher and I think your idea of saving a needle from each special project is fantastic!
Your special get back into Stitching piece is so fun with the hidden message wheel!!!
I am all about hidden messages layers of meaning behind each piece you create.
Your idea to use the rice stitch as inspired by Jean is over the top genius as it really gave texture and depth to the roof of your tiny house. Everything’s coming along so nicely on that piece and I’m enjoying watching you progress as mine has been put aside for an indefinite amount of time.😂!!! it was great to visit you today and I’m sure looking forward to seeing more progress on your pieces in the future ❤
Thank you Susan! It's so lovely to see you here - thank you for taking the time, especially given how busy you have been lately. It is always a pleasure to hear from you my friend!!
I get so excited when I see a video from you on my feed. You have taught me to look outside the chart for inspiration and color change.
Thank you so much - I love to hear that! Making your own choices to make a piece your own can be so satisfying
It’s in the 90’s here so inside watching lots of videos when I saw there was a new one from you. Your heart is exquisite and love your signature on the back. The gold trim is just perfect. Look forward to the tutorial on the Sparkling Wreath, so much fun. The Christmas in July kits are lovely. The Rice stitch is exactly what the house needed and yes it does give it texture. Great progress. Love the Flag Thief. The 2016 Santa gets my vote, can you do the bunny in sparkle? Oh and definitely a small Forgotten Farm. I’ve been neglecting my 56 count projects. So many exciting things going on for Summer School, it looks like a great time. Happy Stitching
Thank you! I definitely suffered for that gold edging, but now that it's done (and my fingers are no longer bleeding) it was so worth it.
Absolutely love the embroidered heart with the bird! Exquisite! And I love the rice stitch on the roof! Great idea! And yes, I so hope I can get in Summer School 2025! My vote is for Happy Christmas for your July ornament stitch.
Thank you so much! I think a lot of the stitching world has their fingers crossed for Summer School 2025, which will be a can't miss!
Hi Katie - Looking forward to the tutorial on Stacy Nash's Wonderful LIfe Drum and the kit release on July 8th! I love everything you do - but in answer to your question on a chart to do for xmas: : Prairie Schooler 2018 Santa (like the sequin idea); and Not Forgotten Farm - Jingle all the way. Love the special bird that you stitched carefully with gold and the tape of special words rolling out (how smart is that! almost like a special fortune cookie! except you roll yours back into place!) and your special embroidery mark too! Quite an inspiration you are! Monica A.
Thank you! Sequins on the santa snowman seems to be a very popular idea!
🪡 Katie, I finally watched my first KJS video! So much to learn. I will be attending my first Attic Summer School and have 2025 on my calendar.
You're going to love it! Summer School is just wonderful
Hey Katie
...Lovely work as always! Am really thinking the Prairie Schooler Happy Christmas idea is my vote of next project. A little different stylistically for you, but am certain you will add your own very special twist to it! Whatever speaks the loudest to you I am sure will win out and we will be dazzled with all your marvelous embelishments! Blessings to you and yours!
Thank you so much! I think my problem is that they are all speaking to me, and I'm having trouble choosing!!
What a beautiful valentine you created with inspiration from the book! --and the secret message :)
My choice would be "Happy Christmas" by The Prairie Schooler. ❤
Thank you so much! I'm so pleased with how this turned out, and it was so much fun to make
Delete the bunny and add the sequins. I change Prairie Schooler up every time I stitch. Ordered my copy of Wonderful Life. Thanks for providing so much fun.
I'm leaning that way myself - I love sequins and am not ashamed! And thank you for watching!
Wowza! That valentine heart ‘just for fun’ piece is priceless…words are failing me. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see the Priaire Schooler happy Christmas top row as your next stitch. But also love the snowman bunny combo. Could it be stitched twice - once as snowman alone in a lower count and once with the Santa in a higher count? Then you add bunny in one and sparkle in the other? Have fun!
Thank you so much! It was really fun, I enjoyed myself so much with it. Stitching the PS Santa with the bunny twice has been suggested, but I finally located the other one I have with rabbits, and no snowman dilemma, so that might be the answer instead. I knew it was around here somewhere...
Flirting! Or White Christmas! All are fabulous, but those were my favorites. I loved your heart so much I realized I was holding my breath as you presented it! What an amazing piece!
Thank you so much! I really am so pleased with how it has turned out.
Katie, I so enjoy seeing and hearing about your work. I love the heart you created--so special and clever. On the Prairie Schooler Santa with the bunny, what if you made the bunny as a separate piece--like a little charm that could be attached to the ornament? Just a thought! Can't wait to see what you choose.
