I have a feeling that may be Ross' plan. Stick it out one more year, let some cap come down, don't do anything too drastic this offseason and ride it out for next offseason to be the "go year". Either that or Ross is just insane and has no idea what he's doing (probably more likely of the two).
I don't even know if I want NFL ticket next season. Have been a fan as long as I can remember. One of my first Dolphin memories was the the 1985 Superbowl and living in Miami. There was another kid in my 3rd grade class who wore a 49ers jersey after the Superbowl, that I got into a fight with when he was bragging about his team beating Marino and the Dolphins. I thought then, oh you just watch, with Marino we will be back at the Superbowl to get another chance to win. How wrong I was, and every year since it continues to be the same. It is sad I just want at least a playoff win now, that my exspectations for the team is so low now.
Same here. I lost my lunch money (thankfully it made me hate gambling) betting a friend on the 1982 Dolphins against the Redskins. When Marino lost after the 84 season we all thought he'd be back many times. I feel your pain. It's sickening to watch this team, but my loyality to this crappy owner is almost on empty. Don't know if I want NFL sunday ticket either. This year was a dissapointment and with Tua back, it's going to be the same hot grabage. He can't last a whole season. Wish he would retire. Even whne he played this year, other teams figured us out and we were pathetic. Pure crap.
I don't think I ever realised the draft tiebreakers were strength of schedule, rather than just the league record and usual playoff tiebreakers. Would make more sense to me if they used the latter but there you go!
I believe Tyreek Hill's last play was the Smith Fumble in the 3rd Quarter with 10:40 left. Go to the 3rd Quarter 2:35 left, when they are reviewing Washington's Catch, you can hear Waddle asking "Cheetah are you done?"

What i love most is that status quo thing stephen ross. They dont wanna keep with the status quo. Yet here we are literally keeping the status quo. I think at the absolute minimum, play calling duties need to be taken from McDaniel AT MINIMUM. Year 3 and hes still having the time management issues because he's too busy trying to read convoluted play calls to run a screen pass 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

I had to go to a sports bar to watch them go 1-15 in 2007. They won their last game and I was on cloud nine. I will die with the Orange and Teal. Dolphins for life brother.
I think the important thing about the 'cap savings' that many people don't get, is that you're only saving something if the player you replace that player with is _better_ than the player you lost for _less than the amount you 'save'_ .The 'savings' figure doesnt take into account the loss of the player from the roster.
Great video! Clear headed and I really appreciate it. Nice breakdown on the contracts. I agree that I don't hold much hope for the change Ross suggested. Looks like 2025 is going to be a lame duck year for our GM, coach and QB.
Honest and Frank assessment of the state of the team. You hit all the issues and I sense by your tone, you do not see a shift in management philosophy. I want to have hope for 2026, but past performance is the best predictor for future actions. Too many injury prone players, poor offensive line play, and Tuas short comings. Hard to ride or die with this regime. I love the Dolphins, but I cannot stick my head in the sand and have false hope. Let’s hope 2027 brings hope and a fresh approach 🐬🐬🐬🐬

Steven Ross made it know in that statement that the cooperation between McDaniel and Grier is great. When I hear the I hear package deal. If they fail they are both gone quick.
Doug totally agree with what you said in the last video. I have supported this team for 37 years and I'm sick to my stomach. Next year will be a carbon copy or worse this year guaranteed. Also Hill quitting in the last game is disgusting especially as a Captain! Love your show keep you chin up. We will win a championship somewhere in the future. The odds are in our favour. 🤞
Well after tyreek and a lot of the veterans comments and contracts might be time to go a lot younger in the secondary receiving room pass rush and oline in almost all positions I would rather draft but cheap solid vets would also be nice to compliment them
After losing to that trash team, the New York Jets and not making the playoffs again I am pleased to hear that the Miami Dolphins organization will be making no changes pertaining to GM and coaching staff. Go Bills !!
Doug, we need to fast and pray for our Dolphins. I had seen this for forty plus years. Yes, some think it fits the insanity mode, but you know what, Doug, if and when they finally win the championship and the super-bowl it will be such an epic event that it will be the most memorable moment for me and my family. So I would leave it alone. Grier, McDaniel and players are all human and they will work things out. So pipe down and continue to have faith because when its our turn, you will cherish every moment and no one can take it away from you. Mr. Ross, GM Grier, and Coach McDaniel will come through, so stop throwing them under the bus!
I been a Dolphins fan since 1971 ,I was 6 years old my dad took me to the orange bowl to see the Dolphins 🐬 swimming in the pool. I started a podcast this year followed them all these years. This team Wasted Dan Marino career of winning 2 or more Super Bowl history of this team is lack of accountability and leadership and it’s starts with the Coaches.
I was 7 years old when I watched the Dolphins win the Super Bowl in 1972 with my family in Michigan. That was the first time I became interested in football and became a Dolphins fan for life, much to the chagrin of my father. While I'm still a fan, this organization's incompetence makes it hard to get excited about next year. I don't trust Tua to be healthy for a full season nor to succeed against winning teams or in cold weather. McDaniel? He's a smoke-and-mirrors head coach. The "break dancers" label fits, unfortunately.
There isn't a Miami Dolphins fan who can blame any other fan for being finished. Especially if you're young because you don't know what it is to root for a winner. I at least got to see five Super Bowls. But, if you were born in the past 40-45 years you're screwed. This team has been a clown show.

