The scary thing is there wouldn’t be a “rotten egg smell” at all. You’d just keep walking into it until you fall over and die. That’s why miner’s used canaries - they’d die far faster than we would and let miners know when to turn around and do a burn.
Oooo! That'd be a fun story. Burked Canary zombies take revenge on mining towns and corporations all over the world! That story wouldn't have nuthin' on Hitchcock's Birds!
In the woods, there is an open area, and in the center a fire crackles. Encircling it sat some random chairs, and a couple of logs to sit on. Be welcome, sit and rest. The only payment is a story...
I'm a Canadian too and thoroughly appreciate Jordan. Luv the way he narrates. Keeps me interested. Some narrators my mind can wander.. but not with Jordan.

Newfoundland I had a friend with a huge dog from there. Outside that 🤷♀️ idk I’m always scared of old creepy desolate places like my hometown. I mean like it’s ppl there but it’s lame. I know that’s very ungrateful of me because my family bought their freedom and they bought the land they were slaves on. I say it’s lame because it’s really haunted. The slave graveyard is haunted we go to pay tribute to them but it’s scary at night. I get scared because when we go there to lay a loved one to rest you can see the fresh grave from the house. I see how beautiful the town of Cullen is and I think how can something so evil as slavery happen here on our Tobacco farm. I’m always looking for our kin amongst the placards. And the other side of my family is a whole story., stay out of small abandoned towns they’re abandoned for a good reason. Cullen Virginia and holly hills NC stay away.,

Some idiotic part of me may want to explore abandoned towns but why would you want to go to one where the coal mine has been on fire for years? I’ve read about Centralia PA, here in the USA, and it’s described as being like a volcano and it’s expanding is the scary part. You supposedly need special suits to go near a volcano or risk dying from the extreme heat, smoke - they described the smell of sulfur in the story -, and such. The stuff they described in the story though, makes it sound more like the sort of made up stories for places like Chernobyl or genetic lab engineering projects.
That rotten egg smell is H²S. Very deadly. The underground mine fire kinda reminds me of the first Silent Hill movie. Also, I have an idea on what happened to Teddy.
So much for being easier on the empty gratuitous animal torture/suffer writing. There's been a few changes in that of late & bc I am far too sensitive when it comes to that stuff, I'm gonna have to nope out here. ✌️ y'all!!!!

I guess I should mention that WE put the smell in the gas lines so that you know if it’s leaking around your house, BBQ or car.
