2nd stage isnt just effected by gently pressing the button, but also by stop pressing the trigger at a certain point. A friend discovered this and modded his controller with screws so the QB trigger always stopped at that point. So every QB was stage 2, he was tough to face cause of that
Though you won't see it often online, blading is STUPIDLY buggy on the 1.2 reg, the blade lock with the right arm has unusually strong tracking and lock range so you can use it to lunge really far then follow-up with your left arm blade. Give it a try sometime against your friends or against the AI
Right now writing code to implement cancelling and independent cooldowns -- About half way through an ACFA clone in Unreal Engine and realized my quickboosting didn't "feel right" and realized I'd forgotten to implement instant cancels properly Thanks for the help.
It is a beat loop for scratching. (An arcade remix, as you've already pointed out.) I got it from my friend who is a dj, but I forgot who actually made the loop, because it wasn't him.
I would, but my personal tactics don't well online due to lag. Asides from that, PvP tactics are so subtle, and the list is so long, that I can't possibly cover all the topics myself. The only useful one I can think of off the top of my head is to QB before you launch your missiles to make your shots fly faster. Anyway, thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked the video.
It's actually the exact same way as SetB described in the video! This probably would have been easy to figure out if you just took a second to test all of your buttons to spent some time in the testing area. For your own good, just switch to SetB so you can turn and shoot at the same time. It's not possible to do with SetA.
I think those are the Lancel legs. They're actually the legs you start the game with, I think, lol. I use them because they have decent load, and very low EN drain.
If you don't release the left analog stick, you'll probably perform a regular QB instead of a quickturn. Make sure that turning is the only "directional command" you are inputting when you press the trigger. I screw this up a lot, too. I think the control layouts for the two consoles are the same. The only thing you need to mention is which control setup you are using. I use Setup B.
Life hasn't killed me yet, haha. I got ACV at launch, but after spending some time with it, I don't really have anything good to say about the game, sadly. I was very disappointed. The game was very unpolished and nearly unplayable, even after I beat the whole thing and got all the parts. The online match system is completely messed up. You should probably save up for the new game Verdict Day and see how that comes out, maybe.
It's a scratch loop of a pacman beat. My friend who was a Dj shared it with me like 8 years ago or something, lol. I'm not entirely sure how to get a copy of it.
Woops. Those aren't actually shoulder parts. They're BACK parts. They just look all off to the side because of the whiteglint core. They're ADD boosters, but I don't know what the name is. You're supposed to buy them in the shop, I think....
Strange, I know 'Spider-Manning' as 'Blade-traveling' and that 'weird' turn is more often referred to as Drift Turning I think. But never mind that, its still a very good tutorial for the learners and intermediates. Very good job.
Really? I distinctly saw that the Drift didn't work if I tried it in the same direction as a QuickTurn. I had to cancel it with a different booster/direction like any other QB cancel. Eh, maybe it's just me that's weird. I don't use that technique on purpose, usually. Thanks for your detailed input. I'm sure someone will find it useful.
@Meizuken There are other tutorials out there that go into detail about 2nd staging, and they even have footage of how to use the controller. That's probably what you need to see. The xbox and ps3 operation are the same. This one I find the most useful: watch?v=38qiKpf9IOg Let me know if that works out, and check out ruffneck's other guides, too. They'll be useful.
I only own a PS3. The first few seconds of the demo says it was done on a playstation. =o I probably suck at QB chains because my controllers are worn down. That, and I probably don't have quite the magic fingers it requires.
Hehe, well I use layout A causs I played AC4 on that wand was aquainted with it. Ive played ACfA twice now, Its alright and QB chaining on there is a heck lot more easy to do and more affective than in AC4 where it barely works, I've only got to beat 2 missions so far A rank on first one C on other causs i didnt have stradegy i went in gunblazing and just hoped I outammoed and outarmored everything, at the time i had a rockets spread missle set up on a light AC.
lol I loved your tutorial you are so pro xD I'm a fan of AC sence I played years ago ACLR in ps2 but i'm not a pro and now i'm trying to pass the thirth final in ACFA and I saw a couple of video and always doing the QT and I didn't know how to do it, this video help me a lot, thank you
Hilarious and I know i may get flamed later for this even maybe by you teiltasvt but I discovred QB cancelling in AC4 before most people even knew about AC4 in US. At the time though i didnt know peopel later had a name for it, helped me ALOT in missions lol.
Yeah, I don't claim to be an authority on terminology. For instance, what I call "passing" is probably better known as jousting. And I don't think the phrase "drift turning" even existed when I posted this video, lol. Anyway, thanks for your compliments. =o
This might seem like a weird point, but this schematic I'm using was designed to specifically not have optimum performance, lol. The Lahire legs are fast, since they are LW legs, but they have the laser blade swing motion of a MW leg.
Really i shouldnt say QB cancelly causs i never really slowed down I just QB chained alot I should say, I had a medium-light AC design with duel back mounted grenade launchers and then eitehr the suped up duel machine guns or duel AoE grenade rifles id boost about laughing maniacly as the huge explosions ensued and my enemies just withered away...good times I had a similar setup in AC3SL where he was a medium weight with like 6-7 different weapons and weapon types on him. Was so fun.
Hey tieltavisvt, I tried 2nd staging, but I can perform it extremely rarely, because I can't figure out how I'm exactly doing it. Could you please explain to me in detail how to do it, I really want to learn how to do it more often. I play this game on ps3 and use the ps3's controller of coarse, just letting you know in case that's any problem.
@Sinspiration Spidermanning is pretty cheap for netplay, tbh. Its a nightmare for non-bladers to avoid in realtime online because of the latency issues in netplay.
Would love to fight you some time teiltasvt but i play on XB360, sorry bro. Havnt bbought ACfA yet but plan to, Im a old school AC fan so the new looks and stuff are a lil weird to me =)
@@0seraphic oh i see i just misinterpreted the way you explained it ive got quick turn working now I know the games just havent played for answers in awhile
I just got ACFA
And to say that this is easier said done is a HUGE understatement