Little over a year ago it felt like the Fins and Lions were at similar points in their rebuilds...- now, we're out of the playoffs and they're the #1 seed.
Do the film breakdown i still enjoy watching it we need an andy dalton or joe flaco back up fir when tua gets hurt next season and we need to fortify that o line
So the end of another season. Hope they are focusing on who stays and who goes, staff and players. Hill is ready to move on...Good. Do not need his personnel life to keep the press busy. Tired of not being competitive. Hope we are smarter in draft and free agency.
The fact that so many of us dolphins fans (not me though) give Tua a pass for losing every big game of his career, but keep trashing Tyreek for doing it some of the time (while being the engine that drives the offense) is indicative of the problem. Delulu Pro Max. When Hill is gone, so is our ability to average 20+ ppg.
The Lions, Vikings and Rams are proof you can win with immobile QBs. Even the Niners made it to the SB with Brock Purdy. You need an excellent O-Line and a consistent and solid running game. Miami’s defense is actually pretty good. The only thing they lack is a pass rush. J Phillips coming back will definitely help and Chubb will be back next year too. Add those two with Chop and you have a scary edge rush. They need to trade Tyreek for an O-lineman and sign a replacement safety in FA. Go heavy on O or D lineman in the draft, and try to find a gem at WR later in the draft. As far as re-signings go, I would want Dodson and Kohu. Only thing that might be an issue is back up QB, but we’ve seen that it really doesn’t matter who is back there if it isn’t Tua
When you have any "free" time, can you make a sort of highlight reel focusing on the tight ends. I'm still puzzle why Josh was hating on Mr Gritty. I know he wasn't a decent blocker, but it didn't seem like those "excellent" blocking TEs were even capable of chip blocking. Josh is just Adam Gase 2.0
After this season need a break from debacle of season as far as I'm concerned my football season over no new is good new I'll listen back around the draft mayb
Where to now? Same place as the last half a century.. Ross won't get it until his team plays in an empty stadium. Fans too conditioned to mediocracy for that to happen, though.
Best thing the fins can do is fire everyone, trade away the vets to save money and get a few extra picks. Let the new gm and coach keep the young players they like to rebuild with and trade away the ones you can for picks. Give tua a big bonus (take away from guaranteed money from future yrs) so when you cut or trade him the hit isn't so big on the rebuild yrs. Try to take up as much of the hit this yr so the next aren't that bad. I'm a bucs fan the bucs where really bad over the cap because the yrs before kicking the can. Last yr we took all the dead cap hit at once instead of spreading it out and now we are in a good position cap wise...
I really think Miami fans needs to protest on this ownership. This team isn’t aggressive, players don’t care about the team other their own extensions and max multi year contracts. And having Miami as a main destination cause of the tax and how beautiful the area is that’s all I guess it’s worth and not trying to bringing a championship team here. We have no passion anywhere
If they trade hill, what do you think we can get for him? I love hill and what he brings but if he doesn’t want to be here then move on. Get picks and maybe sign tee Higgins perhaps?
This is a prime example of: why put much concern into a profitable team? If you keep buying tickets, merchandise, streaming subscriptions and show support. There is no need to put an elite product on the field. This is exactly what this owner does. At the end of the day it’s a business and if business is good why change?
This off-season is the key. Draft picks, free agency, etc BUILD THE TRENCHES ON BOTH SIDES!!!! WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE WR'S OR RB'S!!!! ALSO, MAYBE TUA NEEDS TO START THOWING WITH HIS NATURAL THROWING ARM THIS OFF-SEASON!!!!
It’s fucking insane that the guy is in the NFL and is throwing with his off arm. Imagine if he starts throwing with his natural throwing arm and is launching 70 yard throws. I’d be pissed.
@TheArtistFKApingaso3687 Daddy needs to go back to hawaii and get a job!!! Tua needs to spend his time with ONLY his wife and kid! That will keep him humble, only depending on his wife and kid for support! NO MORE CELEBRATING AND DANCING!!!
Dolphins will never be that bad we get arch manning be realistic 😂 Tua is here to stay and im fine with that just needs to stop scrambling and stay healthy
You should it's much better over here..... Win a playoff game,a SB make championship games here and there..... I always have a better football season then my friends who like the fins and longer season.... Delulu Pro Max. When Hill is gone, so is our ability to average 20+ ppg.
FIRE GRIER!!
I know what will fix this team! We need to draft a pash rusher! 🤣
Weaver interviewing for the bears coaching job
I have no expectations 😂🍺
Rizzy our old special teams coach would like to see him back
When you have any "free" time, can you make a sort of highlight reel focusing on the tight ends. I'm still puzzle why Josh was hating on Mr Gritty. I know he wasn't a decent blocker, but it didn't seem like those "excellent" blocking TEs were even capable of chip blocking. Josh is just Adam Gase 2.0
I think the 2024 draft class was a big part of saving Griers job
After this season need a break from debacle of season as far as I'm concerned my football season over no new is good new I'll listen back around the draft mayb
ROSS statement said compete for championships where has he been 😅
Here we are again..
On Hill i will never never trade him or no one
I been saying all along next year is all the outs
We need to make changes in the front office and in the coaching staff
We all wish that.
Hill and Tua contracts hurt us on that cap space
Where to now?
Same place as the last half a century.. Ross won't get it until his team plays in an empty stadium.
Fans too conditioned to mediocracy for that to happen, though.
Everybody ready for another mediocre, disappointing year? Me too, LET'S GOOOOO!!!!!

