Visual representations of progression are what I'm here for. I remember growing up playing games that didn't have any customization and getting upgraded gear that actually changed how you look, it made me feel so damn cool. I love that stuff and want to see more of it.

Jake, I agree with you about A Plague Tale. I love those games to death and I still think about Requiem even to this date, but I don't feel the need of a third game because the story ended perfectly in my opinion. There is no other game that made me completely more emotional than Requiem.

The PlayStation portal has boggled my mind since it was being reported on through leaks. No cloud gaming or Bluetooth is so egregious. 200$ for a remote play device is such a chunk of money especially when a backbone cost 100$. Great video as always Jake, your dog is so cute!

That would mean either: 1) the console itself is anywhere between $100-300 more expensive since it carries a stronger GPU; or 2) the dock functions as an external GPU, and would be $100-300 instead of being included. In my opinion, option 2 is better. They can make a Switch 2, which comes with an updated version of the old GPU, and works with the Super Dock & is backwards compatible with the regular dock. That way there is the option to get a Switch 2 first, and later get the Super Dock when you can afford it. And they can still offer a combo package like they tend to do.

Hey, congrats! I am married to a non-gamer, and the most important thing is having the self-awareness to balance your time properly. Sometimes I’ll put my game down and realize that specific time is better spent with my wife, even if we’re not doing anything special. Also, communicate in advance when you’re planning to go wild on a new game. My wife will never play Starfield but she knows when it comes out and that I’m going to be unavailable for a weekend! As with all things in a relationship, balance and communication are key. You’ll have a little less time to game, but that’s a great thing because the other moments will be filled with all the great stuff a good marriage has to offer.

Yeah. People who says modern gaming is dead, they are not playing anything other than the ones they’re already playing. They are caught up in live service games. Gaming is at its peak in 2023. So many new and great games. I can’t even fit all in my schedules. Single player games are thriving and will continue to grow and carry the entire gaming industry.

The Portal is probably the reason why Vita remote play isn’t compatible with the PS5. It’s an easy $200+ they could squeeze out of the consumers.
