Ahh. I was hoping for Ironjawz with Gordrakk, da fist of Gork! He rides a Maw-krusha called Bigteef. Basically a legless muscular tailed creature that walks on it's fists. IronJawz are way bigger meaner then the Ironclaws. Still we sort of need a boar lord I suppose but we already have (Oglok the 'Orrible) as a unique lord in the tech tree. Personally I have no interest in playing Khorne nor ogres as they were badly implemented in my mind as imagine base khorne faction without skarbrands buffs & his campaign was boring so didn't keep my interest.
I'm probably just buying for the savage orc Shaman if I'm honest as Wurzzag is my jam. Like I enjoy goblins & black orcs & such but savage orcs seem the most green skin to me.
Scyla is effectively Khorne's pet chaos spawn. Basically, he was one of the Big Tin Man's favourite warriors, but couldn't actually handle all the gifts Khorne gave him. He devolved into a Spawn, but somehow, quite possibly one of Khorne's own gifts, he retains a semblance of his mind- not enough to actually lead his tribe, but enough that he could issue and receive challenges back on the tabletop. His lasting legacy is "This guy is one of the OG Chaos characters", rocking in alongside the likes Arbaal, Morderk, Egrimm and Aekold. He's also never had a pretty model- going from a blood hound with Two stinger tails to a Harryhausen-faced ape with scales, to Red Hulk with a Stinger. Skarr was a nothingburger from the very end of the End Times. His gimmick is that he doesn't die. He just respawns from the nearest puddle of blood- But the "cost" is that he loses just a little bit of his humanity every time. As a champion of Khorne who really, really likes his job. His lasting legacy is "Literally every Khornate release after him." This is the guy who codified the Age of Sigmar aesthetic for Khorne, the naming convention, and to an extent even the playstyle.
"Everything in Khorns army looks like a melee powerhouse that wants to punch you in the face" That's because everything in Khorns army is a melee powerhouse that wants to punch you in the face
Scyla is just a chaos lord from long ago who kept mutating during his life, and eventually failed to deserve demonic ascension, turning into a spawn instead. In the game he was just a stronger spawn, though he did have a collar of Khorne from his champion days, giving him magic resistance. I think he now has a model in Blood Bowl of all places.
Yeah, he's in BB. His model is the most true to lore yet, but that just means it's also one of his ugliest. I still think his best look was the Harryhausen-faced ape with scales and stinger tail from IIRC 6th. Might've been 5th, even.
They need to include fighting retreat from Pharaoh. Also make Ogre Camps movable so you don’t have to make them from scratch. I mean doesn’t Chaos horde faction do basically that? Finally, make it easier to vassalize factions that you can basically wipe out in less than five turns. Most of the time all my enemies fight to the bitter end so the vassal option is pretty much redundant.
Ikr, I thought it was strange that I'd beat one down to 1 settlement left, wipe out their entire army, and STILL they refuse to be vassalized with my army sieging their capital.
They seemed to avoid mentioning the rework for Ogres in the dev video, so hopefully they're waiting to reveal the details until closer to the release, and it has moveable camps!
If Wuurzag is being moved to Cathay that can only mean that the new Greenskin LL is going to start in the Badlands somewhere probably at Ekrund or at Black Crag. Makes no sense to take the Greenskins out of that part of the map.
5:00 U`Zhul in the Lore, actually does that, he moves around the World and challenges anybody. Doesn't matter if its a High Elf, Undead, Dwarf, Man, Oger or Orc he appears before them and challenges them to a Duel and takes their Skulls. So it would be Lore friendly, if CA gives him kind of a fast travel mechanic. But I doubt that he can kill Legendary Lords permanently, I don't think this will work. The only one he couldn't defeat was Sigmar, he fought against him 3 days and lost, ever since this defeat, U`Zhul has kind of a grudge against the Empire. So my guess is that CA will set his Startposition close to the Empire, to represent this.
What would be *excellent* is if they added the ability to hire ogre mercenaries as an option for the player as any faction leader. Admittedly it'd get annoying if that one province lord that you've been beating up just suddenly hires a ton of ogres to maul you while you're away from home beating that guy up, so maybe not.
@@kevingriffith6011 I mean, you can get like...1 unit of basic bulls if there's an ogre camp nearby. But I would be down for the return of "OGRES, MY LORD!"
@@Tachii31 I was thinking more about just "buying the allegiance of another faction temporarily" kind of thing. As I mentioned in the other post, though, I do think it has a risk of becoming too centralizing of a mechanic unless you make the price of hiring the ogre stack *extremely high*... like as expensive as hiring the entire stack yourself, just faster and with less control.... and probably without eating the upkeep costs yourself.
I'm a huge fan of the greenskins and the ogres. I loved grom the paunch when his dlc dropped. I can't wait to see Gorbad iron claw and golflag maneater.