Slogan
“ Insanity” running it back and expecting different results
Nothing will change. Expecting different is the definition of insanity
I'm soooo glad Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel have such a great working relationship
@@ModleskyAutoDetailing Yea, in mediocrity
Where we go from here, one place downhill faster than we thought period.
Doug is it true Ramsey wants out to??? Just saw it on a feed ???
This off-season is the key. Draft picks, free agency, etc
BUILD THE TRENCHES ON BOTH SIDES!!!!
If bringing these guys back means we'll finish with the worst record and draft Arch Manning the following year, i'm onboard
Dolphins will never be that bad we get arch manning be realistic 😂 Tua is here to stay and im fine with that just needs to stop scrambling and stay healthy
I completely understand Grier being fired but I don’t get the short leash on McDaniel
Magic Mike has taken to the “Miami Lifestyle” a little too much and has forgotten that he’s the head coach of an NFL team not the mascot.
It's okay doug, you're human
Fins up!
Rooting for the Bucs from now on, until we fix everything in Miami
I might do the same
You should it's much better over here..... Win a playoff game,a SB make championship games here and there..... I always have a better football season then my friends who like the fins and longer season.... Plus we beat you guys when we play against each other.and we have a ship and cannons you guys have fins up so we know where to shoot the cannons at ....,🤣🤣🤣🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
@@AkademikBurner-v8p so you think me being a Bucs fan is Probally better then the dolphins rn be honest with me?
@@bryangonzalez4604 yessssss... You could say you haven't won a playoff game in a yr not 34 yrs...yikes you could say you went to championship game 4 times this century to 0. Or you could actually say you saw your team win a SB in your life time. People will forget when you switch over. It's so much better here. We got cannons to shoot dolphins and everything. You seen the choice Brady made, be middle franchise or be at the bottom with the browns. Make the right choice you see your owner is not...
@@bryangonzalez4604 oh I forgot the colors who the hell wants to wear dolphins colors. You don't own nothing those colors besides fins gear, because even you know it's nasty work. Not even a college team out the 5k schools no one wants those colors or mascot. They rather have 4 tiger teams in college then one named the dolphins.
