Near as I can tell, there are 2 main strats for 5D Diplomacy. You have the "Shotgun Guerillas" strat, where you split off multiple timelines and try to claim different supply points in each. This is the strat Chamber used, and allowed him to collect lots of victory points even though he never held a significant portion if the map. Then you have the "Terminator" strat, where you focus hard on one timeline, and continually bring in new units from the past, future, and parallel timelines to win it the classic Diplomacy way. This is the strat Maivi used, and though it's far more clever and requires more creative use of time travel, didn't quite turn out well for her.
The thing with the former strat is that while it requires actively managing many timelines at once, each one of those involves very few units per board; potentially, someone could pull it off with a single fleet and army, given luck. Conversely, the latter strat only focuses on a single (or very few) timelines at once, but demands the management of a large number of units as well as considering the logistics of getting them there from other, sort of "feeder" timelines.
Can I just say, the editing for this video's intro is INCREDIBLY high quality? If it was Chamber who did the editing, incredible job! They deserve a raise. If it was Valefisk who did the editing, incredible job! Chamber deserves a raise.
There’s a ton of evidence that they played some of it. Whether he actually covers it with a video is up in the air, because apparently it went unironically awful.
I know that the CNA video has been memed on and everything, but this was the one I was waiting for more. This was the big video for me. I was vibrating the entire time watching this video, it was amazing. I might cry.
The most terrifying part of this whole scenario is the idea of multiple Valefisks across multiple universes forcing their friends into infinite twisted games
At that point, it would be much more easier and faster to invent your own time machine and go back in time to take part in the actual campaign for North Africa.
I'm pretty sure 5D CNA would take like multiple human lifetimes for one full game. We wouldn't even know if humanity will survive long enough to finish the game.
I have like 4 total friends who all don't know each other, so I only ever play games with them one on one, and every time I watch a Valefisk video, I realise that the world is protecting more people, because I'd have a group of people play this without making content on it, just pure suffering because it seems funny, my friends clearly don't realise how lucky they are to be busy Also the Defcon style visuals at the intro were super cool

Interesting how in this mode, it turns into a completely opposite situation from normal Diplomacy. The central powers, thanks to have the ability to go in multiple directions through each timeline, have a distinct advantage over everyone else. It is far easier for them to spread out and take new territories in one timeline, while abandoning the same territories in another timeline. Then realize that Vale's biggest achievement is that, for some reason he has friends that don't say no.
