Love and greetings from Germany. As a graduated biologist and gardener I am grateful for all this valuable information. Every living beeing has electricity.
I am so grateful for your work! May you be blessed with health and wealth. It changed my work and my life. It is challenging to apply it all in the desert here where I work as a permaculture designer and consultant. Thank you both ❤ from the desert of Dubai. Martin
Would you and Tom please make a video showing the use of the Refractometer? Probably you will also show how to raise the Brix number. I know one way is to use your GSR calcium, but what are the other way farmers/gardener's can get the numbers up?? These series with Tom is really really great. You two guys have a great way of communicating! There is always talk about using a Refractometer and the need to get the number up, but very little information about the procedure to raise the number. Thanks Glen and Tom for you video series.
I was taught an ideal soil mineral profile ratio is 20 parts Ca, 8 P, 2 Mg, K, and S, 0.4 NO3 and NH4, 5 % C, and the trace elements. Is this close to your experiences? Non-toxic farmers have always been heroes. Thanks for the videos. Have you ever read Tuning Into Nature by Callahan another Floridian? He describes plant and insect communication. Take care.
Thank you for the useful information provided, much appreciated.I have 2 Johnson Su bioreactors,of 1 and 5 months old.The conductivity at 1 month old is 0.1 , but the other at 5 months is at a whopping 2.3.Measured a few months ago it was 0.7.The materials used for composting are almost the same, the EC meter is the same as in your video.I tend to believe it is a good thing, because the growth is caused by the increasing biomass of microbes. What are your thoughts about this? Greetings from Romania.
Thanks for the information and entertainment. I do have a question…I bought a groline ec meter recently. Is it important to calibrate the meter? It says you need to purchase some type of calibration fluid. I literally just read the instructions this morning. Also, does the amount of soil moisture make a difference in the readings? Just curious on your thoughts, thank you
Great great content as always, always looking and looking forward for you spitting out great facts and arts of agronomy. BTW, is chlorophyll meter more preferable than brixing to measure photosynthetic engine since chlorophyll meter is much faster to make?
So you answered the question of what to do if ec is low. What do you do if it is too high and you have not applied NPK fertilizer? With the low condition, would adding compost tea with extra sugar and calcium be the best answer?
Can sugar be added to soil to increase the microbiome ? I listened to another video about how sugar helps. Is that a treatment of sorts? I was thinking of amending my yard with soil with sugar and other minerals.
Stop using inorganic fertilizers, add good quality compost or compost tea, plant plenty of different plants, chop and drop your leaves and grass, it will revover
@@MIRSTROY I’m sry, but that doesn’t directly answer my question and I’m on this channel b/c I’m trying to learn about alternative methods to synthetic and chemical farming. I’ve inherited land and the methods used prior were not in my control. Is the protocol the same or is there another to recover if my EC is greater than 1200 or 1.2, depending on the meter used?
My current understanding is that Zeolite will absorb sodium like a sponge. Depending on how much land you are working with this may be a good first step. After that get the microbial life boosted with sugar and/or bio iniculants

Two of you are full of wit, and I am enjoying it. Great video.

Great information for my electroculture experiment. Thanks soo much! Sounds like I'm right where I need to be with 0.7volts

Yes, u need to calibrate as per instructions

Are these conversations available in a podcast?
So you answered the question of what to do if ec is low. What do you do if it is too high and you have not applied NPK fertilizer?
With the low condition, would adding compost tea with extra sugar and calcium be the best answer?
It can only be too high if there is inorganic salts. Dont add any more npk.
Thanks for continuous explanation/and/consistency minutes ago. Dennis
Keep going. Thank you so much.Dennis
So interesting thankyou

Yes Jaggery..... It increases microbial activist...
I have a lot of conventional farmers . Where do I start to convince them? Any books? For my own sake?
The soil food web school by dr elaine ingham is a complete course and much more in depth
LBS of sugar per an acer per a year? or
Gallons of molasses per an acer per a year?
I better get my jumper cable out so I can kick-start my raised garden beds...lol
You almost explaining electronics now. Dennis usn electronics technician in past life
