The French catacombs were France capital is build on giant sink hole they themselves made by using the sandstone below the city resulting in entire portions sinking into hell with one of the largest sink wholes being 100 feet across is funny

The absolute bear minimum we need for the seiges... Is to re-skin the ladders based off the factions and units.
Would add way more flavour if the ladders fit each faction
Hell, with the Ghosts, All you'd have to do is delete the Ladders, and they just float up in the same line of the ladders but there's no ladder there.

There actually is faction based ladders, at least from what I can guess. The lizard men have their own ladders, and if you look really closely at the 'default' ladders, they have little wax seals on them in the style of the empire, making me think that there are more ladder models that exist somewhere in the games models, or possibly where planned to be added in but never were aside from the lizardmen.
Vampire coast has boarding hooks as ladders.
Add in having to build the ladder, make it less fatiguing in turn [But still fatiguing nat] And have some units who don't need ladders. Units who can just scale the walls [gutter runners, ghosts, etc, skaven in general.] effectively, and in general look back toward Warhammer: Battle march for ideas. [Duels between lords/heroes maybe?]
I'm biased granted, I love Battle march a lot. I'd wager they did sieges better.
I would be all for it but we wont get that or faction towers. CA has data that tells them most people auto resolve a majority of battles so why make a decision that ultimately wont earn them that much favor? you could argue that if they actually put in some effort to make their siege battles enjoyable then the ladders are part of that and i do agree with that but Im not the CA upper management that has to approve paying artists to do that.

I've always had a weird soft spot for Kemmler, and I'm glad he's coming in for some love. Playing him is fun but I always fail to confederate with the Red Duke before he goes under, which is a pity because the Red Duke's armor is bitchin'.
I generally give the duke his provincial capital, keeps him alive longer :3
In that case I would recommend the mod called recruit defeated legendary lords

Killing him would be a total waste for there leader whom would 100% benefit the empire
keeping him loyal would be pretty easy just let him keep his titles… many lords didn’t want to be king because living is great.

@@unifiedhorizons2663if a faction just dies on its own you can recruit them you don't have to be the one to destroy them, if I was Tyrion and Teclis died across the map I could then recruit him (for example)

It'd be cool if Nagash (when he comes out for 99.99) could recruit ethereal units regardless of faction, because the lost Sylvan knights are cool but they are on a stinky elf roster.

Would be kool if Nagash specialised in Ethereal units, having bonuses on his skill tree, research for them, giving them spell resistance, reduced upkeep, higher recruit level and all that good shit.

OMG. The ghosts going up ladders (that they apparently brought with them) is the most hilarious thing ever. It blows my mind that ethereal units don't ignore walls.

Kemmler was my favourite charachter in Wh2, killing french , killing elfs, going to battle in slippers, he is the most based grandpa in history.
I think the healing cap additions are additive. So the +100% you get brings it to 160% instead of 120%. It's nearly triple.
Most modifiers in the game operate like that.

I love Kemmler. I hope when the leaked Dogs of War arrive that we'll see Krinal on the map. Heinrich's ancient fortress in the Vaults somewhere north-northeast of Skavenblight as a ten-slot settlement with a landmark for both him and Borgio.
Kemmler hex wraith doom stack is one of my favs in the game, it’s basically unstoppable
I just love this one. Had been rewatching it a few times and it's still magnificent.
Vampires are so much fun, especially VLAD with his army placement.
Helman Ghorst is my current favorite, his invincible zombies are just hilariously broken.
@@brianu2229 It shocked me a a few weeks ago I played Skarbrand and Ghorst wiped out most of the Chaos Dwarfs and I was like wtf is going on. Went to fight him, and when I played battle against him cause auto resolve was in his favor I was like "a bunch of zombies wtf is this game on crack" and then proceeded to watch CHOSEN OF KHORNE STRUGGLE WITH KILLING ZOMBIES, absolutely insane

I agree vlad is the most fun and one of the best duelists in the game when leveled and geared

Hot tip, pretty sure you can press the 'balane offer' button or whatever it's called when "selling" a settlement and get upwards of tens of thousands of treasury depending on faction and settlement while still gaining the benefit of "gifting" the settlement
I never get time to watch these videos but your campaign ideas are great because I've done similar things in Warhammer for thousands of hours where I set myself unnecessary limitations for fun

Another great themed army campaign. I love it. I am going to try this when I finish my current campaign with Katarina. Undead/Vampire Counts were my very first table top army way back in the day. Death to elves!
In the mod, "Legion of Nagash" not only do you play as the faction of Nagash and obtain him as a legendary lord but some of the generic lords have insane traits. For example, one adds an additional 10% physical resistance to all spectral units, along with the added unit "Carrion Wraiths".. which are essentially what Carrions should have been in the first place. Legendary lords also have a red line which includes an additional 10% ward save to all Nagashizzar units (*spectral included*) at rank 7 or higher. Their 70% resistance to most attacks, tagged with an increase in speed and melee attack + charge bonus make using Nagash himself trivial. I find myself with 10+ generic lords all with the spectral buff trait running around conquering the map. Lots of fun, recommend the mod.
Kemmler before battle probably whips off one of those bad boy slippers, points it squarely at the enemy, and yells:
"I wiw sendyoo toohjeezus."

You're videos are always great fun to watch. Especially when you run into the elves and the French. Because like you said in a different video, "what do we do when we see the French? We attack them!"
Kemmler is my favorite VC campaign, something about a grumpy old man running rampant through the elves and the frogs just feels right.

You need to use Dynamic Settlements, it's such a cool cosmetic mod
Take a settlement and it makes it faction-based aesthetic
Black Gandalph and the Traitor Army of Ghost, and all this was done while wearing slippers. Damn this is a really good video i realy love the stuff you do with those "Role Play Campaigns".
May i suggest a '"Gobbo gets an all you can eat Buffet (Grom)" or a "Look at me and LOVE me! (Azazael, Sigvald or N'Kari)

I love to create some chaff armies (full zombies) directly in the beginning, use them in a autoresolve fight (as much casulties as possible), raise tier 5 units in turn 10^^

Hey, I've played this one! I did it with only Kemmlers army though. The other armies I used were normal counts-armies.
Also the ambush success chance is weird i know but iv noticed a few things about ambushing i believe is going on when all is said and done.
First the ambush chance stated above your head when you go into ambush stance is your personal ambush level, i don’t look at it as a % but thats how its calculated. Lets use your 80% as an example, this is a combination of the regions base chance to ambush plus your army’s bonuses added. Now this isnt exactly the ambush % chance the game is going to use in the end. Because i have noticed its a lot harder to ambush a larger army than it is to ambush a smaller one. So i believe the army size you are attempting to ambush is important to what your end result ambush % chance to succeed. Certain units could potentially also affect these chances and we wouldn’t ever really know it.
Im sure there is someone out there who knows how it truely works but in the end i completely agree it feels like the AI cheats in so many different ways.

So I had this issue with battle realism the other day, and I took a quick peek at the settings and there actually is a battle realism button you can now toggle on or off at anytime 🎉 so no more issues with the inability to pause

I just did this myself! Super fun campaign, I did 90% ghosts and skeletons, no zombies, no vampires, everything else is used sparingly

These Ambush chances are calculated by the elfes, this why it feels like 10% always. Damn those tricky elfes.
