    Considering how the the economy is, we do need alternatives so that there is healthy competition, currently Toyota and Ford are too areogant with their pricing

      Alternatives are good, but the segment leaders are still managing to move metal, so the pricing can't be that off the mark.

    great looking bakkie for what it is. i absolutely think the buyer is getting more than their monies worth, considering that the popular brands are now starting at R1mil.
    i think the proportions are great, it seems slightly smaller than the hilux and ranger body panel wise, which i actually find refreshing as i feel the newer bakkies are becoming too big for everyday use and especially for town driving.

    It has recently launched in Pakistan with more features than a Toyota Revo or Isuzu in low price. But it is not reliable, the front side masculine but back side is just like the old pickup trucks. Revo looks more clean and back design is also good. It don't have paddle shifters ig and it has less horse power and torque than Toyota Revo but it has sunroof and electronic gear so it depends on you. I think revo is far better than this but its quite expensive

    Worth a look, but for R600k you could get a very good 2nd hand bakkie like Toyota or Isuzu. And what about resale value?!

    • @sadikiesadiki7711

      why go for second hand while you can get a brand new car with 100% warranty and peace of mind?

    • @liamferreira8912

      Yeah Chinese vehicles tank hard on the resale value, for even cheaper you can get yourself the worst of the tin cans, the GWM P-series at around R400K

    • @travelmates1

      @sadikiesadiki7711 Because if you buy a Hilux or DMax, you'll sell it for more money than you paid for it after a few years of ownership. While the Chinese vehicles have very rough depreciation, and you'll loose lots of money. Lets not even talk about reliability and longevity, where the Chinese vehicles are substandard.

    • @sadikiesadiki7711

      @@travelmates1 yes i agree if with you if the point is to sell it, but if the point is to keep it then you don't loose anything, you even have longer warranty like 10 years/ 1 million Km from Chery
      also remember the likes of Toyota are a high risk of being stolen but Chinese cars are not, they come with peace of mind.
      as for reliability lets give them chance to prove themselves, its too soon to assume they are not reliable, unless you have evidence of your claim

    • @stefanburger07

      Don't underestimate momentum. Chinese cars are being adopted at a crazy rate / this will boost the secondhand (resale) value over time

    I'm not so sure about these Chinese manufactured vehicles, the poor quality of the materials used, the poor build quality, the old tech in new wrapping paper.
    JAC partnered with with VW to build EVs, so no imput on their ICE, JAC partnered with Huawei but still give you a shit infotainment software.
    And then there's the biggest issue of all, RUST! One sniff of the ocean and these things rust to pieces. I've seen it with my own eyes too many times.

It also features leading internal wax injection technology, which effectively enhances the vehicle's rust and corrosion resistance." Best to contact a dealer and ask the question though.
