Tom👍👍 Always good to see you in Cimbrer Camp and little Cornelius too. Too bad no fire making this time but I understand as we were in a drought for for many months, finally had a week of storms with rain, hail, tornadoes and 100mph winds, now back to drought conditions and it's 100+ degrees. The desert southwest is unrelenting, hot and dry. The little container is very cool and yes it's old school. Even without the customary Cimbrer coffee, a nice horn full of brew and a 😉 mini kuksa of whisky make for a good day. Thanks for the video of Yxengaard too. Great video, well done and enjoyable. I have been cooking on my Arinn Fire Bowl every day for a month or so. I like how I can cook using very little wood. I have been using mostly dead twigs that fall off oak and pecan trees. They don't catch fire as easily as split wood, but still get the job done.

Great video Tom. I enjoyed the black and white slideshow very much. Here in Nova Scotia we just got through a complete fire/woods ban, it was so dry you weren't even allowed to go into the woods. this has been followed by 12 days of steady rain returning things to normal. Hope the rain makes it your way!

We too have been very dry and I couldn't have a fire for weeks....but rain came and the growers are so happy! I have cooked out in celebration! I hope your country gets the rain it needs soon.....and as always, great project!

Good thing you talked about the risks of forest fires, as you may know, my country had floods followed by forest fires and yesterday night we finally had a rain shower with lots of thunder, hopefully, the rain will help to put out some of the fires that were still out of control. Nice to see all the things you can make with simple tools. Thanks for this relaxing video. I spent most of my time recovering. It still hurts a lot in my skull and rib cage and my bicycle is going to rest for quite a while. I kind of loose track of time and experience memory lost. I will get better as I come through this ordeal. 🦊🌲🐢🍁⚜🦉

@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag We had thunderstorms again last evening ad rain this morning. That should help a lot to reduce these fire. Our area has been spared and we didn't have too much smoke either. I'm recovering slowly, it been just over 3 weeks. I can move my arms normally yet I can't use my strenght for a while. 🐉⚡

Your fotos of Yxengaard are amazing! The black & white makes them seem timeless. Good shots of details and characteristic faces!
Last weekend I was at the Knights Games in Ortenburg, as you can see at my account picture. So much viking stuff! You would love it. Several larger camps with viking tents like yours, reenactment, blacksmithing, wood and leather crafting, bbq, authetic cloths and some bearded, tattoed viking warriors with full battle dress, axes, shields, helmets, war paint and so on.

Hej from Sweden. Here too, no rain since winter, and temperatures here in Jamtlands are reaching the 40Cs. I garden and am having to hand haul water to the vegetable beds, and shade cover the plants or the heat kills them. Not expecting rain anytime soon.

I came with you again tom. It took me awhile to watch this as it was seventeen hours ago. I watched you make the little bowl for Cornelius and I watched the videos of the other people making things of viking origin.I'll pray for you to get some rain. Where do you live ? I forgot. It's nice to see Cornelius again . He is a good companion for you when your out camping alone . I enjoyed this video very much. Thanks for sharing. I will pray for rain for your country.

What a great video as always! I thought the little container you made was so cool, and I’ll definitely try it out. I think it would be perfect for an offering bowl for me to leave offerings outside for the land spirits. I’m just about done with my first lamp following your diy instructions. The black and white photos were lovely. I really enjoyed seeing the one woman fighting with her shield. That was cool. You’re very talented. I’ll definitely give your friend’s channel a try.