The problem with Kostaltyn is that he has nothing unique nor thematic about him. He shouldn't have the Ice Court mechanic, that's one thing, and secondly, there are no orthodoxy themed units, so he and his patriarchs are completely alone in the roster, outside maybe the Elemental Bear.
3:40, the devs stated in the segment about GolgMan that after he beats up Vlad, he COULD give those settlements to Franz. So it's safe to assume his faction will be able to occupy settlements.
I really hope this DLC is a great success so Warhammer 3 gets more big stuff and hopefully one day we get Ind and Kuresh factions (I know is wishful thinking but I won't stop wishing for it)
Da great green prophet in Cathay? Sign me up for that! Love Wurzag. Getting a new campaign experience for him sounds good. Been holding off on starting a new green skin campaign until this new DLC drops.
Skar was great news for me for a couple of reasons. First, I really wanted him to be added but I was concerned he wouldnt be because he is an end-times character. Secondly, I was worried that if he WAS added, he would take up Arbaal's spot as LL and I really want the latter as a playable LL. As a LH, Skarr is perfect and this greatly boosts the chance we will see Arbaal soon ( I wish they would confirm him already). With Skulltaker, Arbaal, and Skarr, my "wishlist" has really wound down. All thats left for me is for them to add Ghorros, Engrimm, the Glotkin, and give generic Chaos characters all their mount options (As they should have access to manticores and dragons regardless of mark or no mark)..... If all that is done, everything I have hoped for from the launch of the first game will be finished.
I think that CA should make Frostbite reduce your damage by 10% to make it more valuable and applicable in battle. It would also make unit with Immune to Contact Effect trait more valuable.
For the chaos invasion when you play kolek and archaon it could simply be other lords/armies/tribes that are adversaries since they see themselves as being more worthy than you. Which would still stay in line with chaos followers shenanigans. In my opinion
i think it should be a thing where a ton of enemy lords spawn of both chaos warrior and norskans, but lets say theirs a quest thats like "raze altdorf" then you get to confederate them
Hi there Zerk. I rewatched your video: "Conquering the Empire with only INVINCIBLE GHOSTS!" Excellent demonstration of a high PR army. Maybe it would be fun for you to demonstrate more mechanic demonstration videos. For example: "How to max out increased movement post battle with Taurox or Skarbrand." That would be really great for us newbulons. Cheers.
The Mercanary Aspect of Golgfag reminds me of something they did in Three Kingdoms. There, the Bandit Queen could take contracts to fight against someone, and it had some options about gifting the settlements taken to the contractor. It was interesting, but never really captured my attention for long. Being tied to territory just led to getting a lot of same-y contracts and territory you could expand into yourself, you'd just give away. It would probably work a lot better as a horde faction, being able to freely move around and all that. But its probably for the best they have a template to work from.
I'd love savage orcs with a horde mechanic. That'd be great. Also, Ogre horde. More ogres better. Beastmen mechanics are great now, hoping for more of that kind of playstyle. But when are they really overhauling Norsca? We love us some raidy boys.
Gorbad mechanic idea sounds great on paper, but in reality it's going to boil down to one or two effects that are simply better than everything else and that's all you'll use. Like the old nurgle plague system where you only ever used one particular plague to buff your army.
Ogre's frostbite in the tabletop gave debuffs to melee, not speed (well it impacted your speed of combat), so I can imagine the Yheetees givinh an aura of minus meelee attack, and slowing down the ennemy's attack speed, thus giving them a more defensive role ^^
Gorbad is a lord I have been hoping for since TTW 1, he is my favorite warboss. I love our favorite murder machine Grimgor as much as anyone. A few events leading to a snowball effect and suddenly an endlessly growing green tidal wave sweeps away entire nations. On top of that, his mechanics sound like an incentive to use to use the greenskins whole roster, not just spam the same half dozen.
A Chaos Invasion could be done in the style of the current Endgame crisis way, only that not just one race starts causing trouble but every Chaos faction on the map including Norsca and Beastmen. All I want to see is more slaanesh, monkey King, and (zerk will hate this) reworks for dark elves and new wood elf lords
I hope theyll give khorne also a free legendary lord, give Tzeench a free Legendary lord later on and give slaneesh its own dlc with a legendary lord and a free Legendary lord so all 4 great chaos demons can have 3 legendary lords atleast.
and when will the new dlc be?
3:39 Wunderbar!
Scylla was a norscan paladin that got too mutated by khorne and became a mindless uberspawn
Is Kislev finaly getting a tech tree?
I missed the chaos invasion so much
Da Plan seem just a stranger to use Grom buff creator
"Karl Franz having trouble with Vlad"? How dare you.
I’m pretty disappointed Scyla just becomes 1 of 3 Legendary Heroes. He would fit perfectly as a Norscan Lord, while looking cool and unique.
All I want is a Thanquol DLC
SO HYPED FOR GOLFAG!
I’d prefer Gorbag’s faction to be a horde, like the Beastmen or The Grudgebearers.
