The piercing red eyes coming at you from a distance in the ocean was terrifying. This theme starts and you're aggressively chased and stalked like Jaws. One of the many incredible moments of this game
I really liked this machine, from its design to its combat mechanics... one of the easier large machine fights for me, but probably my favorite machine of them all
Fun fact : the dev team of Horizon r a big fans of Monster Hunter and also Metal Gear too as well. And most the robot bosses r base or inspired by Monsters of every Monster Hunter game.
I always feel bad fighting these. Plesiosaurs were always my favorite as a kid, damn it! It’s too majestic to kill! I remember the “Walking With Dinosaurs” miniseries as a kid, Cryptoclidus darting through schools of fish, it was beautiful. I always wanted the Loch Ness Monster to be real because I hated the idea that they had all died out. And now you’re making me kill them just to upgrade my gear…
I remember when i’m swimming around the river or sea to find the side quest location I accidentally encounter tideripper and I was wait i need to find the nearest island to kill it i swim fast as i can to reach the island
I really don't understand why they didn't include combat songs in the official soundtrack that came with the deluxe edition. You pay extra money and you're missing out on bangers like these.

I really like how they give such a unique theme for each special big machine like tideripper and slaughterspine. It makes the battle so much more fun
The fun wears off when you have to kill x amount of Tideripper or Slaughterspine when grinding the Legendary gear 😕