the hell ive played for 5 some years now and didnt know about 2nd stage qb. cool stuff. Ive probably done it on accident a lot and never noticed.
Oh man this is a massive help, I'm working on a mech game and needed reference for some of AC's movement mechanics.

Thanks, will do
11 year old tutorial for a game I’m finally about to play

Good thing i learned bunny hop in older AC games
@Dnoobrs7
It sounds like you should probably use a less drainy side booster.
I think those are the Lancel legs. They're actually the legs you start the game with, I think, lol. I use them because they have decent load, and very low EN drain.

@Grenademoron
I appreciate your great compliment. Thanks for watching. =o
Thanks,I never actually knew about 2nd stage QBs.
Ah, that's good. I was actually pretty terrible with AC4. Glad you found a way to do well for yourself. =)

After watching this and practiced already kinda grasped it the first try
That SS rank doe
im here for amored core 6 lol
Hopefully the new game plays like this 🙏

Yes, this should all be applicable in ac4 as well.

I'm learning to make a script of a quickboost for a little videogame, somethink similar to armored core, but on PC!
Dhieen Name?
Dude what core and legs are you using? It looks awesome!
Seeing this vid made me realize. I chain too much. Thanks.for the tips

How are you since 4 years?XD (i was looking for some videos of For Answer for fun... and im asking myself if armored core V is good, i didnt buy it)
i got a AC i made to hit 4000 kph using the spider-manning and OB at the same time P.S 4000 kph is close to 2,500 mph and thats mach 3.2 so yeah
6:04 I discovered this by accident. I just don't have the skills to use it properly 😂
Nice video!
Dude what core and legs are you using?
Great vid
I just think my controller can't second stage, cause I press it down gently and it doesn't happen.
does this work in AC4 as well?

Geez, if some people don't quick turn stage cancel QB watching me fight WILL result in the viewer needing a barf bag
Hey Q: you doin this on PS3 or 360?
thx man i know how to be a better pilot
Hello, how do i do this on armored core 6?
almost none of this tech carries over to AC6
