It's a longer play, but Paldea evolved is likely the set with the best chance at a rate of return right now out of any set out there. $100 Booster boxes when the MSRP is now 161 AND a lot more to offer than 2nd sets of any other modern era. Not to mention, Pokemon actually told distributors it's a short printed product. Down the road, more people will want to open Scarlet and Violet sets because the pull rates are higher to feel less bad about their gambling when they ultimately lose 50% or more.

I had ordered 2 cases (8) booster boxes total back in May through the pre-order. WTF is going on? I think stores got limited supply. Other people said the big box stores will all be getting supply. Maybe you can get in a fist fight at Walmart for some boxes. Good luck 😅
A lot of stores got cocky with their allocation thinking they were getting a huge supply. Now the reality is setting in that there is only a handful of supply coming to LGSes.
Not sure if the info is public but stores are being told they cannot sell Lorcana, by certain distributors, unless it is directly through their own website

Nintendo was described as the big elephant kinda just trotting along doing its own thing ignoring the death battle race to pump out the most graphics and most expensive and most powerful ____. There's a lot of noise and emotion surrounding investments cause it involves money, what they've traded their free time they could have done anything else with for, but you gotta stay the course and not panic. At the end of the day buy hold and sell what you want that makes sense for you. If you don't have money then don't go borrow 100k from a shark and dump it into cardboard hoping to 10x and get out, invest in yourself, watch a skill tutorial video and learn how something works.

Buy the Charizard boxes. They're cheap and you get three in there. That's probably about as good as you'll get. I've heard rumours of an ETB reprint but no actual evidence. Don't worry about it anyway. Everyone's got an "I missed out" story like Rudy with the Zendikar boxes. Important thing is to learn from it and move forward. There's still tons of opportunity in Pokémon.
I am a Poke - fiend, but the Yu-gi-HO product is not to be slept on. I think they will have relatively strong rate of increase of the long term future. Its got a huge fanbase and the sealed product history speaks for its self. Go hard or go home.... that's what I say!
Huge print run compared to older sets, the special trainer cards don't hold value as seen from past ones and very few popular Pokemon for the chase cards. Pokemon sets will always go up in value over the years but these will be below 300 5 years from now
Yeah people never had these cards in person who say they aren't good. They all look fantastic, the pokemon just aren't nostalgic for players as they are new. 151 will sell insanely well and obsidian flames may also do very well with Charizard at the helm.

i think sword and shield era is great, but looking back on it, certain sets in sun moon area were insane and in my opinion, they had the better golds, rainbows, full arts, and towards the end, the alt arts were beautiful. I wish I got in on the best sm sets before their price rise

Most likely whoever you bought from listed what they thought they would get and found out it wasn't an accurate estimate. So they cancelled it