Thank you! An excellent idea - but I came up with another solution!
I think you should choose a Prairie Schooler Santa next! I am working on a Prairie Schooler Santa Pull on Banding (as opposed to a Bell Pull). I’m just about to start my third one. They are fun to stitch!
They are a classic stitch, always fun and comforting!
Wow!! The grass is done and your peacock is perfect. I love your adaptations. Thank you. 😊
Thank you for watching!
Great video. Your finish is another piece of art. My vote is Flirting by PSS. But honestly I love them all. lol. Thank you once again for all you share with all of us.
Thank you so much, that's so kind!
Your special project is just so stunning and special. I love the hidden message. Really looking forward to your wreath tutorial. I think it would look lovely with frosted greenery for winter.
Thank you so much! It would indeed!
Your work is superlative! Jingle All the Way!!!
Thank you so much!
As always the most beautiful stitching. I am hoping you’ll bring that twisty heart to Summer School . Those little heart flowers have me thinking about adding a heart shape for a flower. It looks like a fuchsia on my computer. Any it was all eye candy !!
I think so - trying to figure out how much I can drag along with me is always difficult, but I have my mom with me and it's small, so should be possible. And yes, very like a fuschia without the center detail - it's a lovely little touch but not too twee. Go for it!
For your July ornament I would love to see Happy Christmas by Prairie Schooler stitch in miniature or Christmas Soot Santa. (Sorry if I didn't get that name correct.) I that scroll frame is not claimed this time I would gladly love to be the recipient. 😁
Thankfully (for me at least!) the winner did come forward and it's on its way to her!
Hi Katie, I vote for Prairie Schooler Happy Christmas. That looks like fun and I am curious about your choice in ground fabric for that piece. Karen G
Ground fabric is a really good question - I probably won't start it for July because I need more time to think about that choice myself!!
Jingle All the Way 👍🏻 🌲 ❤
Your work is beautiful! I especially loved your valentine heart and I am looking forward to your next video😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you for mentioning the rice stitch. I need to give it a try. Regarding your Christmas in July stitch, I’d love to see you stitch up a nutcracker. There are many nutcracker designs on the market, and I’d love to see your special use of color on one of them. 💜
Definitely try rice stitch - it's a very simple way to add extra detail to a piece without having to tweak the chart at all. And I do have the PS Nutcrackers as my mother asked for silk conversions - it's on my list, goodness knows when I'll get around to them all!!!
Hi Katie, I would choose the plum street chart to make for your July ornament finish. I really like your cypher on your heart with a message toy new finish. It is very nice. The wrap around gold stitching is stunning. Have a great week.
Thank you! I love the gold trim, as difficult as it was...
Love the Prairie Schooler Santa/snowman. What about some sequence for the coal buttons and some beads for the scarf. You could also fun fur the white in Santa’s coat. Second choice would be the green chimney Santa. Can’t wait to see what you pick.
You can never go wrong with a Prairie Schooler Santa!
Very clever idea using rice stitch. Super effective. I would do the prairie schooler Santa and rabbit, minus the rabbit and bling it up!
Thank you! The votes are definitely to ditch the rabbit and bring on the sequins! Twist my arm...
Your valentine is so beautiful! I hope you end up doing the Prairie Schooler Santa with the rabbit. There are many projects to add sequins to, but only one rabbit!
Thank you so much! Thankfully, there are other PS Santas with very cute rabbits - I knew I had that one, I just couldn't find it before filming...
Love all your Christmas choices but the Prairie Schooler Santa and snowman talk to me. I love rabbits and would work him in a furry fiber.
Thank you! The PS Santa with the snowman is a great chart
I absolutely love the new valentine piece!! I wonder if a tablet woven edging, similar to how sweet bags were finished, would get that same look with fewer bleeding fingers? In that case, you would have a long warp and the weft would be the shorter stitches. Just a thought!
Thank you! It was so satisfying to work. There would be a lot of ways of creating an edging for this, but ultimately it would only hug the edge like this if you warp it on the object, shaped to it (so the short warps, as you wouldn't be able to control a long warp without folding and creasing) and then weave directly on it. It was an interesting experiment, just not one I'm dying to repeat...
If you like the little rabbit with the snowman, stitch that Prairie Schooler twice-once with the rabbit and once with the bling. One can be an ornament, and the other one can be finished as a flat fold or a pillow for a dough bowl. More Christmas enjoyment!
An excellent idea! The rabbit is really cute
Im torn between prairie schooler happy Christmas and not forgotten farm. I love your videos and when this one popped up i was in the pool. I just lounged on my jet plane and watched your video!!
That sounds like a perfect afternoon! It's so hard to choose between the charts when they're all so good...
Another video - what fun! Thank you! My vote is the Chimney Soot Santa but don’t make him too small!
Yes, I think he'd be best stitched on 38 count so that the detail doesn't disappear entirely, much as I love teeny ornaments!
I love when you are excited about your work.great floss tube
Thank you! I really do love stitching and I think it shows!
Love your Valentine heart so cool beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Absolutely mind blowing 🥰❤️
Thank you so much!
Katie, I say absolutely go for the sequins!
Never a bad decision! Sparkle is always the right choice
That bird in the heart with the heart flowers 💕💕💕
It ticks all your boxes! Bird, pink - in addition to the pinks used in the embroidery the ground fabric is actually a pale pink satin, I'm not sure if that really showed here with all the light, tends to really blow color out...
Do you do one over one on linen? Your stitching is gorgeous
Only when called for - most of my stitching is one strand over two threads.
Lovely stitching.
I know the Cardinal is a repeat offer.
What about Its a Wonderful Life? Has it been on your site before?
Thank you! Wonderful Life pinkeep drum is a new kit that won't be offered again after the July release. You'll have seen it here before because I stitched it in January/February and showed it at the time, but this is the only release of the kit.
@@katiestrachanembroidery thank you. I can’t wait to order a kit
I vote for Jingle All the Way 🎄
A fabulous chart!
Wow the Hearts are beautiful
Thank you so much!
love all the gold
Isn't it glorious?!!?
Love the sparkly wreath around the drum and the dish it's served on!! Thank you for the tutorial - I'm going to find it right now :)
Thank you! But the tutorial isn't up yet - July 2nd, the week before the kit release!
Katie,
Your idea of relaxing stitching is very different than mine 😂. The heart with message toy is another stunner of yours !!!
I love Chimney Sweep Santa , he would make an adorable small!
Another wonderful FlossTube, thank you !
In fairness, I said it was fun - not relaxing! I love having a creative challenge to sink my teeth into and challenge me. Although in fairness it is totally true that my idea of relaxation is different from most peoples'...
Wow! Everything you stitch, everything you finish, is simply gorgeous!!! I enjoy you so much. So knowledgeable on so many things, no wonder you ad Jean get along so well with. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us!!
Thank you so much, that is so kind of you!
Yay, Katie TV! I've completed the Prairie Schooler with the snowman. It was a fun stitch. I included the rabbit but I knew you would want the blingification 😊 when you held it up. Go for it!
Apparently I can't resist the siren call of the bling and everyone knows it!!
What a wonderful video! You can’t go wrong with any of the ornament possibilities you showed for July but one of my favorites is the 2016 PS Santa! Whatever you decide to make will be lovely!
Thank you so much! The 2016 Santa is wonderful
It’s me again. Katie you finished the grass!!! That is wonderful and so beautiful! The animals pop. Love it!!💕
Thank you! I'm really proud - I hate block stitching and it really does look great, such a lovely design
Katie, that valentine with the hidden message is so cool! Your work is stunning, and I always enjoy watching and seeing your beautiful stitching!
Thank you so much! I had a great time making it!
Katie , thank you for a fantastic video. Love the hearts, so clever. The sparkling is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Happy stitching.
Thank you for watching!
I surely love your wonderful creativity!! You always inspire me… I signed up for the Valentine class and can’t wait to try it. 🩵
Thank you! You're going to love the Valentine - it is just a wonderful project, and such a unique finish!
Hi Katie - another 36:23 spectacular video with loads of fun stuff and information. I loved seeing your new items!
Thank you so much!
Thanks, Katie. Absolutely stunning work ! ❤
Thank you so much!
Katie, your Valentine is stunning! A lot of work went into to designing and stitching that piece.💖
Thank you! It was so much fun though, I really enjoyed myself with this piece!
What a gorgeous piece of work amazing piece ❤ love the idea of doing a casket too do you tutorial on how to put together? 😊 beautiful finish durm, lovely stitching, jingle all the way pattern 😊😊
A casket is well beyond the scope of a tutorial, but Tricia has many hours of step by step finishing videos that she offers as part of the casket purchase from Thistle Threads.
@@katiestrachanembroidery thank you 😊
White Christmas and Flirting!
Both fabulous charts!
